The Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Owners & Lovers Group - 3.0

I have officially gotten my daughter addicted to washing clothes while on vacation... but 11 months ago when I was new to DVC and the world of clothes washing while on vacay I booked us 2 studios this weekend. No washer/dryer for us this time. Oh how I wish I could trade in my 2 studios for a 2 bedroom this weekend.

Anyway I am here to ask what type of washers are in the communal laundry facilities? Top loaders or front loaders? Is it far from the DVC wing?

If I'm remembering correctly, the laundry room in the DVC wing had 2 front load washers (they seemed kind of small to me) and 4 dryers. I used 1 in June 2024. Literally it was the only washer in the whole building that worked!

There's a bigger laundry room somewhere on the hotel side but I've never been in it. All the washers were down in there during our visit.

Thanks. :earsboy:

There are washers/dryers in the DVC wing. Several on the ground floor not far from the DVC sales room. They are front loaders I believe. I did a few loads this past July.

I think the larger laundry room is on the 2nd floor by the Napa Rose elevators.

@VGCgroupie There is an app where you can see the status for iOS and Android: CSC GO

Two washers and four dryers seems accurate!

WOOOWWW. Technology these days. Thank you
I didn't know about the app either, so cool! Just wanted to confirm that 2 front load washers and 4 dryers is accurate. I took pictures when I used them during our stay a few years back.

Just an update after our VGC stay this week. Yes, some boards up at one side of the pool and some construction in that same area, but the pool was still lovely and construction noise only lasted a while. Every single staff member was super friendly, but service - from housekeeping, to bell, to hotel restaurants was at best "okay" - we asked multiple times for the same things (towels or what we'd ordered) and sometimes never received anything. The bellman services were so delayed it nearly caused a trip issue on departure (bringing checked items out to car). Still excited to return, but might want to lower any service expectations ;)

On our last stay (late September) it took almost an hour for them to pick up our bags from our room at checkout. We actually missed our Lamplight Lounge brunch dining time but they were (somehow) able to call and push it back for us.
