DHB, if you are a dispatcher, does this mean that you get to tell everyone where to go? :teeth:

OK, right now I'm mad at everybody. Well not everybody, but a whole bunch of people.

First off, yes I work with DH, but I would like to hand in my resignation effective immediately.

This morning a builder called and there was a problem that needed to be fixed. DH doesn't like to get trouble calls during the day, he has asked that I wait until he's home and then he'll deal with it. So I didn't tell him. The builder called again and asked when he was coming because they had to turn the water off at this house and it is occupied. So I had to call him in the middle of the day and tell him.

He went through the roof. Not because I called him in the middle of the day, because I didn't call him before it started raining as this problem is outside and now he will have to get muddy. Also, he said I told him it wouldn't rain until late in the day and it's been raining since about noon. So he blames me for the bad forecast, which I took straight from the Weather Channel.

Next person I'm mad at - DFIL, DH's dad. He's supposed to pick up Holly from school today. He didn't. Poor baby was sitting there all alone. Apparently DMIL was supposed to let me know that he couldn't get her today, but she didn't. Mark her down on my you-know-what list.

I've had it. I'm feeling both flattened and ticked off at the same time. I better go before I type something I regret.

Given your day AND your husband's childish temper tantrum, I strongly advise that you announce that you will either order in dinner, or better yet, he is to take you out.

Although Joe and I don't work together, sometimes one or both of us have bad days. It happens to the best of us. Having a lazy dinner never fails to make us unwind and unclench.

Sorry you're having a tough day! Bill (aka the Prince of Darkness) sends a fat butted tail wag and some sloppy dog licks! Trust me. It works like a charm. Almost as good as pixie dust! LOL!

RickinNYC you will really enjoy the backflashes of the era's in the entrance. I was found there gazing several times. The arcade was very cool too. My DS enjoyed it a lot and I can't resist a game or two. One I played was like virtual boxing where you pick up these weighted things that go on your hands it tracked you by your steps on a mat that was action sensored. It was so cool.....try it. I can really see you getting a bang out of it and Joe just rolling his eyes at how dumb you are being in a kids arcade. :p I was sore the next day though. It was quite a workout and I made it to round 3.

If you guys get to meet up in PI, go into the circulating bar and order a lifesaver, they are awesome.

Lewski709, that's one of the reasons why we want to check out Pop Century. We're bracing ourselves simply because we're "value" snobs. But we're really looking forward to seeing the exhibits, etc... Nothing gets Joe and I going when we see something and start with "HEY! I remember that! And that too! Hey, neat!..."

As for making a fool of myself in an arcade, that's Joe's department. Though I'm not shy in the slightest, Joe is the one who quickly jumps into something and starts the public humiliation thing. We're a good match 'cause when it's one or the other, we point and laugh.

Certainly! I'll let you know which wall I'll be up against so you can come get me and start introducing me to all the people you met on your way from the entrance! :teeth:

BTW, good call on splitting your stay IMHO. We stayed at Pop Century for 6 nights when we went in January and, as much as we enjoyed it, we were both sort of sick of it by the last few nights. We had tried to get the last 2 nights at WL, AKL or POR, but because it was MLK weekend, we were out of luck. I'm sure you'll have a blast...especially if you get to meet me, you know, since I'm the life of the party and everything!

Actually, the more I learn about everyone here, the more I want to meet you all. I think we would all have such a great time together! ::yes::

That's ok big fella, I'll show you a good time! And for the record, Joe is incredibly, stupendously friendly. He loves to hear my DIS stories and really likes to meet my online friends.

As for having DIS meet, I offer the Big Apple! Everyone come on over and I'll show you around the big city!

Good evening everyone,
How has everyones day been? Mine has been OK. I have an inspector in tomorrow to watch my maths lesson so I have spent this evening planning my lesson thoroughly so it should be OK. However it is something I could do without!! I guess I better dash now as I need to mark my kids history books before bed. Sorry I haven't been posting much this week but I am really busy with work things :teacher:

Have a good evening.

Hi all,

llebrekniT, PD to you!!! Your DH should come home, shower, change, and take you out to dinner. It doesn't matter where, just someplace where you can both unwind...

HuggaBaloo, we will be there at the end of May...Maybe we can see you then?

RRBB has made it to Nashville... Rikku, should I tell her to call you? (or anybody else in that area?

