SHe wasnt paying attention to how much she was eating until her tongue started to hurt.:rotfl2: I dont see her doing that again. All night she kept talking about her tongue

The key word here is "talking". The sore tongue did not stop her. She came in talking, chattered straight up until we got into the car to go to school....and then talked all the way there. She stopped when the door closed behind her :rotfl:

I called the doctor to see if I could go in today, and they have no appointments. I could go in as a walk-in, and be screened and then they will see if they can fit me in, or I could go to the ER. The receptionist recommended the screening at their office despite having people already waiting outside for an hour or more. I don't know what to do. It hurts so bad to cough, and it feels like there is junk in my lungs, I can feel it tickle when I breathe and move. :sad1: My whole body aches too...almost feels numb...I can't really describe it. :confused3

June 14 may be Father's Day...is this an issue?

I would try the screening first. If their office is that busy I bet the ER is worse. Please go today and let us know how you are. You have been running and running lately so you are run down. ANy virus can just take over when that happens.

Father's day is the next Sunday.

Good morning!

Bethany - GET TO A DOCTOR ANY WAY YOU CAN!!!

Ann - I think the reason a pregnant woman can't sleep toward the end is so that your body is used to being up. That way, you are used to getting up with the baby! Congrats on all the new clothes and formula!

Lauren - I'm just the teeniest bit jealous that your little guy is sleeping so well. Timothy is still up a couple of times. We tried the formula in the bottle, but it didn't work for us. I guess, when school gets out we'll just move him into his and Jacob's room and start letting him cry it out. I know he doesn't need to eat during the night as often as he does. I don't look forward to this, but we need to do it!

Aimee - the orange beef sounds so yummy! I'm going to give it a try, but probably not until after Disneyland. Right now, I'm trying to use up all the food we have in the house.

Kathy - I sure hope that recipe is a winner, because it sounds so yummy!!!

Dinner tonight will be a new one for us: chicken and kielbasa with curried rice. Not sure on veggie.

Glynis, I can't believe Timothy is already teething!! Wow, how time flies.
I think your theory about the sleep is right.

Kingcrab, YUM! Please post more pictures.

Aimee, congratulations on the weight loss!

Bethany, go to the doctor. You know you should go. Just bring a book or your ipod or something.

Here is my dinner from last night. Asparagus, fiddleheads, basil, and morel mushrooms with a poached egg and parmesean cheese:

I have a haircut and color after work, so dinner will be something quick. Right now I am thinking grilled sausage subs.

Bethany -- You really need to see the doctor. Are you running a fever too?

Sheryl -- Have fun at the graduation. Congratulations to Alexis.

We just recently found out that Pei Wei makes their LoMein with Oyster Sauce.

I don't get Chinese food with Liam anymore. They use so much shrimp. It's not worth taking the chance.

Welcome, Kingcrab!

Psst! I lost 3.2 pounds my first week! I had my first weigh in today :yay::yay:

Congratulations!!

Glynis -- I am sorry Timothy isn't sleeping better for you. Maybe he will do better once he moves into Jacob's room. Both of my kids slept better once they weren't in the room with me. I hope Katie feels better.

Ann -- What a generous family you have! That is great. You must love seeing all the little girl clothes.

Kathy -- I've liked Adam this season too. I thought he was a little flat last night though. Becky and I were wondering if he decided he doesn't really want to win.

Tonight Liam has a baseball game after skating (I think he will be pitching so wish him luck!) so we will have to eat at the field. I am planning to make sandwiches. Last night, I had a salad with greens, bacon, parmesan cheese and a poached egg. It was tasty.

June 14 = good. :thumbsup2

I am too sick to catch up. I will catch up later. I am not going to work tomorrow and will go see a doctor be it in office or ER.

I'd go for the doctors office - sounds like a virus to me, or the flu.

I'm trying a new recipe tonight - Smoked Gouda & Spinach stuffed pork chops. If it's good I'll post. We'll have rice pilaf and corn also.

Have a great day everyone!

I make a smoked gouda and spinach stuffed chicken - mixed with cream cheese and nutmeg; is that the same one?

I have a funny story. Yesterday I was cutting up a pineapple and Kady wanted some. She took a giant bowl and brought it into the living room to eat while we practiced her spelling words. SHe wasnt paying attention to how much she was eating until her tongue started to hurt.:rotfl2: I dont see her doing that again. All night she kept talking about her tongue

Today is Wednesday, typical marathon day. I am going to attempt to find something healthy wherever we take the kids tonight. :scared:

Good afternoon!

Let's see, Sunday we had Emeril's Alphabet Soup and ham, mozzarella and tomato paninis.
Monday I made Pad Thai.
Yesterday was Chicken Madeira, egg noodles, and roasted asparagus.
Tonight I'm making Spaghetti and meatballs, bread with dipping oil, and marinated cucumbers.

I will have to come back later to try and catch up.

