I have to know how the wedding turned out or IF there was ever a wedding. I am seeing some major red flags. :scared1:

This TR is way too much fun for me. I's subscribing at the expense of your family (LOL!) I feel like I am part of some something so tragic yet halarious. :lmao:

Oh yes pm me with that info too because i just about feel out when i read that...she had a whole lota nerve.

I need my fix -- where is the update?:dance3:

This is the first thread I look for when I sign on

I'm hoping you didn't snap and hijack the Monorail. Although I'm not sure I'd blame you if you did. LOL!

TR like this are exactly why we keep our WDW trips top secret (even from the girls) until launch time. We can't risk his sister finding out and joining us with Rosemary's baby in tow. Although I'm not sure which one is more immature (and I tolerate her better than HE does)

But we're still in a bad mood.
Everybody around us is skipping and smiling, and we look as if we are going to bury our childhood dog under Spaceship Earth.

Ok, that part had me rolling! :rotfl2:

Love the frank and honest trip report. Hope there is a new post soon. I want to kick your sis and I dont even know her. Can't wait to hear the rest

OMG - I'm loving your report and getting scared all at the same time! We have a trip planned in just a few weeks - we are bringing my sons friend with us. The same friend who, when my son went to Adventureland with him last year, did not ride any rides - but has promised he WILL ride rides at Disney. He'll either ride - or he'll become pretty familiar with the benches!! Plus on the second half of our trip we have some of our friends "joining" us (they are staying at a different resort) we invited them to come during our trip so we could show them around because they have basically never been before (he was here once back before Epcot was built) I am sooo hoping none of your trip rubs off!!

Poor Klondike and Snow (the polar bears....they were born here in Denver and my oldest feels like they are her polar bears).

My step-brother felt the same way about the polar bear. When we were in Wild Arctic (we didn't do the tour) he got so mad and it ruined the rest of the day.

I have to say it's amazing that something hasnt been done about the polar bear. I know alot of people who have been and have commented on the stressful acting of him. I got so upset during my trip last year (to the point of tears!) because of the way he was acting (and had been told he'd been acting about 6 months earlier) I actually asked a seaworld rep where all of these animals are kept. All i got was a snoty lady look down her nose at me and said "they are all kepted out back in whatever regulatory space they need" and she turned away. I keep saying that i'm sure they are kept in a suitable sized place because im sure checks are carried out by authorities, but obviously the space is NOT big enough for that polar bear - feel VERY sorry for the animals there (I have never looked at a birds eye map, but when you think about it what room other than what you can see- especially for the whales where you can see behind teh big screen too) do they have?????)

I bet there are a lot of us who feel the same way about the bears... I'm going to email SeaWorld and tell them how I feel. We saw the bears in Wild Artic the first time we went to SeaWorld and I refused to ever go see them again. When I booked the tour all I saw was "touch a penguin", if I had seen the polar bear part I probably wouldn't have booked it.

That said, I have a friend who works in a rehabilitation aquarium in FL and SeaWorld does a LOT for them. They've even sent a couple of their trainers down there to help out with difficult animals, and they've taken in several that couldn't be released and that the aquarium couldn't afford to keep.

So IMO Seaworld isn't all bad, but something needs to be done about those bears.

For all the ones who posted about their own "nightmare" trips, thanks for sharing !!! I'd read a TR a while ago about a DIS family who had taken their SIL and she ruined their trip, but I thought it could never happen to us.

My advice to yall who are going to take friends/family on a trip... don't do like us. We were way too patient. As soon as you see the signs, DUMP THEM !!!!! Don't forget it's your vacation too.

Jess admitted to me a few days ago that she wasn't prepared at all for Disney and even admitted being a boulet ! She said she didn't realize how big everything would be, and how much walking she'd have to do, even though I had warned her. That doesn't make up for her attitude during this whole trip, but it's nice to know it wasn't all in my head.

A blister? As in welcome to a day at the theme parks blister? As in, suck it up, put on a bandaid, and LET'S GO blister?

Goodness, a blister - they might have had to amputate ;)

:happytv: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

But we're still in a bad mood.
Everybody around us is skipping and smiling, and we look as if we are going to bury our childhood dog under Spaceship Earth.

Ok, that part had me rolling! :rotfl2:

Thanks, I kinda liked it myself and I reserve the right to reuse it !

Hey! I know your cute trainer! He's a really nice guy. Good taste :thumbsup2

Good to know !!! Plus, he likes whales, which means I may actually have a shot!

Thanks for the support about my boss thing. He left yesterday and I'm still very upset about the whole thing. We were more than just boss/employee.

This trip report should come with a complimentary box of tissues. It's a bucket of tears from laughter and crying of frustration.

Looks are exchanged between Grumpy and myself. Who's gonna say it first ? Fine, I'll go.

"Pop it."

My sister looks at me like I have two heads.

"What do you mean, POP IT ?"
"I mean find something with a sharp end, stick it in there and pop the darn thing. Come on, I'll even touch your stinkin foot and do it for you if you want."
"Are you CRAZY?"

Has she never had a blister before ?!

"I don't even think I can walk back to the entrance."
"Well I ain't gonna carry you, that's for sure."

I have little Neosporin packets (Can I just say how much I *love* those ?? We don't have anything like it here. I brought 5 boxes home and carry the little packets everywhere.) and band-aids in my backpack. I give her that, even though I don't think it's gonna help at all until she pops the thing.

