Hey Girls :wave2:

I can't believe the weekend is just about over already :sad2:

Michele - I like your post! Made me laugh  Sorry to hear you've been a bit blue...I get that way myself sometimes.

Sharky - Glad MomMom is finally on the plane. I bet she was sad to go. Glad Huey is feeling better :goodvibes

Cheri - I'm sorry Mike didn't get the job. That sucks that they had to act like it was his...why are people so stupid?

Carla - I bet your niece is having a blast! Did she like Dark Knight? I sure did! Sounds like you are having a nice weekend!

I'm BORED!

DH went to bed with a headache and I'm just watching The Next Food Network Star.

That sounds like fun. Are you allowed to take pics? if so, we would love some

Maybe you need to write into like Montel and he can ya on his show to get rid of your phobias

Love the fish story

Our walmart has those gallon ice teas for 1.79 last week. Where do you buy yours at?

Loved the historic photos....:goodvibes

Hot guy :rotfl2:
No, we weren't allowed to take pictures. Not that it would have mattered anyway. I went to my mom's house and dropped off my car for my dad. I drove their car to my sister's. My mom won't drive on the beltway. Actually, I don't think she goes above 35 mph. Anyway, I left my camera in my car. You would have loved it! Those singers/actors are really talented. There were even two kids in this playing Young Simba and Nala.

I'm not sure I want to get rid of my phobias. That would mean I'd have to get close to all those critters.:scared:

We would usually get them at Wal Mart if we were going there because it was the cheapest place to go. Now, it's just as expensive there as it is at convenience stores.

One of these days, I'm actually going to get to tour D.C., not just take pictures out the window of a moving car.

You don't think so?:confused3 :rotfl:
Tat - Loved the pics :thumbsup2 You crack me up girl...have fun :goodvibes And hey...I am not a slow driver :rotfl: ...I just have to cross 2 sets of tunnels to even get in the right direction of my Mom's house and you know those tunnels :headache:
Oh, yeah. Those tunnels suck. You would be better off driving to your mom's in the middle of the night when there's less traffic. Just tell her next time that you'll be there around 4 a.m.;)
Hey Girl. Hope you have fun tnite

Huey is a tad better, but not well enough for the party

He had runs really bad and not a good idea to go to a bouncing party, if ya catch my drift:eek:

Thanks for asking:goodvibes
Yeah, best to keep his germies away from the other kids, too. I can't believe everyone's kids are getting sick in the middle of summer. The kids aren't even in school now to share the germs.:confused3
Man, I'm older than I thought.
wow....where has everyone been?

We went out for Mexican tonight....poor Mike needed to get out. He got a reject letter today from the job he interviewed for a month ago. :sad2:

It really got to him. At the interview they practically told him he had the job, and he was so ticked that they led him on like that. He went outside and chopped up some old wood to let out some steam when he got home. Then he didn't want to talk for a while. I comforted him a while, but I really wasn't so sure what I could say that would make him feel better. It was a crappy thing those people did. Luckily, he was feeling better after dinner though. He's sound asleep now, and I'm pretty tired myself.

Just wanted to check in with y'all. Hope everyone has a great night!
I went out for Mexican last night, too! We went to El Pueblo. Not sure what that name means.

Sorry he didn't get his job. I don't blame him for being ticked. I hope you were a good little accountant and did his taxes for him to make him feel better.
Well, I had a pretty crappy day;)

DS has not felt good in a few days and lets just say it had to have all come out today

By about 4, he was feeling himself and running around like a madman. But I did not want to take a chance and take him to a bouncing party, so we stayed home

Hubby left for work about 6, and ds said he wanted to go outside and play.

So, we took him out, My mom and I for almost 2 hrs and he had a blast getting dirty, like any boy should :yay:

He came back in washed up and laid down on chair, as he said he wanted to watch a movie

I put a movie on and he was out in 5 mins

:goodvibes
Way to wear him out! My son is just the opposite. He hates to be dirty. Kyleigh on the other hand...she could get dirty if she lived in a bubble. And she doesn't seem to mind. She always looks like a little ragamuffin.

First of all if you would stay home once in a while you woudn't have so much catching up to do!

