The USPS lost my Nemo DVD!

Has this happened to anyone else on the DIS? I preordered the DVD with the Bonus lithos, plush, and collector's pin back in July from Disneystore.com. I was sent an email on October 29th saying it was shipped via the USPS. When I hadn't received it by last Tuesday, I called and customer service blew me off, saying give it ten days. I was skeptical because Sleeping Beauty arrived two days after it was shipped. So today I called back and the CM said uh-oh. Apparently the USPS has "misplaced" a truck from the Disney shipping center to Texas! They are sending me out another copy, along with the lithos and plush but they sold out of the pins! I said the pin was important to me and I wanted it and she said they sold out three months ago. I reminded her I ordered it over three months ago so she placed a note on my file to send me one if they find them! She did credit the shipping charges back to my account and is sending me a $5 coupon for my next purchase. I am sad about the pin, we like collecting the movie pins. Anyone else have this happen to them?
 
I had it happen to me last Christmas. It wasn't from Disneystore, though. I ordered 2 DVDs from some site, I can't remember now, and it was taking forever. The USPS tracking said that it was shipped, but it never arrived. I ordered them in early November and by the middle of December, still nothing. The store told me that they would replace them for me, but since it was getting too close to Christmas, I didn't want to take a chance and wait and disappoint my little nephew. So they credited my account and I went to a regular store and bought them myself. So it probably was stolen. I used to know someone that worked at the post office and he said that CDs are stolen a lot. It doesn't make sense to steal that stuff and get caught, because they will get fired over something that doesn't cost that much.
 
Well that explains what happened to ours. I guess I am about to call again. No one told me that, they told me to wait till Friday. I got a email on the 29th too and live in Texas also. The pin is important to us also. If we don't get the pin I am going to be extremely upset. We ordered nemo as soon as they started preorders.
 
ariel1974- The CM told me that they just found out about it yesterday so anyone that called last week would have been told the same thing about just waiting.
 

The frustrating part of it was we called on Friday after it shipped on the 29th (9 days later) and treated rather rudely like I was crazy for thinking it should be here by now. We were told not to call them back until this Friday if it hasnt come in.

Also note we were just told we would be getting everything in, including the pin, although I suspect this is wrong and they just didnt want to tell us.
 
Well they are shipping it. I am not getting compensated at all though. I asked if I was getting everything and she said yes so we will see if I get the pin or not. Probably not though. Thank you for posting,they gave me the run around Friday and told me not to call back until next week. At least now I will have it by next week.
 
Well that must explain why I havent seen mine yet either. Im not going to be very happy if they lost my stuff and cant replace all it. I ordered it from them just to get all the extra stuff otherwise I could have just waited to buy it at Wal-mart much cheaper. :( :mad: :rolleyes:
 
Okay I just called Disney customer service and was told the orders for the entire state are gone :confused: I thought maybe it would have contained to a certain area of Texas but apparently its the whole state. Anyway the rep said they would replace it and I specifically asked about the pins, she said if you ordered one you will get a replacement one. She said I should rec my order in about 4 days. I was frustrated though they seem to be waiting for us to call them when since they knew about hte orders for this state they should now be calling us.
 
Same here. I just called again today to tell them I hadn't gotten it. Good thing we still have some time before Christmas!
 
I agree they should be calling us, I wonder if a replacment pin is the same pin, or a different one.
 
I hate to sound like a raving lunatic over a pin, but I really want mine. I'm anxious to find out if everyone receives what they are supposed to. I also wonder if they are only going to ship out replacements to people who call or if they will do a mass reshipment for everyone in Texas who preordered.
 
Brown done to you lately. They're not alone. Last year Disney Distribution sent me an empty box which was suposed to have had my last set, including a completer pin, for my Advent tree. When I questioned them it was sorry they're all out and no more comming. Fortunately I found them on eBay.
 
so has anyone that didn't recieve nemo gotten it in the last week.
Also anyone receive two shipments.

They were shipped USPS--United States Postal Service--Not UPS
United Parcel Service.
I started a thread on the cb about rec the dvd's but no one responded.

We called Monday and were told it was lost and a new one would be there in a couple of days.

On wednesday we got a shipment with everything in it, cool we got it all. Thursday comes around and we get a shipment notification that a nw order was shipped Airborne Express.

All I can say is Im glad that my origional order came wednesday as the replacement order wont get to me until Teusday or Wednesday. They could have least shipped the new one overnight.

Now I get to call and let them know I have 2 when it comes in, I wonder what they are going to want me to do with it?
 
I got a phone call last Wednesday morning from the CM I spoke with on Monday. She told me I would be receiving my pin after all. Then in Wednesday's mail came my package! I am assuming they found the "misplaced" truck and that was the original shipment. I have not received a second shipment so I guess they straightened it all out.

Also, I received a letter with a $5 "gift certificate." You had to use it on mail orders and within the next 60 days. Not good for phone orders, internet orders, or in the store. I will likely not use it, as I never do mail orders.

Hope everyone got their shipment. The plush are so cute and we added our pin to our movie collection.:Pinkbounc
