The Walking Dead on AMC

Lori really wasted some very valuable medication in this episode. I hate to admit it, but all I could think of was rinse, dry, and save them for later. Gross I know, but now is not the time to be picky or wasteful. Andrea better be careful or she will be making that decision too. That Andrea is a woman who knows what she wants and isn't shy about pursuing it.

I guess the folks in that neighborhood were lazy. As zombies they did not move very fast compared to the school, woods, and Atlanta zombies.

Has anyone watched the webisodes? Interesting glimpse into the initial chaos of the outbreak.

:thumbsup2 I also can not figure out why she took all of them. I would think one would have done the job but then again it wasn't the morning after that she took the pill it was quite a bit further along so would they even work?

With how hot Andrea got when she threw the pills at her I wonder how ticked she is going to be to find out there are none left for her?

That's good....I never heard her say that. Was that before or after her bold move on Shane in the car? That made my husband and I laugh out loud.

It was before they got in the car to go back from the neighborhood.

I want to know why they are feeding chickens to the zombies in the barn. I thought zombies didn't have to eat they are just driven to eat things that are still alive. Does that mean they will eventually die off if not fed or does it mean the people on the farm are idiots for wasting food on them?

I'm guessing that they either don't know that the walkers don't need food OR they are worried that, since these people are friends and family, they might be hungry.

Do walkers sleep? :tiptoe:

I said the same thing to my husband. Why are they feeding the walkers chicken? Didn't one of the characters say something about "They didn't come back from the dead & raid our pantry's and frigs"? when they were trying to get the walker out of the wall & tried to bait him with some food (I don't remember exactly what it was)..

I can't recall the exact conversation but it was along the lines of the walker not being interested in the previously canned ham because it wasn't wiggling or moving. That's why they ended up sending Glenn down the well.

Sort of the same reason why Shane shot Otis in the leg instead of delivering a head shot. He needed the walkers to be interested in wiggly bait.

Still not sure why they feed them chickens. I don't think they have a digestive system. :confused3

I thought the same thing about the number of pills she took. I was under the impression you needed to take them at least within a few days of doing the deed. Like less than 5, but the sooner the better, then I think possibly a second dose would be needed. On a side note, the package label probably was wrong. Sort of like expecting Viagra packages to say Little Blue Pill. ;) Anyway, Lori needs a medication a little stronger than the morning after pill if she wants to induce miscarriage.

It is possible that walkers sleep, or at least rest. We have seen many sitting, with eyes closed, in cars, etc. They "wake up" when they hear a noise or smell a human walk by.

Do walkers swallow what they bite off? If so, do they go to the bathroom? Maybe they will all die of constipation. With all that decay, wouldn't the air around the barn be vile?

I thought someone posted further back that *they* thought the chickens were being pumped with certain antibiotics and then "fed" to the walkers so that they might find a cure.

That is a very interesting idea and sounds plausible.

That was the farmer's daughter that is having relations with Glenn that threw the pills at Lori not Andrea. But she may end up needing them as well ;)

Looks like Glenn is the go to man and the rest of them can learn from him and Maggie. ;) But Glenn seems like the kind who would go back to the pharmacy looking for Viagra to see what it would do just for the fun of it. Of course with his luck, it would end disatrously and it would be impossible for him to keep it a secret. :rotfl2:

You've been warned. BTW, if you look, take a specfic interest of WHERE the photo is, tells a lot about a future plot.

So what did everyone think about tonight's episode?

Well they certainly haven't followed the Comic Book series for every character at this point....:) Basically - that picture isn't representative with the written Comic Book series. With that being said it could be that picture is from a dream, etc. as they have already shown to show some dream sequences.

Oh, sad! I guess it is to be expected at this point.

As for the person who said it isn't following the comic books well....was it actually supposed to? I thought the series was simply "based" on the comics (characters, etc), but not necessarily meant to be scene for scene. Maybe I am wrong on that one?

There are a few huge differences. Merle doesn't exist in the comics, neither does the CDC sequence. Shane is also killed off VERY early in the comics.

Already said, I am glad they are deviating from the comics, I HATED the Governor storyline.

I'm not saying it should and not upset they aren't, etc. They have covered most of the main characters in the TV series with what's in the Comic Book series and the settings are mostly similar so they are following the comic books for the most part.

However, I would be shocked if the picture turns out to be true as it is a far cry from the comic book series. 90 issues into the comic book series and that particular event/picture - well lets just say its a far cry from what the status is in the comic book.

You don't think they will do the Governor storyline - That seems like such a huge chunk in the comic book series.

It sure would be an interesting twist if that picture is true though.

Just a small plea to anyone who views the photo. Be careful how you respond to it. Given enough vague words, a spoiler could be pieced together. Some of us don't want to know ANYTHING. Thanks :flower3:

Didn't say that, I just said I am glad they are deviating because I hated the storyline. I have no idea if they will or won't I just hope the don't.
