And I would talk about more on there if I was going on a family trip, but going on a trip without Scotty, and our teenagers I get enough comments on here that I don't want the slings and arrows on there.

Boy do I understand that. I can talk about it more freely now that my sister removed me from her FB. We had a falling out last summer and she removed me saying it "bothered her" to see the pictures of all the family stuff we were doing since she lives in Washington state and we're in California. My son went camping with "Papa" this past summer and it bothered her to see the pictures. At least that's her story. I can't help that they chose to move away but I don't feel my sons life should be stopped and not be able to share the happy things we do.

My dad died when my son was three and his other grandpa is not part of our regular life so he didn't have that relationship and he really has missed it. Especially since his best friends grandpa was a huge part of the friends life. He told me that he missed having a papa when he was 8 years old and I cried. It is unfair of our sister to lay that back on you. She chose to move.

My sister does the I'm jealous posts and it embarrasses me. Hers is a case of they cannot afford the trips to Disneyland because they choose to not work. I learned to just ignore it.

That is just so incredibly sweet. I don't think the sadness ever really goes away. I just try to think about how lucky I am to have the memories I do have. I checked all of the weather websites going against my own advice and everyone of them has us with clear weather Monday-Wednesday with a chance of showers on Thursday and that is the day we are coming home. I am feeling pretty good about the weather now. Thank you for sharing your luck with me!!
