The Tagliarchy Mansion

 Dan Murphy. Nice to see you pop by every once in a while. Have a Wonka bar. (I'm sure Nephosaurus won't mind if I dip into his stash for you.)

Isn't our new plan soooo exciting, everyone!?!?!?!?!? OK, who's in? All of you DL vets need to give us lots of tips & advice as we've never been there before & don't want to miss a thing!

Hey now, don't go gettin us all excited about another family trip. ;)

It's a gray, dreary day here. But inside the sun is shining cuz I'm listening to Park Hopper Radio. Anyone else have Live365/Disney on their computer?

(I also have ºoº MouseWorld Radio 1, D-Magic, and others bookmarked that play Disney/Parks music and attractions. But I like Park Hopper because it's just attractions and makes me feel like I'm there.)

DUST!<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/12/12_5_7.gif' border=0></a> I figure since I have so much of it, might as well put it to good use. Shaken or stirred? Frozen or on the rocks? With salt or without?

Hey Lewski - you talk funny.:teeth:

No DIS radio. Just sitting here, waiting for an ebay auction to end so I can pay with my space heater on, my belly full and thinking about making the burger patties for dinner. Once Tye wakes, we gotta run to the store for some bread, buns and individual ice cream cups for the kids. A boring day. The laundry is screaming at me and I am NOT listening!

Hey now, I do not. I betcha someone hanging around says ya'll a lot and you and DHB probably say youins. That's funny talk!

I, for one, have never, I repeat EVER, said youins in my life!:snooty:

So, what you do Y'ALL think about getting a nice lakeside retreat for our next crib? Complete with a houseboat tied to a very oversized dock and a nice fire-pit down by the water, perfect for making S'mores and sipping hot chocolate on cool spring nights while ibouncetoo tells us great bedtime stories and RickinNYC tells us scarey, spooky, horror stories that will keep us from ever sleeping again?

And, yes, I suppose since I am still the winner<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/15/15_4_112.gif' border=0></a> when it comes to post count, I would be very honored to hunt us down a wonderful new home.

Talk among yourselves and let me know what you decide. :wave2:

Any interest in a tagliarchy gift box? I could start it and send it on. I would put something in there for all participants and one special thing in it for the person I am sending it to for starters. The stuff for everyone would have to be on the smaller side, cuz as the box went around, with people adding more stuff it could get rather big. The thing I haven't quite worked/thought out would be once you get it and send it on.....how would the person who had it before you get what you put in it for them. I dunno, tell me what you all think, or is it just a silly idea. I won't be offended. And yes, I know we have people here who live outside the US.

sorry no color, on a different 'puter...

Tink backwards when we did DL and CA 2 summers ago, we only bought the 3 day hoppers and it was not enough... i would recommmed the 4 day... Also, don't forget about LEGOLAND..

Kismet... HAPPY and MERRY... hope everything is perfect for your special day...

CourtasanSatine how are things??

we made the 10 mile hike in decent time only took the kids 4 hours.. not too bad, I was worried that it would take longer...
now to the store and then cub scout last blast party...

leaving some chocolate fudge and carmel chocolate brownies without nuts..

Lewski709 what would be in the box other than chocolate??? and do we get to eat the chocolate or just look at it???

llebrekniT, funny, your plan kind of fits in with mine! After a 2004 AP to WDW and three trips wihin a year, 2005 is going to be the year of the Disneyland AP and lots of long weekend trips there (and sadly, no WDW). So it's very likely I could 'accidently' run into you there sometime!;)

Once again I've managed to avoid doing very much housework and just made plans to meet PixieMagic for a movie in about an hour, then maybe California Pizza Kitchen for dinner (great salads). What movie are we seeing, you ask.....of course, JOHNNY DEPP in Secret Window! I'm going right to bed when I get home to see if he'll show up in my dreams tonigh::yes::

Catch ya latter, TAGLIKINS

OK, I'm really supposed to be getting ready for the movie, but I've got a quick story as it relates to DISNEYLAND.

