The Walt Disney World Annual Passes Open for Sale

How difficult is it to upgrade on site? I almost rather go to guest relations than waiting 3-5 hours on the phone. 😝

I have been on hold for a little over 6 hours to upgrade my single-use tickets to Incredi-pass. Doing it now with the CM, albeit, slowly. If you have your original ticket confirmation numbers, it seems like that might speed it up. Like others, she indicated I would lose my park reservations, which is part of why I opted to wait on hold for so long today, rather than wait for our dates to get closer. I'd rather grab them again right away as we are returning in October and then again over Thanksgiving, and I don't want to lose out on ressies.

Disney does this to themselves. Park reservations shouldn’t be tied to the tickets themselves as long as you have a valid ticket. This is crazy.

“You went from a one day pass to an incredi-pass? Great, thanks for the extra cash but you cannot come in as we erased your park reservation.” 🙄
I hate park pass reservations more than I hate Genie+.

There is not a way to upgrade from existing ticket to an AP online. You have to call. Otherwise none of us would have sat on hold for so long. Good luck!

Hi, I have park reservation for MK on the 1st. If I understand from all the post it is recommended that I should wait to upgrade until the last day of my trip. I am a DVC member so I don't think there are an AP benefits that I would miss out on. Am I making the right conclusions? Thanks!

Thought I would give it a day or two before I tried. Called today and waited 23 minutes then told I needed to be transferred to another line to upgrade tickets to AP and placed on a call back for 88 minutes.

After two dropped phone calls yesterday, I sat on hold for 6 hours the 3rd time before finally getting to speak to someone in ticketing (thank goodness for AirPods all day). I never did get a call back as promised on Wednesday.

FWIW, I was told NOT to cancel my park pass reservations. As I was only updating my ticket to an AP and my park pass reservations were for me & 5 others, I was told that they would not automatically cancel on their own since they are not linked directly to my ticket. So, seeing how that plays out. So far, so good.

Dang that sucks!

I called the number chat told me this morning and waited 25 minutes only to be told I needed to call a different number. Then on hold for 90 minutes. Talked to a friendly cast member who took some info and told me I needed to be transferred to ticketing to pay balance and get confirmation code, now on hold for 2+ hours. Why does it have to be SO confusing!?! I am terrified the call will just drop.

Lot of horror stories on reservation dropped... will try to upgrade at the end of my trip to avoid any risk :-)

It's crazy how all of us were told different things by CM's! I was told to cancel mine and rebook. Like you, my reservations are tied to my family but i canceled just mine and made my new ones under my AP (with hotel stay.) I wasn't sure what to do, but in the end I got nervous that if I didn't cancel and rebook, something down the line would "break" and I would rather just take care of all this now before our trip Oct 7. All of the dates were green so I wasn't worried about not getting new ones... but it sure was stressful!

This is my first AP... I was so excited to get one but this process took a little of the fun out of it. :eeyore:

Random question.....does the wait hold language over two hours mean somewhere between 2 and 3 hours or anything passed 2 hours? I am at an 1.5 hours after previous holds of 25 and 88 minutes and when this one started it said over 2 hours. I have a meeting in an hour and CROSSING FINGERS someone picks up by then. I was transferred to pay the balance after upgrading tickets to an annual pass. I didn't think I would have another long wait, but I guess I was wrong. I am afraid to go because then am I in limbo or back to square 1?

If I had to guess, I would say anything over 2 hours. I was told 28 minutes yesterday and waited for over 5 hours. I'm not sure they actually know.

called the passholder line this morning to upgrade park hoppers to an AP with a 15 minute wait. cast member took my info to transfer me and told me it would be a 100 minute wait so i took the option for them to call me back. called me back around an hour and a half later and got a cast member who applied the price of my park hoppers and upgraded my tickets. took maybe 20 minutes all together. my regular park hoppers reservations were still showing up but i canceled everything and just rebooked. pretty painless process!