Glynis -- I am sorry Timothy isn't sleeping better for you. Maybe he will do better once he moves into Jacob's room. Both of my kids slept better once they weren't in the room with me. I hope Katie feels better.

I'm wondering the same thing. I have wanted to move him into his own room for about 2 months, now. He does nap in his crib, and naps well. I've just been leery about disturbing Jacob's sleep with him in school. During the summer, I can have him sleep in the basement, or even outside, while Timothy settles in and gets used to not being picked up every time he cries.

Katie is completely better. She was thrilled to go to school today! One day of being sick is really all she can handle! She gets bored way too easily!

Does anyone have any plans for Memorial day? We are actually celebrating on Saturday. Alan has to work on Monday. We are taking the kids to decorate the graves of Alan's father, and our niece, Carissa, who died last year. Then, we'll travel about 45 minutes to a tiny little mining town, Eureka, Utah, to take care of some graves there. It's such a tiny cemetery! Alan's ancestors were some of the first settlers there, so it's kind of fun for the kids to go there and hear all the stories.

After that, we are touring a local dairy. I know that sounds really weird, but it's a huge dairy, and it's supposed to be really hands-on. Should be fun.

Our 19th anniversary is on Tuesday, so I'm trying to angle for dinner out on Saturday night to celebrate. Not sure how that will go over. Alan is already dreading how much eating out we will be doing in Disneyland. We'll see. If not, we'll do a cookout at home. Either way, it's all good!

Hi everyone! I read and read, and read, and read last night and by the time I finished, it was time to chase everyone into bed and collapse there myself. I don't have any quotes so I'm going from memory (which isn't very good lately)

Bethany - I hope by the time you read this you are doing so from the DOCTOR'S OFFICE!!!!!! If not, get yourself there. (Stern mother voice)

Glynis - Your weekend sounds fun. And busy. But mostly fun.

Sheryl - I hope things are going better for Bob with work and with the aide. I agree that it is highly unprofessional for the aide not to call or show up. I have been fortunate in that regard but if I were you, I wouldn't wait so long to call the agency next time. Maybe if the aide gets the idea that she is being actively supervised she may be more attentive. Just a thought.

Becky - Sorry I missed your birthday. I hope it was a good one. And thanks for the chuckle with your mismatched shoes. I haven't done that, but I have gotten to work and realized I only shaved one leg.

Lindsay - Those cream biscuits sound wonderful. If I can ever get the energy, I'm going to give them a try.

Janice - My grandmother used cracklins too. Yummmmm.

Kingcrab - Welcome

Ellen - I can't keep up either, so don't feel bad. I did see where you will be in WDW around F&W. Looking forward to getting together.

Vickie - I see you've found your inner street. ;) Looking forward to meeting you at F&W too.

Kat - Glad to see Kyle is playing again. And especially to see he is being able to do so with the love of the game back in his heart.

Lauren - Congrats on T sleeping through the night! Nothing like having more than 4 hours of continuous sleep.

Ann - I hope you are doing fine. I know you are getting close.

Maria - I keep watching your ticker and like some of the others, I'm growing more and more envious of your upcoming cruise. I would love :lovestruc that trip.

Laura - Congrats to Greg! I know he's thrilled to have graduated. Is the airborne school happening?

Nancy - I PM'd Risa but I thought I'd tell you too - Kady is just beautiful. Those pictures were absolutely precious. Although I knew from one look at the Christmas card why that child had no trouble wrapping Buddy around her little finger.

If I've forgotten someone, please forgive me.

Tonight's dinner is going to be hamburger steaks in onion gravy with mashed potatoes and green beans.

I know some of you have asked for a trip report but honestly it may be the weekend before I'm able to get to it. Although there isn't a whole lot to report. We only ate at four Disney restaurants, two off property restaurants, and the rest of the time I cooked or we ate sandwiches.

Yo Dudes sup....?

Well the Boy had a blast and I have to say so did I.

There are some amazingly talented people out there.

I have pics and i will post some later if youse like.

Got to run, I have my Pre OP appointment today.....

KEEP IT REAL HOMIES !! :cool2:

Ok,I promise I'll stop now !!

:rotfl:

I could go in as a walk-in, and be screened and then they will see if they can fit me in, or I could go to the ER.

If you haven't gone yet, go to the Dr's office, it will probably take you less time.

Asparagus, fiddleheads, basil, and morel mushrooms with a poached egg and parmesean cheese

What do fiddleheads taste like?

Does anyone have any plans for Memorial day?

Going to Ocean City, MD for the weekend. We always go to Phillips Crab House for their buffet, to the Boardwalk for Dough Roller pizza, fries at Thrashers, Dumsers for milkshakes and ice cream, play games at the Boardwalk arcade, play miniature golf and maybe go to Assateague Island to see the ponies.

