The Tagliarchy Mansion

$15 would be fine by me (i just converted it to check) after all it is just a one off. Either type of exchange would be fine by me, just let me know what to do and where to send it.

Afternoon everyone!

I'm in for this exchange thingy. Never done one, just tell me what to do & where to send. $15 is OK by me, but whatever works for everyone else.

Well, after the birthday party last night, we think Ella may make a fine Linebacker (possibly for the University of Notre Dame). One time, she charged Lainie from behind & took her straight to the floor. She is one tough cookie. She is so cute though, & she just loves Lainie so much. She just can't control the love!

Kismetdreams, have a safe trip to Florida. Good Luck on your big day!

Lewski709, Bichon Barb, & whoever else might be there. I'd love to meet you at PI, but I don't know if you want me around since I don't know nothing about no bon diggity dance.

geffric, I am impressed by your hiking abilities! Did you have a little chocolate in your pocket to help you through the tough parts?

Have a great day everyone!

OK,

Option #1, We can do like an exchange with a $15.00-$20.00 limit, but that is usually done at holiday time. I like the Idea of a secret Elf Holiday gift program, RRBB did something like that, and since she was a participant, she asked me to pick who is who's secret elf (actually I think that one was Secret Sister). I didn't know the people, so I chose based on the profile sheets that they all sent out. I think 1 girl flaked out, but the rest had no problems. Again, this is a good holiday season type of thing because you don't know who your secret Elf is until you reveal yourself. As far as security goes, only the organizer gets all of the addresses, so you really are only giving your address to 2 people (the organizer and your secret partner).

Option #2, A Floating Gift Basket...Someone starts out sending someone else a gift, that person sends another one on to the next person, who takes out/puts in. What I don't like about this is that there is no real way to know who gets what and where the basket will go next. Security wise, everyone will have to get the address of the next person on the list, and will have to have access to other names. It seems like it is similar to Option 1, but more time consuming, and no definite path. Good thought, but a little bit of a logistical nightmare.

Option #3, a swap. I think this is a good place to start. If we have 14 people signed up, then everyone sends 14 items to the host. Usually, these items are small, and not really expensive. I would propose a post-card from your local state, something representative of your state, and something personal. I would not exceed $1-$3 so the cost of the package would be $15-$45. You will get back a complete set (it is easier on the host to package them all the same, but I don't mind the extra effort of personalizing each package.) Again, this is something small so we have a little momento of our time together...

Again, I would say for the first one, let's do something small where everyone who wants to can participate and get something from everyone else. We might do a secret Pal swap later on in the year. Those are really fun from what I have seen.....

I am up for whatever is decided, and I will humbly offer to do the work.

:bounce:

Good afternoon..

count me in on the exchange thing whatever it is...
Danauk can we ask you to send CABURY chocolates since we can't get them here??? The little packages of the hot chcolate would be super and hopefully not expensive..

ibouncetoo I will be on the Boy Scout 20 mile hike on the weekend of the DIS Chicago meet...

Deadheadbelle I brough my homemade chocolate chocolate chip brownies and I shared them with all of the Scouts..

Happy B'day to Dan

back to laundry and cleaning.. i'll check back later

Option 3 sounds great to me. Thanks for offering to host ohanafamily.
geffric thats just what I was thinking. We can get bags of treat sized different chocolates so perhaps a few different varieties of cadbury's chocolates could be sent your way. Perhaps some hot chocolate sachets too. I could think of a surprise to send too.:teeth:
I can't believe you guys can't get cadbury's chocolate

We can get Cadbury Chocolate, but yours is better over there...different factory...

This has got me thinking, I wonder if there are cadbury's bars we get over here that you do not which I could send. Perhaps if I list a few you could let me know if you get them:
snow flakes, flakes, mini eggs, crunchies, buttons, cadbury's caramel, time out, fudge, dream, twirl, wispa and dairy milk (thats all I can think of for now!!)
:wave2:

Oh well I'm off to join the transatlantic chat for a while.

Options #1 or #3 sound good to me. If we did #3, the items could not weigh too much or take up too much room, right? And would we all give ohanafamily money for shipping? That would be fun from the standpoint of getting a little something from everyone. Option #1 is fun too because it is more personalized.

Like I said, either way.

DHB, I don't know nothin' 'bout that dance either. Actually, I don't know nothin' about any dancin' whatsoever. :bounce: What kind of clubs do they have a PI these days anyway. Adventurer's Club, right? The 70's club 8 Trax? Do they still have the Neon Armadilla? I know ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about country music. Ignorance is bliss. :teeth: ;)

Hey everyone!

