The Trip Is On!!! Trip report starts on pg. 39

No more resort fee. Just a parking fee per day if you have a car to park.

Hotel taxes are something like 15%, and they might have gone up.

I think it is 15% still. Thank you I thought I read that the resort fee was gone. Do I still have to pay for parking with my AP?

Ladies - 17% for the hotel tax, not 15%. The tax increased in November.

Oh, and I should clarify this because this question came up in another TR and another thread - all the character meals have a 90-minute time limit and it's been that way for a long time. I think the Dining folks just began to actually tell guests about it in the last couple of years, but it's been there for a while. Most people probably never knew because they didn't have to be escorted out of the restaurants after 90 minutes!! Most people are done in 90 minutes!

Sherry is right about the hotel tax is now 17%.

$663.39 for three night with everything sounds like a reasonable price staying at the DLH.

Thank you Sherry I knew you would know!!:goodvibes

That is true about the meals. I had never heard it before I was kind of surprised to hear it. But it makes sense they are in business to make money after all.

I thought it was a great deal!!

The room is booked!! We are locked in for 3 nights at the DLH!! I am so excited!!:dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

Well, I have actually done trip related things. I called and cancelled our reservation at Ayre's and I am seriously thinking about cancelling our WoC reservations in favor of the picnic instead. D told me that she trust me on my decisions.:scared1:

I hope that I live up to that trust!!

First of all: :cool1::cool1::cool1: You are officially staying at the DLH!! That's just a reason to celebrate right then and there!

If you think you should cancel your WOC meal, then that's what you should do. The picnic meal is definitely a cheaper alternative. I'm still really picky myself and would probably stick with the meal just because I didn't want to get stuck with a yellow FP when I could have been guaranteed the preferred dining section. Then again, I'm also one who should really watch her money. Eeesh. But whatever you decide will be the right move for you!

Thanks Jessica. There are other ways I can cut too if it came down to it. I am not stressing, I allowed for a lot more souvenir money than I need. SO, who knows. How much worse are the yellow seats?

I don't know, honestly. I think it just bothers me a little that if you're paying you aren't guaranteed which section you're in and that someone who is purchasing the same thing as me might get blue on a whime when I might get yellow on a whim. I don't really think it matters so much in the endgame because either way you still get to see it. But the whole principle of it drives me bonkers, lol.

That's true. I wonder if there is a map showing the areas on the website? I need to go see. The only thing I know right now if that I get to stay at the DLH!!!:dance3:

I know there's one here around the DIS somewhere that someone made. I'm sure if you find the WOC Superthread you'll be able to find it ;)

Ooh thank you. Upon further research I think we will keep that reservation. I want a good view.