Now my dear, come lay down on my couch and lets talk. What do those bugs represent to you? Why do you think you are afraid of them when they are 1/100th of your size!!!! You tower over them and have the power to squish them and destroy them with one step!!!! You have the control!!!!
Don't let them scare you. Thousand leggers are ugly for sure but they do not bite and won't hurt you, so just pick up an old shoe and whack them! Get yourself a can of hairspray, good ultra mega hold stuff then if you see a bug like that, soak them in hairspray, give them a few minutes and when the hairspray dries they will be paralyzed, all stuck, :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Then take two pieces of cardboard, use one to push the bug onto and the other one to do the pushing and dump it in a trash can or outside the door.

Yes I will go fishing and found that I actually enjoyed it, it was fun catching a fish. I told you DH baits my hook but I threw the line out and I was able to reel in the big one!!!! Then I had him take my picture and after that he had to take the fish off!!! Is it just you and the kids going to Disney? Is your girlfriend going to be able to go afterall? I hope so. If so, maybe she fishes!!! Maybe she can take Shane. Or if Port Orleans offers fishing, there may be someone there that can help Shane fish and he won't have to miss it and you won't have to do it.

Now about this cow thing. They are big dumb animals, they are not smart enough to hurt anyone. Their entire lives consist of eating and drinking, making baby cows and either becoming a ribeye steak or giving milk. Now what is scary about that? They are not chasing you. For therapy I want you to go to one of the county fairs and go in the livestock area, walk around and see those gentle cows just standing around doing nothing but flicking flies with their tails. Just walk up to them and stand there and look into those eyes, they are so gentle and you won't see any meanness there. Now a bull is another story, I wouldn't get near those either!!!

Now I want you to sing Old MacDonald had a farm and sing the cow part over and over and over until you can do it without getting chills, lol.

That will be $50 please!!!!

This is true. I am wearing myself out. I feel like I haven't had a day off in forever.

They represent college when the little buggers were all over the place. I never had a bug phobia until college. When I was in college, I lived in Pittsburgh in an apartment building, apparently with a bunch of pigs living all around me. Those cockroaches would come in through the vents, and no matter how much we had them exterminated, they would always come back.

Yes, they can do something to me!!! What if one would crawl in, say, my ear, and lay eggs? Can you imagine thousands of little spiders hatching in your ear??? Or, they could get caught in my hair. Worse, they could crawl in my mouth or up my nose. What would happen if they laid their eggs there, huh, huh???:scared:

EEW! What if I had to squish a giant spider? And it makes a crunching or squishing noise? And bug guts squirt everywhere? What if I beat them to a bloody pulp, and its legs get stuck in my carpet and it somehow regenerates? Now there's a new bug crawling around to kill.

Whaddaya mean pick up a dead bug? By myself? I just leave a note on top of it for Joe.

Cows will poop anywhere. What if they poop on me? Then it attracts bugs? Have you ever seen the flies that hover around cows??

No fairs for me! That's what started the fear in the first place.:scared:

I don't think I'm going to pay you. You're a mean therapist!!!!:lmao:

What a shame...what happened to Jayne...WOW I haven't heard that song in years!!!

I'm so sorry he didn't get the job Cheri.

Glad he is feeling better Sharky!:goodvibes
Wow! At least somebody remembers it!:goodvibes
:yay: Have a great day everyone! We are off to the pool today!
Have fun! I hope you had better weather today than we did!
The Sister has done another update

And boy is it a doozie

Scoop Sharky :cool2:
I have got to catch up on that one. I've probably missed 10 updates.
yeah not having any really sucks!!

The weekend for me has been good. I've gotten all of my dailies this weekend (or so I think....didn't get done with the one from yesterday until 12:04am so I"m hoping it counted since I was able to do another one today) and we've been spending time with my 13 year old neice. We took her to see Dark Knight last night and she spent the night. Now her and Chris are playing on the Wii :thumbsup2 I feel terrible though because yesterday just as we were leaving to go eat dinner she was looking at Chris' motorcycle and she got too close to the exhaust and burned her leg!! :sad2: She's a tough girl and is okay but it's worse than my burn was 'cause it blistered. Then when we came back from dinner to get her some Aquafore to put on the burn it had been raining and she was wearing sandles with no traction.....well, wet sandles and slick garage surface = splitsville. She fell and hurt her toe pretty good on the same leg as the burn. She was in pain but she is a trooper and said she was gonna go see the movie if it killed her :rotfl: So, it has been interesting to say the least but fun too despite all the pain our home has caused my neice.
How old is your niece? Sounds like she's had a rough time. Glad she's okay.
I never have either :confused3

Oh hope you have fun!!

