Good info Alison! I am getting my kids in as soon as possible. Frelan and I dont qualify at all for it. Im good with that, as long as my kids are vac. against it!

The doctor indicated that there was supposed to be a huge supply of it coming down the pipeline and it was supposed to be in fairly plentiful supply by the end of November.

I think you can still get the shot, even if you are not in a high risk category, but you just have to wait a bit longer.

I do believe IV is my middle name. But I imagine that is nothing in comparison to how E. feels.

DS just got fitted for contact lenses last week. I think the doctor was mad when my DH asked for a copy of the prescription and didn't buy the contacts from them. He told them his wife shops around and if they would write their price per box on the back of the prescription that I would contact them.

Well I went online and as usual got the best prices at justlenses.com, plus had a code for free shipping. So the price was $37.99 per box, the eye clinic was going to charge $60 per box. So I called them and gave them the price I found online, I asked them if they could meet or beat the price. The lady got all offended and said "NO, we don't do that! We have to make money you know!".

Of course I informed her that I'm sure they would make money from billing our insurance company for the eye exam and fitting. Not only that, I told her I'm sure the online contact lens company is in it for profit also, they obviously aren't losing money at $37.99 per box. I was happy to pay them $37.99 a box and purchase 4 boxes at that price. She said no, we don't make deals. SO....I ordered my 4 boxes from justlenses.com. Funny thing is, they seemed very happy to sell them to me.

wow, I would have never thought to shop around for contact lenses! What a great idea! Too bad I just bought 6 months worth, at a ridiculous price, because I didn't know you could shop around! I have a lot to learn from you I see.

That's true... He's had more IVs, needle sticks and "procedures" to last several lifetimes plus his daily dialysis... which went well today BTW.
He told me it was "juicy" ... ewwww.

He managed to pop in at home before he went to a training today. Good because he had splatter on his shirt.. one of his nice Bahama Joe shirts that retail for $100 (that we find at our thrift store for $15) I rinsed and washed it right away, hooray!

Saved the shirt, but noticed after I put everything thru the dryer.. one of his other nice shirts had red splatter.
I assumed it was blood and scolded E for not letting me know, nope it was red tempera paint and he figured it would come out.

Umm , NO red paint never comes out. I have a painting apron that's been washed many many many times, the other colors fade but the red always stays. Green is very bad too, I have some old t shirts where a swipe of green dribbled past my apron. I haven't worked in preschool for a few years now, green paint is still there.

Kinda nice to have an evening free of dialysis for once. I wish he could run nocturnal. His team looked at us crazily when we brought it up at the last visit. The nurse I detest claims "they don't do that yet". He's wrong of course. They just don't yet thru Davita the money suckers.

And yep, we would be Tier 3 too. If they ever get the supply ready. E's neph is convinced that his patients will not get the vaccine due to supply issues. Gotta wait and see.

I haven't had a chance to catch up too much but what month are you guys planning to go to DL?
I'm trying not to bombard you guys with phone calls anymore. Don't get me wrong, it helps to talk to you guys, I appreciate it, but I don't want to be a nuisance and I know you guys are busy too and have your own stresses to deal with.

February 4th to 7th (or something like that, I believe actual dates are not yet set until we get the hotel and flights plotted out... still waiting for miles to credit ).

Nuisance? BAH! Call anytime, it helps me get through my own boring day. With our new phone provider it doesn't show a name for cell phones (and some landlines too), takes me awhile to figure out "who do I know with area code????" Gotta bug qwest and ask why it does that. I will train my boys to answer if they see your number.

Well, if you haven't read my update on FB yet...my bloodwork came back excellent, except for Vitamin D.

Can't tell you how relieved I am that my bone pain, aches, swollen lymph nodes and everything are just from the Vitamin D issue.

Awesome! hmm, a trip to sunny California is just what you need this winter.

And yes, up that calcium. Osteoporosis is no fun -- E's broken a rib playing golf and a finger playing "mercy" ... ahh the joys of osteopenia (early stage osteoporosis) one of the many co-diseases of renal failure.. especially when you don't follow the diet or take phosphorus binders..

