NOLA girls have a great time!!!! Take pictures~

Ann - glad everything looks good for your Dad and that he's got the other surgery scheduled.

Oh Maria - so sorry about the tooth! Hopefully you'll get seen quickly and find some relief. Nothing worse that tooth pain. I'm sure someone will have a camera!

Just wanted to let you girls know my DM just called. Dad is now on the surgeon's list to be done sometime in March. So glad he actually scheduled at first he was saying he was not going to have it.

I dod not realize tht he needed replacements, I thought that he was just getting his checkup. I am so glad that he scheduled. Marisa is in PT with a woman who refuses to have surgery like the first one she had. Poor thing is terrified but cannot walk.

Thank you for such an unexpected warm welcome everyone!

My little guy seems to be perking up with some medicine so I was able to get dinner started after all. He's eating a bowl of the mashed cauliflower as we speak.

I'm going to try to jump in but it might take me a little while to get to know everyone but I'm looking forward to it!

Don't worry about trying to get to know us all at once, just jump in. We'll take care of the rest.....we are chatty;) I am glad your little guy is feeling better!

Oh No! Fill us in when you can. When will Greg know if he is safe?

AS to the meet....we're in!

Buddy will be fine.....I am the one who is going to need drugs! Marisa is actually doing very well....way better thatn the Dr or the PT guy thought. She has been working from home and that is why she is not on much. SHe keeps getting booted off....she uses her laptop from work. SHe said that maybe next week she will work from the rec room downstairs adn that will give her more DIS time

Nola ladies! Have Fun! Take pictures!

Ellen- do not worry! I rememebr when Dan brought a girl home and he later told me that she was nervous and had wanted to make a good impression. I liked that....the last one had wanted us to pass the test:headache:

DInner is a maple/mustard glazed chicken adn baked potato with a side salad.

I had such a nice day. My niece Amy surprised her Mom and my brother last night. She only told my nephew that she was coming with little Vinnie. Oh my goodness......it was wonderful! She and Sonny went to Marisa adn then my house for a visit.I am going to track her down before she leaves,
I want to be able to visit without chasiong Jake.

Thanks, everyone for the birthday wishes! We'll see what happens tonight. I came home from bowling to a baby boy who is running a fever, and barfing all over the place. Poor little guy! We may put off my birthday until he's feeling better.

Michelle - Welcome! Glad you liked the cabbage roll soup. We really liked it, too. Can't wait to get to know you!

Maria - Tooth pain is the worst!!! I hope you find a dentist who can work you in!

Ellen - Good luck tonight! I'm sure she's just going to love y'all!

Kathy and all the other NOLA gals - Enjoy your dinner tonight. Is someone making sure that Sheryl gets there? Tell her we love her!

Nan – What a great day you had, you surely deserved it! Hopefully you can make it down in October too!

Glynis – Sheryl is definitely coming tonight! Sorry your little one is sick, hopefully y’all can celebrate your birthday tomorrow or Sunday.

Off to get ready for our night out......

Wow you guys really are chatty!

Lauren- I lived in NJ until a little over 2 years ago. I probably could recommend someone if you really need one.

Nancy-glad you had such a nice day

Glynis- sorry your little one is sick. My guys just has a bad cold but his nose is such a faucet right now I feel like I can't take him anywhere.

Do most of you head down to DW for food & wine? We go every year in early Sept, but alway miss it by a few days. I would love to check it out one year. DH and I would love to go ourselves for a weekend sometime but we don't live near family and really don't have anyone to watch our son. Oh well, one day...

Ann -- I'm glad Luke found some cool bandaids and that your dad has the surgery scheduled.

Robin -- I remember when that crash happened. That must have been so scary for you!

NOLA gals -- I know you are just having a blast right now. I can't wait to hear about it.

Marilyn -- The restaurant Caili wanted to go to is not a dessert only type of place...at least not on a Friday night. Plus, all of their desserts have egg, so Liam couldn't have anything. However, maybe next time, I will just get a dessert for her to go.

Michelle -- Welcome! It would be great if you would share recipes. We are a chatty bunch, but just jump in. I'm sorry your little guy isn't feeling well, but I have to say, I am pretty impressed he is eating mashed cauliflower. My two will eat cauliflower if it is roasted to their precise way of liking it, but they would never dream of eating it mashed.

Nancy -- I'm glad to hear Marisa is doing so well. She must be really working hard at the PT, even though it is a struggle. I'm glad you had such nice day!

Maria -- That is exciting that your mom will be joining you tomorrow. I'm so sorry about your tooth. I hope you can find someone to see you right away.

Aimee -- I know how much the conferences and work mean to you, but you need to get better. If the doctor can schedule the surgery sooner rather than later, you should pick sooner. That is the mom in me talking. I hope you have a good retreat.

Lauren -- I agree with the others...stock up! ;) Seriously, I do hope you have a nice visit. It's good news that the review is done, right?

