I'm going to go relax and go to bed because I'm actually going to CHURCH in the morning! There's a fairly new non-denominational church about 5 minutes from my house that my cousin had talked about going to after she saw the billboard. As you know, Mike works weekends, so we don't go to church. When he no longer works weekends, hopefully someday, we'll be able to go to church on Sundays. Maybe if this is a good church we can go there.
Today, at one of my cousin's baby showers, my MiMi (Grandpa's ex wife) and my Aunt were there, and I was SO EXCITED to see them because it's been so long! I guess it sounds a little strange...Ever since my grandpa and Mimi divorced, our family hadn't seen them. My Aunt even had another child, a daughter, a couple years ago and I had never met her. She was precious. Her other sons are now 14 and 15 and I haven't seen them since they were about 5 and 6! It turns out she lives in Ponchatoula which is only one town over, and MiMi lives in Hammond, same as me!
AND they started talking about the church they attend, which happens to be the one 5 minutes from my house that my cousin was talking about just last week! It's called Eagle Heights, and I have high hopes that it will be a nice experience tomorrow!

What the hey is a quilt retreat???

Have you ever heard of a Lady's Retreat? It's sort of like that. A bunch of ladies met at a designated place for 7 days and all we did was sew and quilt and fellowship with one another. It was tiring but nice Look at the pictures on the link I posted and you'll get the drift of what we did.