Geez.. I feel like CRAP! What the heck is wrong with me? I am so BLAH the past couple of days. Even my husband noticed it. and you know if he notices it.. something is WRONG! Im crabby and tired.. grumpy.. stressed... It REALLY didnt help talking to my mom tonight.

She says that I need to send her a list of what the trip is going to cost her. Ummmmmmm... Go online, and price out your package. I told her that SHE had to do it. She said... NO. I dont know how. What the hell?? What do you mean you dont know HOW??? She has done it before!! ARGH!! Seriously guys. She told me what she wanted to do on this trip. I said OKAY. I planned it out so we would have plenty of down time, and manage everything that she wanted to do. I have figured out how to get everything to work for all seven of us. I have found us airfare.. and just plain ole done everything! She cant even price her own damn trip? I have FOUR LITTLE KIDS. I dont have time for this CRAP. I am gonna cut someone. I swear I am.

Frelan said that I need to just leave the trip for now and not worry about it. HELLO GENIUS. I have to get the dining ressies done THIS WEEK. After that I am DONE. Nothing else until after Christmas.

When my mom came to visit me she had me plan the whole trip, send her everything she needed and she was coming to me! I wish I had the nuts to stand up to my mom like you do though. I don't argue I just do what she says to keep peace

More wedding drama and we're still a year away from the wedding.
This time it's from dh's side. We made a wedding website that is for invited guests only because we're doing RSVPS on the site and don't want people who aren't invited to RSVP. Dh told his family this, and someone went and told a distant aunt of dh's about the website. This aunt is NOT invited, and she goes on the website and says she can't wait for the wedding.

Ugh. Is it too late to elope?

Blah feeling?
I know that once I get details done on a planned vacation.. it seems the idea of taking the vacation loses the "glow". I know it's odd, the planning and imagining how it will work out is part of the fun and then the planning is done and POOF so is the excitement.

Or maybe it's just the time change, fall drearies?
I've been feeling UGH too, it takes me awhile to adjust to the time change plus we have cooler weather mixed in with some changes in our routine (E getting up super early to dialyze in clinic and I babysat in the morning again for sis). I am a droopy, tired, muscle/joint screaming pain mess..... PMS thrown in just to push it even further. yeah, how fun.

Happier news, I signed up for Netflix and we had a really fun evening watching movies using our XBOX. We should have done this a long time ago! Better than cable, no commercials and cheap!

No, it is not to late to elope. OR you can do what I did...we told everybody we were going to Reno to get married on the 4th of July. If they wanted to come join us they could, if not, oh well. It was just word of mouth, no invitations, etc...we arrived a couple of days early, got our license. The morning of the 4th I started calling around to find a chapel to get married in, set a time of noon...then called everybody and told them we are getting married at noon at the Heart of Reno wedding chapel, right across the street from the courthouse. It was fun!

Afterwards my mom & dad invited everybody to a hotel for a buffet dinner. We didn't need to make reservations, just showed up, had a few drinks, ate and had fun. Then everybody parted ways a couple of hours later.

EASY PEASY! NO STRESS, NO MESS, NO FUSS, NO PLANNING, NO OFFENDED PEOPLE, NO RIDICULOUS PRICE TAG. Overall a very enjoyable, unstressful day.

LOVE netfilx with the XBOX. Seriously.. So cheap and easy. I would recommend it to anyone. We caught up on Lost, and Heroes.. plus a bunch of other shows we wanted to watch.

I dont know what my problem was.. But I sure was in a FUNK. Im good now. I might have had atad of caffeine withdrawal going on.

That sucks I'm sorry you have to deal with drama for your wedding. Did you get to ask that person why they told the aunt about that? I was going to suggest telling them that the distant aunt wasn't invited to the wedding but then I would be afraid of that person telling her: "Oh you weren't invited" and then more drama would occur. Do you know what you will do?

I hope you are able to work everything out. Bottom line: it's YOUR special day for you and your honey, no one elses. You have the right to decide who attends and who can't.


*Off Topic: I went to Cost Plus World Market awhile ago and saw a box of different chocolate candies. It says it's from the UK. I tried some and also gave some to my co-workers. It's really really good. Do you have this there where you leave? Have you had it before? My favorite one is the orange cream.