OK, I don't know if any of you are Basketball fans (well, I know Barb is), but the NCAA tournament starts this week & I started a Tagliarchy Challenge bracket at CBSSportsline. If any of you want to join in, PM me your email & I will send you an email invitation. You don't really have to know anything about basketball to play & it is really fun.

I love dancing Bichon Barb either in clubs or on the stage (I am in a theatre company and dance in musical shows.) I don't know much about country music though. More a pop, rock and classical music girl myself.

Is it just me or are the Boards slow today?

I'll play - exchange thingie<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/23/23_20_55.gif' border=0></a>, NCAA thingie<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/18/18_8_8.gif' border=0></a>, whatever, I'll play. GattiTown was all that it was expected to be. We had a good time. Daniel has good taste in friends.<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/7/7_1_112.gif' border=0></a> I've always been proud of his selections. Hope it stays that way. And I especially hope when he starts picking girlfriends he has the same good taste.<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/7_1_54.gif' border=0></a>

I'm going to zone out in front of the TV for a bit<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/7/7_1_111v.gif' border=0></a>. See you guys tomorrow!:wave2:

Been away for a few days and as usual you guys have been chatting it up. :happy1: I'm not sure what's going on, so I'll have to get caught up. I had an interesting weekend with the family-in-law (you know, if it was legal here). And by "interesting" I of course mean "stressful." I may tell you all about it tomorrow...I'm sure you can't wait. As for now, I've been in the office since about 1:00 trying to get some things done so I don't feel guilty when I leave this week.

And...speaking of leaving... :hyper:

HEY! Look at my new counter! Isn't it cool?!?! :cool2: :cool1: I can't wait. I am so ready to go! :moped:

geffric I really appreciate you timing your trip so you can stop by and help us unpack a few boxes! ::yes::

OMG HuggaBaloo, the big move is almost here. You know if I could swing it I'd be there to help you unpack. (Anything to get close to WDW you know. ;))

I love the way ohanafamily says he'll volunteer to coordinate/host our little swap when I know what he really means is I'll take care of it. :hyper: Really I don't mind, in fact I'd love to, but it's just funny to me.

Okay, no more time to respond right now. ohanafamily caught me on the computer when I'm supposed to be finding stuff for taxes. (Don't like the dirty look he's giving me.)

Later...

Danauk Have you seen the new(as of last summer) Cadbury bars with tiny round biscuits...if not, run to the nearest store and try one now....trust me, they are heavenly....I brought about 50 bars home with me last summer and the customs agent looked shocked when he opened my bags:eek:...another scene from the life of a chocoholic

HuggaBaloo Good luck with your move......can't believe it's only a week away

I'm keeping my 13 month old nephew tonight and am soooo excited....apparently he's had trouble sleeping so it looks like it's going to be a long one.....:upsidedow

cadburysmom You mean biscuit areos? Yes I have tried them (and the mint ones too!). Can you not get them in the USA? If you send me a PM I could send you more. Have you tried a snowflake? They are heavenly, white chocolate flake chocolate coated in milk chocolate!!!! I could send you some of them too. I'll tell you one thing you guys get that I wished we did - orios! I love them but we don't have them. As for orio mcflurries that I had in McDonalds last year!!!!

Hey HuggaBaloo I'll happily hop over 'the pond' to help you move! Again anything to get near WDW (or the USA even.)

Hi Guys, I'm back! Had a great, relaxing weekend. Didn't sleep much but it was fun to stay up all night with friends.

So, what did I miss??? Looks like we will be looking for a new home quite soon. Who's picking??

Well it's late here and I have to be up for work tomorrow. Have a good evening everyone. I'll catch up with you guys after work tomorrow.:wave2:

Oh good Lord these boards are slow! Ugh, I was going to put a smilie in there but it's taking too long. @(#&@!

DHB, I sent you a PM with my work e-mail address. I'm in for the NCAA board. Syracuse plays BYU on Thursday. Can't wait.

Hopefully the boards will be less painful tomorrow.

HB, I can't believe you are moving in a week. I guess we'll be seeing you at the October meet. Right????????

Danauk, I had an oreo Blizzard from Dairy Queen yesterday! (Don't tell the Atkins police).

I'd be glad to trade you Oreo's for a sample of that chocolate/biscuit/bar you and cadburysmom were just talking about.....especially the MINT ones!
If you want to do that, just PM me and we'll work out the exchange.

Have a good Sunday night everyone......catch 'ya on the flip side!