Oh man I hate those centapeed things :scared1:

How do they lay eggs in body orifices???? :confused3

:rotfl: uh huh...sssuuuurrrreeeee

hmmm....although I'd love to see you and my grandmother I don't think there's anything enticing I could convince chris to go up there for. Other than to see you....but maybe if you look a little harder at changes that *might* have been made to certain things you'd get a clue as to what's in the works :thumbsup2

Oh man, yeah good thing it was in the plastic. I can't imagine how messy that would have been

bummer that you're not getting the big bonus...if you have 12 surveys for the month you only need one more to get the $3 bonus :thumbsup2

:confused3 Never heard of the band or the song before. But I like it
I'm not sure how they lay eggs in there. Trust me, they do.

Hmm, I see some changes. I want some details, girl!

I think I can hit the $3 bonus. Then, maybe I'll be able to get a $50 gift certificate before the trip.

You neither!? I am old. At least you like it. I guess that means I'm not that big of a dork.;)
QM left NJ today and is off to Orlando.....................;)

Not exactly though, as her flight was scheduled to depart at 7:45pm and it was delayed til 8:55 as there were storms in Orlando

I just texted her now to see if she was getting ready to board and she said no, now they moved her gate

As I would say, Fun Times
She always has airport problems!! Remind me never to fly with QM.:rotfl:
I'm BORED!

DH went to bed with a headache and I'm just watching The Next Food Network Star.
Hi, Betsy. I'm bored, too. But I have to be going to sleep soon. Just got home like an hour ago, and I have to go to sleep already.:sad2:

Hi Michele!

I think I want Aaron to win! I made his chicken parm recipe from when they were in Vegas and it was :worship:

That's all it took :rotfl2:

How about you?

I like Aaron too. I really don't like Lisa at all. I was really rooting for Adam he is from Fairfield I guess from what the local paper says.

Hi Tat :wave2:

I like the idea of going in the middle of the night :thumbsup2

My Aunt's MIL was having a problem with her ear and she went to the doctor and when he held a light in to look...a spider crawled out :scared: :scared1: That is no joke! They say that spiders crawl in the ears and mouth during the night...:scared: I have to stop thinking about it or I will be freaked out to go to bed!!!! Anywho, I have the same problem with bugs. I swear that I get chest pains if I have to attempt to kill a spider!!!!

I have always wanted to see the Lion King show! Glad you had a good time!

I like Aaron too. I really don't like Lisa at all. I was really rooting for Adam he is from Fairfield I guess from what the local paper says.

I feel the same way. Something about that girl drives me nuts! I would be fine if Adam would win too. JUST NOT LISA! Is is me or do her eyes look like she has white makeup all around them and then other times it looks like she has a sunburn but it's actually makeup :confused3

It's not just you. My youngest DD Kody decided she wanted to try white eyeliner and I think that is what Lisa is doing. I haven't liked her from the beginning she is kind of a snob. As a general most people on the Food Network are personable and she isn't. I don't know if you caught it but in an earlier post I was mentioning Cat Cora used to belong to the same gym I do and I would run into her at the grocery store. She is a doll.

awww they're cute! :thumbsup2

yw :thumbsup2

oh thank goodness. Hope she has a safe flight

thanks girl

She should be landing in about a half hr:goodvibes

Hi guy's!

I have been in a blue funk for the last couple of days so I haven't been on Dis much. But I wanted to share this with you all.

None of that Sissy Crap

Are you tired of those sissy 'friendship' poems that always sound good,
but never actually come close to reality?
Well, here is a series of promises that actually speak of true friendship.
You will see no cutesy little smiley faces on this card-
Just the stone cold truth of our great friendship.
1. When you are sad --I will jump on the person who made you sad like a spider monkey jacked up on Mountain Dew!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2. When you are blue -- I will try to dislodge whatever is choking you.
3. When you smile -- I will know you are plotting something that I must be involved in.
4. When you're scared -- we will high tail it out of here.
5. When you are worried -- I will tell you horrible stories about how much worse it could be until you quit whining, ya big baby!!!!
6. When you are confused -- I will use little words.
7. When you are sick --Stay away from me until you are well again. I don't want whatever you have.
8. When you fall -- I'll pick you up and dust you off.
9. This is my oath...I pledge it to the end. 'Why?' you may ask -- because you are my FRIEND!
Friendship is like peeing in your pants,
everyone can see it,
but only you can feel the true warmth.

First off,

I missed your post on Cat Cora...how cool!!!
