The Walking Dead on AMC

My guess is an ebola virus or something akin to that. I think a whole lotta people gonna die from it too. And I'm worried about Daryl "hand licker" who shook Patrick's hand.

I suspect this is a catalyst for further dividing the group and a springboard to perhaps reach a point where they have to leave the prison.

I think it's something like ebola hemorrhagic fever. It crosses species and that whole vomiting, weird bleeding thing is involved. Maybe they die from that and the newer victims still display the last symptoms as walkers.

Another angle to this... What if walkers can spread the disease, whatever it is, even after they've turned? I still feel it is a very human/normal (given the sanitation and nutrition issues they're facing) disease rather than anything novel like the zombie epidemic, but if the walkers who died of the virus were a means of transmission even after death that would explain the significance of the red-eyed walker as well as how the virus was introduced to the prison group.

Did anyone else catch Mythbusters last night? They did a zombie episode with Michael Rooker (Merle) as their special guest. My kids love the show anyway, but zombie myths made for an especially fun episode.

:offtopic: I like that show, but I'm kind of over it now. I liked the testing of actual, plausible myths and they've moved in to chicanery that just loses me.

You talking about the disease that turns people to zombies? If so, then everyone is already infected. Rick found that out in season one, and told the group in season two. If you die, even from old age, you come back as a zombie.

I could be wrong, but I think the poster was referring to the new disease that killed Phineas.

I just subscribed to Netflix so I can FINALLY start watching this show. In three days I've made it up to season 2 episode 6. I've been wanting to watch this show for a while now. I'm hoping to marathon thru the remaining seasons tonight and tomorrow. :thumbsup2

So I'm not reading this thread yet, lalalalala. I can't hear you. lalalalala.

Just poking my head in here...I don't watch it. I tried but when I turned it on, a rusty ax was crunching into someone's forehead, and well, I like a good story as much as anyone, but, well....um....I haven't looked back.

Haven't really had to cause it's been filmed for so long right around the corner!
:cool2:

I would be sitting in the coffee shop and a motorcycle would screech to a halt while Mr. Cool comes strolling in. Everybody has a heart attack and I'm the only one thinking, "and who exactly is this guy?" Daryl, I think is his name. It was really cool to eat dinner in a restaurant while the filming was going on. Zombies everywhere! Glad yall have enjoyed the show! :)

They ran out of plausible myths seasons ago, but I think they're still fun to watch at times. I like the movie/television episodes still, where they test things that were done in fiction... Sure, we all know most of those things aren't plausible but it is fun watching them try.

No, I'm talking about whatever killed Phineas and the pig (and possibly the red-eye walker). If walkers can transmit communicable disease even after death, the survivors would be facing a far more serious threat than the walkers themselves... An infected walker at the fence could mean an outbreak in the prison, which in turn means the sudden and unexpected presence of walkers inside if/when people succumb to illness.

Ready? I am!!

I watch a lot of tv, and this is one of the few shows that I don't want to end each week. I get to watch it and Talking Dead before heading to my night shift, then tease a coworker who often won't get to watch the episode until the next day.

It was interesting on Talking Dead that they brought up a lot of the questions/theories that had been talked about here in the last week. I wish they would bring some of the actors on soon. It seems they are mostly doing fans of the show as guests.

I am shocked to come on here and see nothing about last night's episode. Who does everyone think is the killer?

I didn't quite get the whole thing with Carol not wanting Rick to know that she was teaching the kids to defend themselves, and not wanting Carl to tell. Because the parents would find out? I would think the parents already realize what kind of world they live in, and would understand. If not, too bad.

Unless, part of me thinks this whole thing was being played up because Lizzie and Myca . . . were they the ones feeding the walkers at the fence? Are they the ones who killed Karen and David? It seems unbelievable, but the reason I am thinking that is because when they were at the fence and Carol said, "You're weak", Myca said, "No, she's just messed up"... so I could see them feeding "Nick" and the others at the fence, not thinking of them as the enemy. But then after being called weak, I could see Lizzie thinking that "These infected people killed my dad" and then thinking, "Hey Carol, I can use a knife just like you showed me" making Carol feel guilty for doing such a thing.

The only other person I thought could be the killer would be Bob the alkie, but he really wasn't very visible in this show. Though he does seem a little shady.

Oh, also... Caleb, the doctor.

David and Karen were infected first; they were the ones, at the beginning of the first episode, killing walkers at the fence. So now that most of the "main" characters were at the fence, are they all going to get infected too?

