The unofficial waiting to make Be Our Guest ADRs thread-8/20 7am

DD is laughing at me, I am worse than her DD! I want to go for lunch and for dinner. She said if I get my way we will spend more time eating that we will touring :rotfl2:

The menu looks wonderful to me!

So, if it is Quick Service for lunch, that means no ADR's for lunch, right? Now how the heck am I supposed to plan my Christmas week ADR's? What do I book now that I'll be willing to cnacel if BOG is available in August?? AAAGH! Tough choices!

Good luck with that. There's an awful lot of us in the same boat.

On the up side, I imagine there will be more activity on the "cancelled ADR" threads than ever before as people juggle around. Right now, even my back-up plans have back-up plans!

What worries me is how many fewer ADRs there will be to go around in the first place if lunch is CS.... it could be very hard to snag one!

Think CRT before they added princesses to lunch and dinner. Now THAT was ugly..... Better go add back up plans to the back up plans for my back up plans......

Since it seats 500, I'm thinking it may not be quite as hard to snag a dinner ADR as most much smaller places.
The 1 TS creates a delima for me as we have deluxe dinning and we'll have to cancel a 2 ts dinner to slot BOG in, meaning I'll need to find another meal slot (breakfast - but I don't do mornings on vacation!)
Am I the only one not thrilled w/ the 'cupcake' desert offering - I mean, aren't we beyond the cupcake fad by now?

I'm hoping that most "regular" people don't even have a clue that BOG will be opening. It will just be us DIS-er's trying to get them in the first few days. At least that's my ideal scenario!:thumbsup2

I'm not over cupcakes yet, but I see them as a CS dessert or snack item. Not a TS dessert. I'd much rather see creme brulee or some chocolate thing.

I'm hoping. Anyone know the seating capacity of CRT? For some reason I'm thinking around 250 but my mind might just be making that up!

Keep thinking that good thought!

I think it's around 250 too.

Kids will never be over cupcakes! :thumbsup2 I'll go for the passion fruit dessert though, I am a sucker for tropical fruits! :cloud9:

Maybe it'll be the best cupcake ever! It seems every Disney Restaurant has creme brulee and cheesecake on the dessert menu. They should have souffles, though to pay a chef who can do them right all the time, it'd probably have made it a signature dining experience! ;)

I agree......... FAR better than those chocolate cakes they had everywhere. But for as pricey as I bet the TS will be, I'd like something more than a cupcake.

I think it's around 250 too.

So 2/3 the capacity of CRT in a day (1 meal vs. 3, but with double capcity). But given the newness, I still think this is going to be hard to get, especially if you're looking for a specific day or time.

Instead of cupcakes, I'd prefer some sort of "French themed" dessert, such as eclairs.

"sautéed shrimp and scallops with veggies in puff pastry with creamy lobster sauce, and an oven-baked ratatouille."

Yes please!! :cloud9:

I agree! That sounds amazing! So does the pork, though, since the osso bucco is gone at Mama Melrose. :guilty: I forgot to read the comments! Off to do that now!

Regards,
C.

No, but I am hoping this quote is a clue...

“We think guests will be pleasantly surprised with the menu and the value,” says Deardorff.

I saw someone commented on the blog that they were hoping to get a reservation for lunch. :confused3

Is there any chance they will do ARDs for lunch? I thought the point of a CS was to walk up and order, but this is the only restaurant I can think of that's both a CS and TS, so maybe they will do things differently.

Honestly, I was just hoping for a non-ADR, walk up, CS lunch in December. :thumbsup2