So we're all sitting here and Alex is helping her take care of her toe when I notice there's a SQUIRREL inside Jess's shoe on the floor !!!!! It was hilarious, the little buddy was actually IN her shoe. By the time I got my camera it was too late though but he stayed around us and tried to go back in a few times. Must have been a cheese loving squirrel.

"Okay, I think I can walk back now."

It was a little before 4pm, the Seymor and Clyde show was scheduled at 4.30 and we were steps away from it. Could we at least go see that ?

"Oh, please, let's just go. We've seen a lot and what if I can't walk back after that ?"

YOU HAVE A FRICKIN BLISTER !!!!!!!!!!!!

I tell them I need a drink and Grumpy needs to come with me in case I get lost. We leave.

"What do we do ? It's your favorite show !"
"I don't care. Let's just go before I lose it and completly ruin this trip."

So, we go. Jessica says she can "make it" as long as we walk slowly. I tell her WE don't need to walk slowly, she does, and we'll meet her at the shop area near the exit.

"There's shops ?"

Oh NOW she feels better and we make it in record time (and by that I mean we only wait for her 10mns in front of the shop).

Jess wants a polar bear T-Shirt and Grumpy agrees to buy it for her, and tells me to go pick up one for myself. I find a cute one that I can actually wear to work. For those of you who are Pooh sized like me, SeaWorld has really improved in that area. The first 3 times we went I couldn't find a decent shirt that came in sizes bigger than XL. This time I found 2X, 3X, and there were even a few 5X in there. Same shirts as the "normal" sizes, just bigger. At last they figured we like cute shirts too.

I find Grumpy waiting in line by herself. "Where's Jess ?"
"Outside. She says she's too tired to stand in line."

Oh for God's sake. We're ALL tired. I love Seaworld but the layout is confusing and you have to cross the park several times in order to go from show to show. My feet hurt like hell too.

"What did you pick for yourself ?"
"Nothing. They don't have that tie dye top I wanted, and there's nothing else I like. You go wait outside there's no need for 2 of us to stand in line."

I go out, find Jess & Alex sitting on a bench.

"I'll be right back, you guys stay here and wait for Grumpy. DON'T MOVE."

As if.

The Key West area is not that far. I ran (okay, wobbled) back there, found the shop, grabbed the tank top Grumpy wanted, paid and wobbled back to the other shop.

They're not on the bench anymore. Grumpy is standing by herself in front of the shop. FUMING.

"What do you mean, where are they ? Where were YOU ? I told you to wait outside! Can't you do what I tell you for once, what are you, four years old?"

Great. Now I'm the one she's mad at. I know she's lashing out at me because Jess is upsetting her. I understand that, but it's still a bit hard to swallow. It's guilt trip time.

"I went back to Key West to get your top. You're welcome."

She apologizes and thanks me for the shirt. I say we need to go before we kill each other.

But before that Grumpy wants to have our tickets stamped, just in case. When you buy one-day ticket at Seaworld, you can get it stamped on your way out for a free 2nd day. There was the possibility we'd want to go back, and it didn't cost us anything to do that so Grumpy & I waited in line while Jess & Alex sat on a bench.

Then we got our cab and went back to POP. I was sitting in front and could hear Jess & Alex wondering, in french, if we could be let out in front of our building instead of the main hall but neither of them wanted to ask. So I did. The driver said he wasn't supposed to (wonder why??).

"Ten bucks if you do."

I need to put some distance between me and Jessica, like, right now.

"Deal!"

So back in our rooms we go. Jess spots a duck and starts feeding it some kind of cookie she had in her pocket (when did she get cookies?!). Of course, eten seconds later there are now half a dozen ducks following her, including two that actually followed her IN the room - we were on the ground floor.
Later she had to go through the connecting door and out our door, because the ducks were still waiting outside her door. It was pretty funny. That'll teach her not to feed animals in Disney!

Grumpy & I went to the pool, which was completly empty. We had almost 4 hours to kill before our ADR so we took our time, then Alex and I went to the food court/shop thing and looked around. Jessica napped.

When we came back from the shop, it dawned on me that today was Alex's birthday and we had yet to wish her a good one. I felt really bad. But I knew we were going to have fun that night. We were going to Chef Mickey's!!!!

Grumpy & I had even made custom shirts just for that evening. And they looked cute!

Jess woke from her nap upset. Her toe still hurt. Did we have to go out ? We had ordered pizza in the first night, why couldn't we do that again ?

That's when I lost it.

"That's when I lost it."

Now that is a real cliffhanger there! And not a positive one either.

No "And that is when the Dream Team said we had won!"

No "That's when we walked right into Space Mountain with no waiting!"

No "Thats when they said the meal was free!"

Nope.

So sorry this is not going well. I am afraid I will be posting some stories after our trip in December along the same line. My mother has control issues and I am her daughter so I do too. And we don't do well when we are tired. I don't know what I was thinking when I planned it. I bet you were thinking the same thing right about now.

Thanks for sharing though! It is fun to read along. And you are definitely the good daughter for picking up the shirt for Grumpy!

Oh, my...I hope you have time to update today. Can't wait to read what happens.

Lisa

Good grief. Are you sure Jess and Alex aren't 13?

More more!! Don't leave us hanging!!

BTW.... my sister's name is Marina! That's not a name I hear or see often!
