The Voice: Season 2 Official Thread

I thought this too but then she did Moves with Jagger with him so then I thought maybe it was all an act?

I think they are the two biggest stars there and they're both in a pissing match to see who gets to be the top dog.

Just because they did a song together does not mean they get along at all. I thought the song was more a "see. we can get along." thing. Her part of the song doesn't make a lot of sense anyway. When I've seen them perform it together, they don't seem to really have any chemistry onstage.

I still think he seems to be trying to ignore her. He mostly just sits with this certain expression on his face while she constantly interrupts. Sometimes, he snarks back, but I don't think it's in good fun--at least not for him.

And yeah, I thought the comment about him needing to be the center of attention was ironic.

I was so excited to see Tony Lucca! I've been following his career on and off since him MMC days and have downloaded some of his music through the years. I was SHOCKED that Christina didn't recognize him when they said his name. It's not like they said it once. Cee Lo repeated it a few times after the performance! Anyways, my adolescent crush is going to push me to cheer for Tony this season.

I'll never forget being on vacation in WDW and getting a chance to sit in the audience of MMC. One strong memory I have is when I got up to use the restroom, Keri Russell and Tony were snuggling under the seating area. How I wished I could be her at that time!!! :rotfl2: One of my other memories is of how Christina refused to talk to the kids in the audience in between takes. She was actually sitting in the audience to film a spot and ignored everyone around her. Even at 12 years old, I knew that was rude. Her diva tendencies seemed to be peeking out even then.

Great first night! Ilove this show and just adore the chemistry the judges have. Officially crushing on Adam Levine.

I love this show mostly for Adam Levine. Christina's constant whining annoys me.

I would consider Tony Lucca a professional, I don't think he fits on this show. I felt the same way about Frenchie last season.

Last night was the first time I have seen that show, and I really liked it. I would like it better if Adam was the only judge :lovestruc
Anyone know what time it is on tonight?

It isn't American Idol. They are just looking for the next great voice, not necessarily an undiscovered talent. :thumbsup2

That's one of the things I like about the show. There aren't any horrid delusional singers, just ones that aren't great.

I love Adam Levine. I wish Xtina would just let him talk and stop trying to throw him under the bus.

for Broadway fans, Tony Vincent (Rent, Jesus Christ Superstar, American Idiot) is on tonight.:)

ETA: he wasn't on tonight (they mentioned him Sunday night), so I guess next week....

Nobody's mentioned the random Dr Evil thing going on with Cee Lo and the cat? I couldn't help but burst out laughing every single time they showed any footage of him from whatever confessional that was.

Hi...joining in! Missed the name of the girl who just sang...but boy did I love her!:thumbsup2 I was hoping Adam would pick her , she seemd like a good match for him, but he probably figured maybe she is a very specific style? Anyone get her name?

I had just posted on my FB page that it looked like Cee Lo has his own Mr. Bigglesworth. :rotfl2:

My sister absolutely LOVES him! She has loved him for probably 15 years now (back when he was just a Christian singer).

I missed both episodes but was able to catch Sunday night's show On Demand. OMG! Juliet Simms (the rocker chick) was freaking PHENOMENAL!!

Haha, I was sent a naked picture of Adam Levine today on Facebook and cannot get it out of my mind ;)

Another Tony Vincent fan chiming in - I was so disappointed the last two nights that he still hasn't been on. LOVE him from American Idiot!

Did anyone see Christina's spray tan malfunction at the (I think) Etta James tribute? I would have been so embarassed!

I saw it on "the Soup" and Joel McHale didn't seem to think that was spray tan lotion... :rolleyes1

I love The Voice! A friend of mine was on last year, didn't get picked, got called back, got picked by Adam and then he set her up to fail by putting her up against the guy who won....but I digress.
You would think the producers of this show would read some of the blogs to see people's comments on Chrystina and tell her to tone it down. But I guess they say "Hey, that means they are talking about our show!" I just wish someone would say to her "You are someone's mom now, and this is recorded for posterity, quit showing your posterior! Or ****"s." LOL!!
