We had just finished at Epcot and then we took the Friendship boat to the Yacht and Beach Club. Again great Boat Mojo. The boat was just sitting there waiting, we hurried a bit to board, but we hadn't needed to. The boat sat for a bit before we actually took off.
We went to the Yacht Club first. We exited the boat with two ladies who were complaining that the Gingerbread Lighthouse that was there last year wasn't here this year. We checked out the scene they had on display. The train wasn't running, but the Skyliner was.
Then we walked over to the Beach Club.
This year the Carousel featured Scrooge mcDuck from the Muppet Christmas Carol.
The first horse is the Scrooge McDuck horse. As you’d imagine, the theme here is: money. A wonderful sculpt of Scrooge is found in a wreath with dollar bills and coins scattered throughout.
The next horse that we’ll take a look at is a horse themed to Jiminy Cricket, who portrays the Ghost of Christmas Past. In a scene depicted on the horse, Jiminy Cricket shows Scrooge a vision of his early life where his love of money wins over his love of Isabelle.
Next up is the Ghost of Christmas Present horse, which depicts Willie the Giant with Scrooge in his pocket. A scene on top of the horse has a banquet Christmas dinner, complete with pig and cornucopia.
The final horse on the carousel is the Ghost of Christmas Future, which depicts Pete and a scene in the cemetery where Scrooge learns that he’s “the richest man in the cemetery” as Pete pushes him into his grave. A tombstone with “RIP Ebenezer Scrooge” etched into it sits atop the horse.
The final horse sits separate from the carousel and features the ghost of Jacob Marley – represented by Goofy in the movie. Chains cover the horse, along with some more money and a piggy bank.
And finally everything that went into making this!
We went to Martha's Vineyard and enjoyed some adult beverages while we let our feet and legs have a break. Our server was quite quirky.
Then we went to the Boardwalk via the Friendship boat. We were about halfway across the dock, and we had the best luck again. The gal running the boat hollered to us,”Where are you going?”
When we answered back, “Boardwalk!” She held the boat for another minute. It was then that I realized I had left my water I purchased earlier that day in Martha's Vineyard. Doh!
When we arrived at the Boardwalk, we checked out this tree outside.
Then we headed to the lobby to see the gingerbread house.
It was modeled after the Boardwalk Bakery.
And had this super cute inside with Mickey and Minnie as the Bakers!
I bought a loaf of Gingerbread cake.
Then we went to Abracadabar to wait for our table to be ready at Flying Fish.
We had great interactions with all the people around us and enjoyed more beverages. We checked in over 45 minutes early for Flying Fish and they took us 39 minutes later or 15 minutes early.
We already knew what we wanted and started with the pork belly. I got the recommended wine. Jill ordered a glass of Chateau Neuf de- Pape which was beautiful.
The pork belly was luscious and tender. We were both in heaven!
The pause between courses was a little more than we would have preferred but we both agreed that longer was better than shorter. I ordered the Seafood Trophie Pasta. Now it doesn’t look like there’s pasta in there, but trust me there is!
Jill got the Char Crusted New York Strip.

Our entrees were both spectacular! I ate way more of mine than I expected to. Jill loved her potatoes. I had a taste and they were bomb.
In the end we both ended up taking some back to the room. Mine was mostly shrimp and pasta. But we each easily had another meal in there. Possibly even two or three with Jill’s portion. We considered canceling tomorrow night's dinner reservation, but decided to keep it since it was a place both of us really wanted to go to. Besides, we didn't have to order an entire dinner right?
We contemplated dessert, but both of us were too full to waste calories on anything on the menu. Nothing really appealed to us.
We paid the check and headed to the boat launch. We decided that the most economical and feet saving way to get back to Kidani was to take a Friendship boat to DHS and then a bus from there. We only waited a few minutes for the boat to arrive. After it dropped us at DHS we made our way to the bus stop, and there was a bus waiting for us.
Back in the room, I ate my gingerbread cookie that I had purchased earlier today. Jill said she was going to go right to bed as soon as we got back to the room, but we ended up staying up having a thoughtful conversation before drifting off to sleep.
