Just a reminder for Walking Dead fans that we have 2 episodes left for this "half" of the season. The plan is to go on Winter hiatus and then return in February for the 2nd half of Season 2.
Things are heating up and, if the comics are to be followed, they are approaching a perfect part to break this season in half.
Nooooooooo!!!! TWD is pretty good stuff. I dread having to bid adieu for a few months.
I was saying the same thing!!! she seems to have been over poor Rick very quickly, and got with Shane.
when that all comes out, I can't imagine what will happen.
she is really annoying me too. Rick is such a good guy, how she could just forget about him when she thought he was dead
Glad it's not just me. I am just not impressed with Lori.
Lori is simply hedging her bets. She wants/needs a man around to protect her, so as soon as she thought Rick was dead, she hooked up with Shane. Did you notice she recently asked Shane not to leave? She wants to keep Shane around in case Rick gets killed, she will still have a man.
...and somehow this doesn't help me like here any more.
Just a couple of things:
We call the kind ol' Southern Doctor in the farmhouse "Lotso". From the moment I saw his character he reminded me of Lotso Bear in TS3... 'Welcome ta Sunnisaad!". Nice and slow and syrupy sweet on the outside, but evil within.
I hate Lori, too, but I despise that idiot Andrea. You shot Darrel, you moron! I wish Maggie and Glenn would send HER a note that says, "Hey, Andrea! Party in the barn! Meet us in the loft, but keep your eyes closed cuz we have a SURPRISE for you!". Shove.
For Darrel to pull his last arrow out of his own torso and use it to kill the zombie gnawing on his feet? Totally badass. I love this show.
Herschel = Lotso.

Hadn't thought of it that way.
Yep. Daryl is the MAN! The only way for him to be more badass would be if here were portrayed by Samuel L Jackson.
I have not read the graphic novels, so have no comment on how true the show stays to the source material. I just know I like the character of Daryl, so right there is one good reason I'm glad they showrunners took artistic license. Sorta like with Lafayette in True Blood.
When Shane shot Otis, Shane was dead to me. I'm just counting the days now until the soulless cretin becomes a walker appetizer. I don't see how his character could be redeemed. His callous attitude about Sophia shows how this is true.
ALTHOUGH, like many, I agree that the Sophia arc needs to be played out. She's alive; she's dead; she's a walker... whatever, just get on with it.
The dude that plays Herschel is impressive. The darkness behind his character has always been juuuust close enough to the surface to feel. He has good restraint, and has not turned Herschel into a scenery-chewing sideshow. That is the only thing that has made it tolerable to center the action on the farm for so long now.
I will continue to resist the temptation to read the graphic novels. I like floating along with the show's narrative, free of a map.
