It's all over!! I can't believe how fast the last two years of planning have flown by! Scott's little sister got married on Saturday and is currently on a flight to Vegas with her new hubby. Now it's time for me to get scrapping as me and Scott are giving them a wedding book for Christmas (3 months to do an entire book and it's likely to be a month before I see the official pics - aargh!) It's a big suprise which is making it harder. At least I have our pictures to begin with. So far I've been scanning the bits and pieces we ended up with here (Scott's "usher" cufflinks, the special pocketwatch the guys got, the "just married" love heart sweets) and I've got all the lyrics to their songs from the day (first dance was Wild Horses by The Sundays, originally Rolling Stones.) I've spotted a new gadget that's a thin acid free plastic rectangle that records 30 seconds of sound so i'm thinking of recording the chorus of their song onto it.

So much to think about!

WOW! You have a lot to accomplish between now & Christmas, but you can do it!! COngratulations on the first layout! Come join our September Challenge on this bb ...

Not a problem--- you can do it. I too did a wedding album with the wedding at the end of August. I was able to get it done with no problem, and had the second album of the same wedding done by march. You can do it. and they will LOVE  it.

I think you'll find it's easier to do a book about finite event such as the wedding for which there is somewhat of a structure - than an album about your vacation say - where you have so many decisions to make about order and arrangement. With the 'event' album - you can use a set color scheme throughout and arrange the pages chronologically without even thinking about it. . . they meet, fall in love, get engaged, have a shower or two, rehearsal, wedding, reception, depart on the honeymoon. the end.

Actually it'll be even easier than that. I'm literally scrapping one day, the wedding itself. I'm not covering them meeting and falling in love as I didn't know them then and there's no pics of them getting engaged. There were no showers or rehearsals and no one took cameras on the hen/stag nights (probably a good thing!) and there weren't any cameras the next day when they left to pack for their honeymoon. The one thing I might do is find a nice pic of them on honeymoon if I get to see them soon and use that to finish off the album.

My one problem is that some of the pics I want to use were the official ones so I don't have copies yet. I just hope they come through soon so I can get to work on those.