Dinner tonight will be the turkey burger I was supposed to have last night. I got home late and ended up just making scrambled eggs and Canadian bacon instead.

Sorry, not even going to attempt to catch up with all of you. I did skim back and saw Kady looking very pretty (that is so cool you got two uses out of the dress), I loved the flowers in her hair. Also, congratulations to Greg on his graduation. Nice work on the weight loss Aimee, I think it's easier to keep going when you know it's working.

Merle- That sounds like a perfect day! Two of the ponies live a couple towns up from us and I would like to see them (I'm a sucker for any animal) but I'm not sure the point of seeing them if they aren't on the island.

Glynis- I will be working Memorial day, but so far my plans are to watch the Phineas and Ferb marathon when I get home. If it's nice out we'll probably roast marshmallows. My parents usually take the kiddo to the parade, but that's about it.

Good luck Liam!

Bethany- I hope your feeling better soon.

Ann- Have fun going through all the clothes, what a fun suprise.

Dinner tonight is roast chicken, ranch potatoes (if the potatoes are still good, I forget when I bought them) and some kind of veggie.

I make a smoked gouda and spinach stuffed chicken - mixed with cream cheese and nutmeg; is that the same one?

Nope this one uses horseradish mustard & panko crumbs.:goodvibes

Just a brief word about these would satisfy my need to read any and all things Disney......:flower3:

Does anyone have any plans for Memorial day?

We're going to grill on Sunday, not a clue yet what we'll be grilling. Anyone got a Memorial grilling menu planned yet?

What a great day you have planned!

Ok, but you are going to be so very disappointed. The four restaurants were Crystal Palace and Ohana (both breakfast) and Artist Pointe and the patisserie in France.

The two character breakfasts were chosen for obvious reasons. We normally do Chef Mickey's but the last time we were there it was so loud that Hailey didn't enjoy it. We liked Ohana but we were part of the first breakfast seating and Hailey was ready to leave by the time they cranked up the volume and the festivities.

The breakfast at Ohana was really good. All the food was fresh and I really liked the cinnamon bread and the sausages. I don't normally eat the link sausage at the other breakfast places because I'm more of a bacon girl myself, but I really liked the sausage here. The flavor was just more interesting than I was expecting.

The server was adequate although she didn't realize as I sat at the time alone for over 10 minutes that we were perhaps ready for the check. And I usually pack snacks for Hailey since she won't eat any of the breakfast foods and when I asked for a spoon (none on the table) she kind of sighed at me and said "I normally bring those at the coffee service. Can you wait?" Anyway, the characters more than made up for it. Stitch was really sweet to Hailey and Pluto was a scream. I don't know if Ohana is going to be in the regular rotation or not, but we liked it ok.

Crystal Palace was great this time. We got the first seating and the food was fresh and hot. And honestly, Kenny insists on this breakfast because it is the only place he can get the breakfast lasagna. He loves this stuff! Hailey loves Tigger and Pooh, but they could drop the characters and Kenny would still be in for the breakfast lasagna. ;) Our server was great and the characters were attentive and Hailey has a blast.

Ooops, I gotta run. I'll try to finish tonight.

Ok, but you are going to be so very disappointed. The four restaurants were Crystal Palace and Ohana (both breakfast) and Artist Pointe and the patisserie in France.

I'm never disappointed when reading about my most favorite place on earth! The service at Ohana has always been their downfall with us, it's a shame. Looking forward to reading the rest, but please don't hurry, I'm not going anywhere.:goodvibes

Gretchen- I HATE Chef Mickey's, it is so loud I don't know how anyone can enjoy it. The cost if so high for the worst food I've had at Disney. Crystal Palace however is one of our favorites. We always go for a late luch, then you get to taste the dinner foods also. I love their spoon bread, I could eat just that. I hoping next time we go we'll be done with characters (they take up to much time) but I think we'll still go to Crystal Palace.

I did go to the doctor. I had fallen asleep and didn't wake up until around 11 so it would have been nearly impossible to get walk-in at the office, so I went to the ER. They have like a dual ER - trauma and "fast-track" (like a clinic...but it's not that fast). From the time I got there to when I left it was about 4.5 hours; which is probably less than the clinic would have been - one time I went at 8am walk-in to the clinic and they left for lunch and I wasn't seen until the afternoon.

I do have a slight fever; just over 100. I'm usually around 96 so this is pretty high for me. It's not swine flu (I didn't think it was) but it may be regular flu (but they didn't test for it because it's so unreliable it's pointless. :confused3) They did do a chest x-ray to rule out pneumonia; it's likely bronchitis. They did give me antibiotics and sudafed...he said I could take sudafed. :thumbsup2

And he doesn't want me going back to work until Friday. I got a doctor's note for that. :thumbsup2 Another thing is they said it may be environmental, but until there is a change in environment they cannot say for sure.

Bethany, I'm so glad you went and got some meds. Now rest PLEASE or I'll be fussin.