Glynis -- Oh, I am so sorry your little boy is sick! This stomach bug has really made the rounds hasn't it? I hope you can reschedule your birthday dinner.

I'm glad you all got a chuckle out of Caili's platinum tastes. She picked a much more reasonable family restaurant and had mac and cheese. Very sophisticated. For dessert, she had a hot fudge sundae, and the server put on three cherries. Caili was thrilled. The server probably was too because I left her a pretty good tip.

Becky, I think bacon in the chicken dish would be yummy I think the only reason I would hesitate ,would be because it would leave another dish to wash l love cooking , not so wild about the grocery shopping or the clean up. That's why I had 3 kids and a nice husband!
Michelle, welcome , I'm a newcomer too, but had been using the recipes I found on this thread for a long time .
WFD Had to work late tonite so my husband is picking up chicken parm sandwiches from a local pizzaria

Nancy - Pishtush....I think Ive found my new favorite word !! :rotfl:
Glad Marisa is doing good.
Looks like the work she has put in is showing signs...good girl.

Lauren - I hope yer mammy's visit is ok and if not...there's always tequila !!
Good luck with the house too.

Ellen - Just be you and the girl will love you..

Glynis - Happy birthday sweetie,have a gid yin !!

Ann - Im glad your dad has his date, sendin hugs ower the water to your boy...xx

Maria - I hope you get yer tooth fixed, you sound like your having so much fun and I would hate for a bloody toothache to put a dampener on things.
Has Greg heard about his job ?

Laura - I love yer girl went for mac'n'cheese.....sometimes its the simple things eh !!

Aimee - I have no great advice re surgery, just you do wants right for you and know us lassies will be here.

NOLA girls - im guessing your town is pretty insane this weekend and I couldnt think of a better bunch to be in the middle of it...

WHO DAT !!!

Michelle - welcome to the madness !!

I dont cook, eat breakfast cereal and PB&J'S most days for dinner but still these fine lassies welcomed me into there happy band, so please stick around.
You wont regret it.

Funny auld day here,a door fell and hit me on top of ma head at work.:headache:
I also cut and bruise my thigh bad while running to help an old wifey lift a sofa.

Seriously, she was about 90 and I thought she was going to do herself a damage.

But no,dafty here was the one with the head first crash and a store full of folks staring as first aiders ran from all directions....embarrassed much... so thats it,the next auld goat is on her own.

My day did get better.........flights are booked baby !!!!! :yay::yay:

We went for the tampa flight, thanks for your input lassies, helped us decide.:thumbsup2

We will get the hotel sorted tomorrow,i think its SSR but I change my mind ever hour !!

So...October 8th- 22nd....who's all comin ??

Well, Alan just took the older kids to the store to pick me up a cheesecake for my birthday. Timothy is asleep AGAIN! This makes 4 naps since I got home at 1:30 this afternoon. He only sleeps for about 45 minutes, and then wakes up. Poor little guy. I told Alan to pick up some Ibuprofen for him, so we can alternate with the Tylenol that we have. We've got to get this fever under control.

Alan and I are going to go out shoe shopping tomorrow morning, and have a nice lunch while we're out. Tomorrow night we are meeting with the neighbors. We usually have an ice cream night to celebrate back to school, but couldn't find a time to do it this fall, so since tomorrow's National Pie Day, we are having our celebration a little late, with lots of pie. Should be fun! Hopefully, Timothy will be over this sickness, otherwise Alan said he'd stay home and I could take the other kids.

Have a great night, everyone!

Wow! Vickie, what a day! Glad you're not hurt!!! Take care. If anything happened to you, we would be so bummed out!!!

Congrats on getting the flights booked! Sure wish I could make it, but I don't think it will happen.

Laura- My son is only 2.5 years old so I definitely have more influence over what he eats. Roasted cauliflower is one of his favorite foods but he'll take the mashed one as well. I've been working really hard to make him a good eater, I consider it a successful day if I only cook one dinner and we all enjoy it. I have to say my efforts are paying off, he definitely has a varied palate and eats all sorts of ethnic foods too. The other night he ate all of the goat cheese I had crumbled for our salads and we're up to 10 vegetables he's happy to eat. I can see some more pickiness creeping in though. A year ago he loved scallops and now he barely eats them. But he hates chicken nuggets and mac and cheese and most breaded and fried foods so I guess that sort of pickiness is a good thing.

Glynis- Oh my goodness! Your poor baby boy  You have had one bug after another hit your family, I sure hope that this is the end!

Vickie- Holy Smokes! What a day!

Laura- I would have loved to see those smiles with her three cherries! I trust Liam enjoyed the night too, he loves his ice cream as well!

Michelle-I have been able to go to the F&W fest one time and I loved it. Weare notable to go that time of year, Buddy cannot get away.
