Second, I'm so sorry to hear about your grandfather falling. I'm glad to hear that he's in good spirits, though. Here's to his speedy recovery!

Just got home a few minutes ago and my sister called. The x-rays were negative and they are thinking that it is bruised. I don't think an x-ray can show if there is any tear, but I could be wrong. I'll ask the brains of the family... Melody. The pain is mostly present when he tries to move his leg. They are sending a therapist to check him too. LOL He is in good spirits cracking jokes and fooling around. Thank you all for thinking and praying for him. If I hear anything else I'll post it.

Great news that nothing is broken!!! Poor guy! Glad to hear he's in good spirits though. Hope you get more details and that everything is fine! And that you can celebrate your b-day too. Everyone deserves cake on their b-day, it's a law I think!

I was going to post an update tonight but I just spent the last 2 hours getting my website working. I added some info then my whole site was down. Good news is it is up and running again.


My grandfather is staying the night for observation then he is going to a rehab facility tomorrow for a few days. The doctors think he just has a very deep bruise and is going to rehab for a few days before going back to live with my dad. Thank everyone again for the prayers and thinking of him.

Happy birthday! Sorry I missed it, been very busy now that I am healthy again! Mono test was negative but my white blood count was high (probably just the infection) so they took more blood today, but I think I am done being sick for a while. No fun. Glad to hear you are feeling better and that your grandfather is OK! That can be so scary! An xray won't pick up a tear, he would need an MRI for that, but if he does OK at the rehab he probably won't need to go further. Hopefully it is just the bruised bone and he can go home in a few days!

Thank you. He is getting moved at some point today. Hopefully he will only be there for a few days to a week to get a little stronger. He does pretty good for being 96 years old!

LOL He is a warrior. He has been through so much- he does ok it is just hard to see his health start deteriorating.

When I last left you Juliana opened a bunch of Big Gives over the weekend. On Tuesday (11/8), there was another package that arrived.

Juliana started opening the envelope...

What is the first thing she pulled out? Bubble wrap!

She HAD to take a break from opening and pop the bubble wrap.

Back to opening.. She pulled out a BIG shirt.... I don't think it was going to fit Juliana. LOL It was a red shirt that said Wish 2010.

There was second shirt...

Then a third that was more Juliana's size...

Here is what was on the shirts.

I think I will look good with a princess Wish 2010 shirt.. Don't you think?

There was also one more shirt for Juliana that said Make A Wish. Here are all the shirts.

On Wednesday (11/9) when Juliana got home from school, we went to get the mail and there was another package!

Here is Juliana using her muscles to get it open.

She pulled out the first gift and it had my name on it.

There were some pictures for Juliana in the box.

Juliana took out another gift and it was for Melody. She found some stickers in the box and had to make a fake serious face. LOL

Juliana helped me open my gift.... hummm it was a shirt.

Juliana took this picture of me. She did a pretty good job!

When Melody got home from work she opened up her gift. We had matching shirts!

Thank you Carol (sorry don't know your DIS name) for the great shirts! It seems like they will match Juliana's Cinderella dress. Please thank your kids for the pictures for Juliana! She loved them!





I'm trying to keep up with all the Big Gives and I am almost there. Juliana also received an envelope from MAW today that congratulated her for being approved for her trip to Disney! We are 13 days away... the time is starting to fly by. I think we will be opening up the suitcases this weekend and start getting our clothes together.

I also have a little more planning to get to. Has anybody been in MK when they do the taping for the Christmas parade? Is it total mayhem? I hope only Main St. is busy and the rest of the park is not bad. We are only going to stay in MK for the morning till early afternoon then head over to DHS to see the Osbourne lights.
