No Tony yet But I heard his voice in the preview for next week singing We are the Champions from the show he did in London a few years ago!

Hmm..I didn't recognize Jordis from Rockstar: Supernova. Neato! I really liked that show.

They made a couple of choices last night that left me shaking my head. I wonder if Christina is getting desperate and just grabbing at whatever now?

So far, no one has a "fire."

Last season, I was hooked on Vicci Martinez the first time I heard her sing "Rolling in the Deep." This time, I haven't heard anyone that would make me want to run to Itunes.

I did recognize Jordis - she is still awesome!
I don't know why they didn't turn for the rocker guy....oh well.

She had moments--brief moments--where she sounded like Delores O'Riordan from the Cranberries. But for the most part, I agree. I could NOT take an entire album of that. Just the one song she sang was too much.

For me, it is Juliet Simms. She was on the first night of auditions. I absolutely adore her!

Just caught the end. I was surprised only Cee Lo turned around. What was his story that you know of him before the show?

I saw him a few times in American Idiot; he started out in Christian Rock - wrote a song for The United Way, was in "We Will Rock You" in London for a couple of years - that's where he met his wife. His wife is Aspen Vincent, I also saw her in American Idiot - she used to tour with Meatloaf.

He is an excellent singer/actor/songwriter!!

I didn't care for Tony Vincent at all. I bet he's terrific on Broadway, but his voice and style don't translate to Pop music for me. I was surprised Cee Lo turned around at all.

I really liked the girl who sang "Rumor Has It" and the "Folsom Prison Blues" kid.

ITA with everything you said. I didn't think that Tony was good at all and was surprised when Cee Lo turned around because I wasn't expecting anyone to.

The others you mentioned are my favorites of the night, and they are on a short list since I haven't really seen anyone that has blown me away yet.

i thought that Tony Vincent had a great voice, but it sounded very Broadway to me. i think, if Cee-Lo reins him in a bit, he will go farther in the competition. but i also think that's why nobody else turned around. they seem to be mostly going for the indie/unique people with a more folksy sound.

I agree with you. I can't believe anyone turned around for Tony at all.

People used to say the same thing about Adam Lambert -- too Broadway. But he adapted his sound to pop music.

I think Tony will make it far in the competition. Maybe he won't win, but he'll make it to the Top 8 at least.

Tony can do much more than "broadway". He got himself noticed, that's all he needed at this point. He started out in Christian rock and can do any style they throw at him - I think he will go very far.

I wasn't one of those people. IMO, Tony Vincent isn't fit to set up Adam Lambert's mic stand, from a vocal point of view but I get what you're saying (though I thought people found AL "theatrical" not "Broadway sounding"). I just didn't think Tony was good.
