Tonight is Caili's dinner out for landing her salchow, so we'll see where she picks. She was trying to talk me into taking her to this really upscale, expensive place that we usually only go to when we have gift certificates. I said I was really happy about the salchow, but I really don't want to spend $150 on dinner for me and the two kids, especially since the only reason she wants to go there is because they make awesome desserts.
I just wanted to jump in because I was lurking last week and wound up making the cabbage roll soup that Glynis posted. It was a HUGE hit, even from my skeptical DH so thank you! I love to cook so I would be happy to share recipes with all of you.
Dinner tonight is most likely pesto shrimp over pureed cauliflower and roasted broccoli on the side. I have a sick little guy though so we'll see how the day goes.
Please excuse this poor excuse for a friend.....
I havent read back but please know im sendin love and good vibes ower the water to all who need it !!
When I get home tonight I have to start cleaning this house. Just a little picking up during the week is just not cutting it.
Not sure about dinner yet.
Matthew is bringing Amy home to meet Doug and I tonight. I am excited and nervous all at the same time. I am so happy for him, as he finally has a smile and a bit of a hitch to his step. I just can't wait to meet the girl who is responsible for it.
WFDT ~ Rump Roast, potatoes, carrots, gravy, peach salad, homemade dinner rolls and strawberry shortcake. I hope she likes it - Matthew picked the menu so I know he will be happy.
Make it a great day my friends.
My boy has an infected hang nail... so I need to shower to take him to the store to pick out fun band-aids... so he will let me tend to his wound without a hassle.
My DF is going to his surgeon today for his annual check-up on his knee replacements. Hoping he gets some answers on his hip today also so he can schedule surgery. He is in awful pain daily now.

We are home with Batman bandaids and McDonalds nugget in tow.
I had a McD side salad and a blueberry scone.
I don't find this kind of landing "really cool". A lot of airports do that and I find it unnerving! LaGuardia is like that, JFK is similar, and the one here in New Orleans looks like you're about to land in a swamp. Incidentally, I am not fond of flying in and out of Denver. It's open prairie around the airport, but because of the mountains, they get a lot of strange wind patterns. The roughest landings and takeoffs I've had were at that airport

Aimee -- I don't use my mandoline often, but I am so glad I have it. I'm glad the medicine seems to be working. You have your surgery consult next week, right? I hope you are able to schedule that faster than it took to schedule the consult.
