There is news on the trip front.

D and I communicated through text messages today. She was shopping at Costco, she got a tub of red licorice, some crackers and was going looking for shelled sunflower seeds.

Tomorrow I am going to the store to pick up a few more things like Diet Coke for D and Diet Pepsi for me. And a few other things.

D also picked up our rental car and instead of a Chevrolet Impala we have a Chevrolet Malibu. So that is pretty fun.

D and I communicated through text messages today. She was shopping at Costco, she got a tub of red licorice, some crackers and was going looking for shelled sunflower seeds.

Well, it had stopped raining for a long time today. It was almost even sunny for a while. And now it's pouring heavily all of a sudden, with fun lightning and thunder. You'll probably miss all the rain by the time you get going to DLR, Michele!!

You know, thunder and lightning used to terrify me as a kid. I would hide under the blankets so I didn't have to see the lightning flash because I knew that meant a big loud thunder clap was coming within seconds. Now I'm not so bothered. Well, let me put it this way - if I am trying to sleep and there is loud thunder and bright lightning, it annoys me because it keeps me awake. And the realllly loud thunder claps are a bit unsettling. Otherwise, I have pretty much outgrown the fear. Here I am, sitting next to the window, on the computer, daring the lightning to find me, which probably isn't such a good idea!! I'm living on the edge!!

It's suposedly 47 degrees right now while this monsoon is happening outside. Feels colder than that. But I'm sure this will be mostly gone or completely gone by when you go.

I used to be scared to death of thunderstorms when I was a kid, now I am like you and I dare it. My girls are still afraid of it. We hardly ever see the big storms not like you do in the central valley or in the midwest.

It was 39 degrees and pouring down rain last night and snowing on all of the surrounding mountains. I just am glad that we don't have to face snow storms in the grapevine.

I'm glad your feeling better. Not much longer now and you'll be able to relax and enjoy Disneyland. If I don't pop back in before you leave... Have an awesome, wonderful, fantastic, magical vacation and some much deserved "Mommy time"

Woo hoo! It's sunny right now! Chilly (41 degrees), but sunny!! And everything seems clean and fresh because the rain washed out all the muck. It will probably be a really nice day at DLR tomorrow. Not hot. Cool. Comfortable. Clean air. Should be good!

I got totally freaked out this morning. It froze last night after the rain stopped and my van was more iced over than I have seen it. Then I drove Scotty to work, on my way home I got a view of the small mountains that surround the valley I live in and they are covered with snow. We don't get snow, and it looks really odd after the 70 degree weather we had last week.

I am thrilled to hear that it has that beautiful crisp after the rain cleanness look and feel to it. I hope we get a room with a DTD view, I love to watch them clean it in the morning and how beautiful and fresh it looks before the visitors get out there.
