The Unofficial Chatterbox Thread! Everyone is Welcome!

WOW!
Here I was thinking.. twins.. they will be tiny mites for awhile.

Guess I was wrong!
My youngest nephew will be in his car seat forever.. he's just a little shrimpy thing! He is just now wearing size 2T, but only if it has the adjustable waist to make it snug in or belt loops. Do you know how hard it is to find belts for little boys? Sis had to get mighty creative, velcro strip or a dog collar. :lmao:

He's 3 1/2 years old.

sigh.. time for bed, but I need to wait for a teenager to get out of the bathroom. I miss having 2 baths from our last apt, so much easier.. and cleaner too!

At last!

The teenager has emerged.

Goodnight!

And yes it is a pumpkin.. or will be in the fall. :flower3:

Guess what ladies! Two more sleeps until I fly back to Canada for a visit! I'm so excited, all the cheap shopping, all the good food I won't have to cook and the birthday cake and wine I'll get!!
I'M EXCITED!

woooooohooooo

That deserves a visit of Shawna's favorite guy!

Awesomeness!

DRUM ROLL PLEASE....and once again Alison gets the Mother of the Year Award because.......................she forgot birthday candles for DS's cake. But I was able to save the day....had two large white taper candles, put two of them on the cake and what does that make 11!:lmao: Thank goodness DS has the same warped sense of humor the rest of the family does. DD would have freaked if I did that to her birthday cake!

So our kitty is still nameless and yesterday when I got home from work DBF's shows me this paper and at first I think it's the contract we signed when we got the new kitty from the breeder, I'm like "What?" And he keeps holding it in front of me, then I notice that it's filled out in his writting (I filled out the first one) and I still don't really get it. Then I notice the date (July 14, 2009) and finally I get it. He bought another kitten yesterday. :sad2: He said that the first one needed a friend. The new, new one isn't ready yet but we get to pick her up on August 4th. She was born the middle of June I think. I guess she's a blue (gray) and white with a really smooshed face. Now we need to think of 2 names.:sad2: But we are going to think of names that go together like maybe Sugar and Spice.

DBF wouldn't let me put candles on his cheesecake for his birthday. I don't think he wanted to hear me sing. :rotfl:

From the Kendra show last night....how about Chanel and #5?:rotfl: Or you could make it simple Kitt & Tee. We have two kitties and they do keep each other amused.:thumbsup2

Oh, BTW last month my DS had a wax museum project at school. They research a person and then create a research paper, timeline of their life and draw a picture of that person. Then all of the 5th graders dress up like their character and have to stand still in the hallway of the school (with their timeline, info. about the person and picture of person behind them on the wall). Parents and students get to walk down the halls thru the Living Wax Museum. DS chose Jeremy Lusk! :thumbsup2 I know most of the kids chose people like George Washington, Lewis & Clark, Cleopatra, etc... But I thought it was pretty neat that he chose to honor someone that wasn't well known in mainstream. Lots of parents and students stopped at his exhibit because they had no idea who Jeremy Lusk was...of course they stuck him right next to a girl that chose to be Travis Pastrana! Too funny...guess the teacher's didn't know what to do with the mx oddballs and stuck them together.:lmao:

That's cool he chose Jeremy Lusk.:thumbsup2 It still makes me sad about him but at least he was doing something he loved. Travis Pastrana is my FAVORITE! I even have a Pastrana lunch box that I use to bring my lunch to work. Lol. Did your DS just wear his gear for dressing up as Lusk?

DBF and I have been watching the Off Road Truck Racing lately. Quite a few of the MX and FMX guys are racing trucks now, Brian Deegan, Cary Hart, Jeff Ward.

My nephews have a giant poster of them with Travis. He comes to race at Portland International Raceway and always goes to the mx track in the back and walks around and talks with everyone. He wore his mx gear, but not helmet, he wore some kind of hat that Jeremy wore. His drawing of Jeremy was really good. The little girl that stood next to him, dressed as Travis had her dad bring in a motorcycle as a prop, so they both stood next to it.

So I'm guessing you get sucked into watching Nitro Circus like I do also?!:rotfl:

I wish we could have more than one cat, our Poly was the remaining survivor of the litter.. the rest were eaten by a mink. :sad1:
Now MIL has only one cat, indoor only, since she lives in an apt now , no more chances to rescue another many toed kitty from being feral and possibly eaten.

Not sure how Poly would handle another cat, besides I think we are only allowed one per lease.

But that doesn't stop us from cooing and awwing over the rescues on display at Petco.

Gross!
Hubby likes watching this show on Animal Planet called "The Monster Inside Me"

Personal stories of people with medical mysteries, only to find they have some freaky parasite infestation that is causing the problem. Nasty!!!
Makes me wanna hurl!

I love those kinda shows.:thumbsup2 They are very interesting, learn lots of new things. Not to mention that it makes those of us with medical problems feel not so bad about our situation.

There was one on not long ago about a lady that went to the ER with her husband and she kept telling them there was a worm that was coming up out of her scalp. Of course they thought both of them were crazy and called in a psych doctor. Then finally the doctor was looking and seen one of them come out of her head. Seems some sort of worm thing had went into her scalp and they were able to get it out.:rotfl2:

Breakfast anyone?

Yesterday when I got home there was a FedEx box waiting for me. Inside was 2 2010 wall calendars and 2 2010 Day-By-Day desk calendars from Cat Fancy. A while back when we got out black and white kitty named Katie I had entered her photo in to a contect and they picked her as one of the winners! Only 365 cats were picked (one for each day of the year). Next to the picture is mine and DBF's names, the kitty's name and our City and State. Pretty cool! :thumbsup2
