Day 1 - We left our house about 3 am for our 6:15 flight out of Boston. DS was a trooper and had a really good flight. We arrived and picked up our rental car around 10 am. Then off we went to WDW. We arrived at FW and met the Golf Cart rental company we got of the DIS. What a deal, it was half the price of those WDW rents. Our cabin was not ready so we parked our car and took our golf cart over to the marina and jumped on a boat to the Magic Kingdom for a bite to eat. The park was insanely busy and it was noon so we just got pretzels and drinks. We decided just to walk around then head back to FW. We ran to Winn Dixie and picked up some groceries. We got to our cabin around 3:15pm. We really liked the layout of the cabins it worked out great for us. DS could roam and play and we did not have to worry about adjoining neighbors being bothered by the noise. We then headed to Crockett's Tavern so DH could have a drink before HDDR and sat on their porched while DS played with some blocks. HDDR was a great time. The cast put on a wonderful show, my little guy really enjoyed it. The food was good. DH raved about the chicken, beer, and strawberry shortcake.
After the show we jumped in our golf cart and took the long route to the cabin to check things out.
Day 2 - We did not eat any breakfast out anywhere all week. DH is not a morning eater. I picked up some OJ and muffins for the cabin, or we took a ride to Dunkin Donuts off property a couple of days. Our first day we did get alot of rain so we did not rush and just headed to Epcot in the afternoon. Lunch was just some snacks and beverages on the run. We took DS on Figment, Nemo, and Spaceship Earth then headed over to the World Showcase. Before dinner we went to watch Off-Kilter. This was one of the highlights of the trip. I wish we had our video camera at the time, DS was just priceless dancing and working the crowd. He ended up chatting it up with 4 cute teenage blondes. After the show DH got comments from several folks about the cute display he put on.

. Our ADR was at LeCellier.
It was great as usual. DH had the mushroom risotto filet and I had prime rib.
Dessert was chocolate cake for DH and I had maple creme brulee

. Oh how I love that stuff.
Day 3- We attempted the Magic Kingdom once again, but the park was still a nightmare. We got lunch at Cosmic Ray's which I hated the whole ordering system but the food was okay. DH got a burger and chips, DS got nuggets and chips, and I got the veggie wrap with grapes. The chips were quite good and homemade. We did a couple of rides for DS and browsed some shops for me, then we headed back to the cabin to get ready to go off property for dinner. After reading the restaurant thread we decided to give the Orlando Ale House a try. The word ALE was a definite attraction for DH. My guy loves some beer. We were pleasantly surprised here. We started with some of their famous chicken zingers which were topped with cheddar cheese, scallions, and sour cream...Yummy! DH got a huge burger and fries, DS had chicken fingers and fries (yet again), and I had shrimp and crab quesidillas (spelling?). Throw in a couple of beers and my soft drink $40 total bill. We thought this was a bargain and wonderful food and a fabulous waitress. We have decide to eat here once a trip from now on.
Day 4- Was laundry day so we packed up everything on the golf cart and headed to the quite pool. My DH did the laundry right there while I took DS into the pool. In the afternoon we headed to DTD and grabbed a bite at Earl of Sandwich. Sandwiches were great as usual. I got the Caprese, DH had a tuna melt. After lunch we wanted to do some resort hopping. Our ADR was at Rose & Crown so we headed off to Epcot. We both had Fish & Chips and DH got a black and tan! This is a must do for us, we enjoy it everytime. We were seated on the patio so DS was entertained by the birds nearby. After dinner we did a stroll in the World Showcase and headed back to the campground for our nightly golf cart drive.
Day 5- We went to Hollywood Studios. We ate lunch at the Backlot Express, yuck!! DH got a chicken caesar wrap, and I got pulled pork. after lunch we took DS to the Disney Playhouse which he just loves. He danced and sang to his little hearts content. We took in a couple more shows, then sat at the lagoon with a drink for DH, and an ice cream for DS and myself. DS feed the ducks some pringles and called it a day. Once again we had an awful rainshower right at dinnertime so we decided to cancel our ADR and Crystal Palace and head to T-Rex in DTD. Surprisingly, other than the noise level it was really good. We shared a flatbread topped with chicken, sauteed onions, and a balsamic reduction. I had baked onion soup for my entree, DH got a huge swiss & mushroom burger and DS got Dino bites and fries. I saw the head imagineer in T-Rex that designed Everest...you know the guy with the big earring on Samantha Brown's travel special. After dinner we did some more resort hopping and took in Port Orleans FQ...which we fell in love with.
Day 6- After Dunkin Donuts, we headed back to the Magic Kingdom. We decided just to take it easy and take in whatever we could for DS. We lunch at Pecos Bill's. DH got another burger, DS had fries, and I had a chicken salad. NOTE TO SELF- avoid grilled chicken in the future at WDW, it was loaded with fat.

Next, we got great seats in Frontierland and watched the parade. We were able to take in a good number of rides for DS. We headed back to the campground and DH took DS to the playground while I layed down for a bit. Because the heat was getting to me a bit this trip, DH suggested we skip AK and our ADR at Yak & Yeti. We decide to get a pizza off property at Pizzeria Uno. When we were walking in we noticed a guy with a TV camera outside...he was there filming Ex-Gov. Blagovich of Chicago leaving with his family. Dinner was again a nice surprise. The restaurant was extremely clean and the staff was wonderful. We stuffed ourselves with a sausage, mushroom and pepperoni chicago style pizza. DS once again ate fries and chicken. After our late dinner we headed back and just took a ride in the golf cart to the resort gift shop.
Day 7 - Our last and final day was spent at our favorite park, Epcot. We got lunch at Tangerine Cafe. I had a lamb shwarma with lentil and olive salads on the side, DH got a lamb Shwarma with fries and a budlight. DS picked off of our plates. What great, great food as always. After taking in some more attractions we headed over to the Poly for a pre-dinner cocktail and stroll.
Dinner was at Kona, my personal favorite. DS consumed a ton of their wonderful Hawaiian bread, and that macadamia butter is heaven. We started with a tempura shrimp roll as an app...so darn good. I had duck potstickers for my entree, DH got the scallop and shrimp, and DS had chicken & fries.
We passed on dessert and headed back to the room to pack.
Overall we had a wonderful time but will not visit again this time of year due to the crowds. DS did okay sleeping but because he hates to miss anything, he refused to nap either in the room or in his stroller. Nights worked out well, DS slept in the bunkbed for the most part and if he woke up...he joined us in our bed. We loved FW cabins and would recommend it to anyone with a young family. Sorry if I rambled on and please forgive my awful spelling which has gotten worse with pregnancy.
I missed you all and some of you should have had your ears ringing while we were away because you were mentioned often.