Remember I was dog sitting last week? Well, it was for my old boss. He and his ex wife and another gal pal were taking all eight of their combined kids to Disneyland. I didn't know this was their destination till about an hour before I went over to pick up the keys and they had mentioned on the phone that they hadn't even check out park times on the internet!!!!!! I nearly had a STROKE. First, HE knows I'm a DL vet....why the heck didn't they talk to me sooner!!!!!???? So I quickly print out a sked for DL and DCA, dig out two old park maps and give them a one hour crash course on Disney. Get this....they never hear of FAST PASS!!!! One of the kids was looking at one of the maps and said "What's Pirates of the Carribean? Is it like the movie?" I was smacking my forhead with BOTH hands

Anyway, they get home, had a wonderful time and paid me DOUBLE because all the tips I gave them saved them so much time and they saw/did some stuff (that they maybe would have passed on) based on my recommendations. So, yes, I'll have suggestions and ideas for anyones trip to DL.

....OK...really gotta go now! Will give movie review later.

llebrekniT A place by the lake sounds great and the houseboat is a wonderful idea, but please........NO jet skiis.....I'm a sailor at heart and can't stand the obnoxiously loud whining noises those things make .......you might as well stick forks in my eyeballs for heavens sake.......ok, I'm calm again.....I'll get off my soapbox now...

....and um, could you make my bedroom a waterfront view with a small terrace where I can drink my morning cocoa?

....and YES, us Southern belles do say YA'LL alot, but it is a sign of endearment....one wouldn't say "YA'LL" to someone she didn't like.....my college roommates were all from New England....let's just say I got teased quite a bit......but hey, the guys love "southern talk" so who's complaining!:teeth:

BTW, I'm nervously typing as I wait for the cute Dentist to pick me up for our first date...........wish me luck......I'm gonna need it...

Bye YA'LL!

Evening all :wave2:
Ooh a house boat at our next place. One of my favourite English breaks was a week on a canal boat just floating along (and getting off every now and again to open lock gates!)
I just got back from DH's school musical. It was quite good, there were a couple of really tallented kids there. I chatted to the head master and his wife for a while and they are really nice (I have met them a couple of times before.) Right now we are having a bite to eat (didn't have time for any dinner before we went!) before going to bed fairly soon. We have to be up early again as DH borrowed some lights and sound equipment from the theatre we help at and it has to be taken back in the morning. Then I need to go to a garden centre to get some plants for my classroom for an experiment we are doing in science next week.
Right now I am going to watch the rest of the x-files which is on right now.
Have a good evening eveyone.

Oh by the way,

lewski709 a gift box sounds like a great idea. I'm sure I could find something typically English to put in it for everyone (although I'm not exactly sure what typically English is - any ideas?)

Ooh that could be a good question for everyone - What is your stereotypical image of an English person and of something typically English? I promise I won't be offended by any suggestions! :)

Checking in here.

House by the lake sounds great. No jet skis fine with me. Me and Norman want to hear the looooooons. ;)

I'm in for any exchange. I love shopping and I love getting presents. Especially three months after Christmas!

No one is allowed to take any more vacations until I go somewhere. We went to the parade today and lasted one hour. Mind you, "my people" are hardy people. ;) But 24 degrees with ridiculous winds whipping between buildings is no way to have a St. Patricks Day parade. Those poor little Irish dancing girls. I felt so sorry for them in their little short dresses. :( The only people that seemed to be enjoying the weather are the ones with the coolers next to them. One guy had one of those insulated sleeves over his beer. I was wondering if that was to keep the beer cold or to keep it from freezing.

Good Luck cadburysmom, I will wish you the same thing that I wished one of my friends at work yesterday as he was about to leave on a trip with his GF, May you be as lucky as you can be, and have the performance that you would like to have, and twice the fun as a trip to WDW!!!

Hi Dan Murphy, I see your box and raise you...

Tigger Fans! might bring a jet ski, but then again, we might have a problem with a Lewski709

Great Idea about a DL meet, we went last year, there is one sit-down restaraunt in each park and they are talking about PS only in those... the Bayoo restaraunt inside POTC is cool...also, PS for Illuminattions is a must...

OK, I will go now...

Oh, and one more thing, RRBBdoes some things called Swaps on other (scrapbooking) websites. We call our home the Light Side, The DB is the Dark Side, those sites are the Expensive Side...At any rate, one person decides to hold a swap, everyone sends enough of something for 1 of each to everyone to the host(ess) and an envelope to return back (with postage so that the host doesn't have all of the expense) so when everything arrives, the items are divied up, and everyone gets back one of each items. For Example, I might get Techie Pins, Nephosaurus might get 20 Wonka Bars, etc....

What do you think? I could volunteer to host it (or better yet convince RRBB to...)

Just thought I would pop back in to say good night as it is 1am here!!
I'll catch up with all the night time gossip tomorrow.
