The Waiting Game

Why is it that the from the point that I booked this trip until recently, time flew? And now, I'm down to a little over a month.....PS's are made, intinerary is done, final upgrades have been requested and even paid for. I have no other planning to do and now all I do is surf these boards and W-A-I-T!! I cant take any more waiting!! I'm slowly going insane for this vacation. The weather here stinks, I check Orlando's weather everyday and try to imagine being that warm again. Could March BE any slower???? I've never been a very patient person and I suppose there are alot of DIS'ers out there who'll want to tell me to shut my pie-hole because there counters are bigger than mine right now, I understand. Just wondered if there was anybody out there who gets down to the wire and notices that time seems to slow to a snail's crawl. Thanx for letting me vent.

I have 22 days and I'm going nuts. I finalized the plans last week and I'm searching the sites for any new information. Last night I started to pick some clothes to wear to work today and I noticed some things I want to pack for Disney, so you guessed it...I pulled out the suitcase and started to put in some shorts and tees. I can't stand this cold weather and I'm dreaming about the sun. My husband walked in and looked at me like I was nuts! He said we are leaving in over 3 weeks right? I just can't take it anymore.

We don't usually go till June or July but this year we're sick of winter and decided only a couple of weeks ago to go in April.

Time is really going slow. I shouldn't complain because my wait time has only been 53 day since I made ressie.

Should have went last week instead, lol

And the closer you get...the slower it goes. I'm down to just 5 loooonnnnngggg days. Oh my! Will it ever get here? And then it seems to go so quickly when you are there. Oh well, that's life!

I feel the same way. We are down into the 30's as well, and time is ticking away very slowly...

From the planning stand point, I have the advantage of being in South Florida. Why is this important, you ask? Because although my countdown says 28 days, I can still find things to worry about. Like getting the van checked out(that pesky oil leak). Having the tires balanced. Getting the kids to wash the van. Have to apply the latest Disney decals I got. Figuring out the best (cheapest) route to drive because they're getting ready to raise the rates on the turnpike. Have to go and buy new shorts for DD. Plus...now I have to start packing. Gotta pick up the cooler from the friend I lent it to. Gotta stock up on water, gatorade, snacks, breakfast foods. Pick out the movies we're going to watch on the drive. (Only Disney flicks) Oh, gotta go get my Play4Days pass. Have to decide if I'm going to use my Disney rewards or save them for a future trip. Oh, gotta burn some good music for the trip. Did I forget anything? Yes...I have to be sure the dog food bin is stocked so they don't go hungry while I'm gone. Likewise, I have to be sure the fridge is stocked so BF won't go hungry (or stray from the diet) while I'm gone. Gotta color my hair (pink) so they kids can find me if I get lost. Have to make sure I have all I'll need to A) use the digital camera I'm borrowing B) connecting the laptop I'm taking C) connecting the A to the B so I can download the pictures as need. Need to bring batteries and film for the 35MM camera I'm bring for DD.

Did I forget anything?

So actually...March...for me...is not going by slowly. You're lucky!!

I know - 25 more sleeps and it seems like forever. I've got double whining going on because the day we arrive is also my twin dds 10th b-day. So, I get to hear both how long till WDW and how long till my b-day!

But like like got2lovdisney, there's still so much to do! Waiting for the big sale at Kohl's and the 30% off coupon to buy new tennis shoes for the 3dds this weekend, sandles for youngest dd, new socks, etc.

Oh, well - we'll all be there soon!

We know how you feel. We have a double wammy. We have a little time until we get married and then off to Disney. We can't wait either. But remember, good things come to those who wait.

I completely understand the feeling! Then add the fear that although time dragging now it will fly once we get there!

I keep making lists of things to do, things to take, and things to buy. I hod forgotten to stock up on dogfood so that list helped me too!

I have the suitcases out and packed a bit but not ready to close them yet.

Disney is such a wonderful place! I wish I lived in the south where I could go more often!