And the scene with Michonne killed me. I am sure there is a flashback on the way.

That one girl is very strange, something is going to happen with her, not sure what it is. It made me cry though, when they were with their dad. So sad. I don't think I would have wanted to stand next to her at the fence while she was holding a knife though, she makes me nervous.

Carol didn't want Rick to know, because of the way he has been, putting away his gun, and Carls gun, not wanting kids to have to do that. Obviously he has changed those thoughts as of last night, but that is why. And yes, she thinks the parents might stop her, and she thinks her priority right now is helping the kids. I have to say Carol looks really cool this season LOL, her oufit makes her look tough.

I have no idea who is feeding walkers or killing people. Do we even know for sure that Karen was sick? We saw all the blood, but whoever, could have killed them in their cells, fearing they were sick, and then dragged them out to burn them.

My dd doesn't trust Bob either.

Michonne, oh my, that was so heartbreaking. And finally some insight! I am betting her pets might have something to do with that whole thing? She said they weren't human when they were alive.

The thing with the pigs was really awful, I know they are afraid the pigs are carriers of whatever, but geez, couldn't they have killed them first? Walkers eat dead animals too. That was sad. Or at least, could you not have shown them cutting each of them?

We recorded the Talking Dead, so we can watch it tonight, it gets kinda late when we get up at 5:30. I too was complaining last night though, that the show is only an hour. I wish it were 2 hours LOL!!

And one last comment, I wouldn't care how safe I felt in there, I would be sleeping with my cell door shut!! That freaked me out when Patrick just wandered in to all those open doors and sleeping people!

Interesting theory. You think those two girls would be strong enough to kill those two and then drag out their bodies? I'm thinking it's Bob. Not really sure who else it would be.
I felt really bad for Michonne. I think she's got a pretty sad past and that will probably be brought to light in a future episode.

I think they were stabbed in the head first and dragged out-- there was so much blood on the pillow and the floor. And Lizzie had a knife (just sayin').

I keep thinking Bob, since they found him a week earlier, is some sort of spy for the Governor.

I also got the feeling that her two "pets" may have been abusive men in her life, a boyfriend and brother, which is why Michonne refers to them as "not human". And that one of them might have killed her child. I'm sure the flashback will explain it all.

Decent episode.

I think Glenn or Maggie will die this season. Relationships don't end well in "The Walking Dead" world, and Glenn taking the picture of Maggie just set off red flags in my head.

I'd like to think Lizzie (the older girl who lost her father) is the one feeding the walkers at the gate, but when they showed the scene it seemed the person doing the feeding is as tall as an average adult, due to the height the flashlight was being held and where the rat was dangling from.

I think the person(s) responsible for the death of Karen and the other possibly-sick-with-the-flu person is someone we haven't met before. There are so many people in the prison now, it's tough to get a grasp on who is who.

Some fans think Lizzie killed them, using the knife Carol gave her and wanting to eradicate the sickness that led to her father being killed. While I can see that happening, and though we know Lizzie is "messed up," I just don't see a young girl overpowering two adults, killing them and dragging their bodies out to be set ablaze.

However, if Lizzie is the killer, I could see it playing out like the incident between Billy and Ben in the comic book series. Both of them were brothers and, when their parents died, Dale and Andrea began taking care of them. However... (spoilers below, highlight to read)

Ben is a little sociopath and ends up murdering Billy, with a knife. When it's found out, Ben is locked away from everyone else while the adults decide what to do with him. Carl sneaks in to where Ben is and kills Ben. Here's a link to a picture of Ben at his brother's murder scene: http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20110218182743/walkingdead/images/a/ac/Billys_death.jpg (that link isn't too spoilerish if you haven't read the white text)

So, I think there's a killer amidst the survivors of Woodbury. The show's writers might be using a couple of characters from the comics to push this story forward, namely Thomas Richards and/or Chris.

But there's also the theory that Karen is the Governor's mole, and the Governor somehow still has Karen's son, Noah. We never see him die, or escape Woodbury, so I suppose it's possible. The Gov somehow reaches out to Karen and uses her son to force her to feed the walkers at the fence, and kill whomever she can on the inside. Karen is the only character seen with a flashlight this past episode... But it could be a red herring.

I also think it was an adult feeding the walker, Lizzie isn't tall enough to have dangled the rat like that.

If Karen was a mole, she wouldn't be a very good mole anymore ;). If that is a theory, then who do the think just killed her?
