Jen- I am so upset for Buddy. His Mom is the poster woman for horrible mother. Her entire family is estranged from either her or each otherI am feeling snarky lately and just posted on a MIL bashing thread and I figure if I can treat this woman with courtesy and respect then I have a hard time understanding that one! Anyway, Buddy is going to talk to a lawyer to see what he is able to do if he needs to step in. WE tried to get his Mom to at least give him POA so that he could protect her and make sure that his nephew could visit but she changed her mind and left things the way they were in order "to give Cathy one more chance." Well, she had the stroke and it triggered he dementia. Sometimes she is fine and others not so much. Cathy needed to remove the phones because she kept calling the police to rescue a baby that was crying. The night aide quit when she called the police to complain the girl would not let her go out to find the crying child. Now things are the way they are so we'll see.
Glass #2 being poured now.
You know what? I don't think it's snarky at all to vent sometimes about situations that really stink.
I used to work at an acute care rehab center on the brain injury team. Essentially, I got all of the stroke patients that had dementia, and I know exactly what that entails. So, double
at that too.Nan, wanna piece of Texas sheet cake with your glass #2?

And for anyone who's wondering, dinner kicked butt and the fried cabbage was lovely.

I really eat healthy when DH is away...Hey....It's ONE year out of my life where I can do this.
I'd appreciate it!

I put pictures up on FB.

Those Pizzas look AMAZING!! You grill your pizza dough, right?
Have you been there before during the Christmas holiday?

By the morning we were both freezing. The furnace runs and we had hot water so what was up with that???? The repairman came out and it was a transformer ?? Anyway. I have a lot of sympathy for you and your crew. It is not that you need the heat on full time but it is so nice to take that chill off and then shut it down.