She is at this moment practicing for tomorrow night...Nieceosaurus has her pretty purple dress, and will hopefully be sitting on their table in front of the crystal ball...NOT Nephosaurus's, she made one that flashes scrapbooking pictures... It is really cool...

Oh well, gotta get back to work...

:bounce:

It was REALLY nice of RickinNYC and ohanafamily to offer to babysit so that you and your hubby could go out and have a nice dinner, relax and unwind..

page 2 will never do.....

Goodnight my buds!! <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_8_2.gif' border=0></a>

llebrekniT Tons of PD to you. It makes you just want to

or else

.

Lewski709, did you ever get your problem solved, or do I need to find that file location for you...My head is a bit dizzy, can't smile. Nothing good...No RRBB...

OK, I guess I should stop pining; I just went out to dinner with my mom, and part of the conversation was about how I don't get along with my eldest brother. I told her that I constantly try, but there are times when he steps on me that I have to defend myself. He views me as stupid, and incompetent. I try not to have the same view of him, but there are times. My DW has had moments that she wanted to do nasty things to him, but he is Ohana...Family. I do not want to stoop to his level. I was a little mean back to her, she told me that I must really miss Robin. I said does it show? She told me that I am not usually this excitable. Hence another reason I clam up when the dinner discussion turns to my family, or work as well...OK, I am missing her. I admit it.(15 page long rant edited for space)

Does anybody live near Nashville who would like to see her perform? I am not sure about arranging a Dis Meet at her CKU!!!

HuggaBaloo, I thought you wanted to trade in your artifact for something else... What can I get for you?!? Also, We have lots of stuff planned at the end of May, but we might be able to find time to get together (non-work hours...

llebrekniT, I would be more than happy to babysit, but I DO NOT DO DIAPERS. If they are Potty Trained, no problem. Also, if you post your picture again, I will shrink it for you. As long as it is a picture you took, I have no problems modifying and posting it for you. If it is on a website, then I don't want to risk reposting copyrighted material. (It comes with the degree in Computer Science)

Oh, work was OK today, I pretty much avoided the other guy, and things may cool down. I do love my job, and well, as I posted in another thread...He has a sex problem. I will leave the rest to your overactive imagination. Furthermore, regarding that lawsuit that I may get called in on, the guy doing the maintenance ran a virus-scan on the backup of her drive. he found several files that looked like pornography in a strange place. He brought the list in (this was right after I blew up, and before the meeting yesterday morning) and showed it to this other guy, and our boss. I said that it needs to be checked out before we start saying that she was downloading porn. Well, I took the list, called Mcafee support, and asked them if Hotmail can load the files in without clicking on the open button. I was told "Hotmail can't, but if she opened an innocent looking file, it would download all of these files to the hard drive. It was ..... Virus, and she probably wasn't surfing for porn. When I explained this to my boss, well, he asked me if I was a lawyer now with what kind of evidence would be acceptable. It seems like even if I show conclusively that they are not doing due diligence, they still look at me like I don't know what I am talking about. It is funny. They won't admit it to save their lives, but they know that they need me.

Sorry for the work and Brother and pining rants...

:bounce:

ohanafamily, :grouphug: . Hang in there. Remember, you can rant here anytime. I wish I was closer to Nashville, I'd love to meet RRBB.

Ok, I think your ideas about my brother taking llebrekniT out to dinner for being such an *** are so sweet, but it ain't gonna happen. He's just like my dad, never wrong. Even if he is, he rarely admits it.

Welp, I'm off to bed.

Good evening everyone! Sounds like some days have been tough; PD to you all!

You have sent so much PD to me, now it is time for me to send you some!

I am still the same. I enjoy visiting her and getting some yummy food and laugh a lot! Laughter is good medicine!

Well, my pain meds have made me very sleepy. <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_8_3.gif' border=0></a> Gotta hit the hay before I can't walk up the stairs! TTFN!

Thanks for the PD, and I would bill it more as,
Honey, I love you so much, we have both had such a hard day, do you think we could get away, go out for dinner, and relax away from work? I am sure we could find a sitter for the kids, and we so need snuggle time. you have no idea how upset I was by the whole situation. Please Honey, just hold me and remind me of how very much we love each other. I just need to look into your eyes and be your soul mate!
In other words, guilt trip from heck without telling him off....

Also, Someone else posted it first about the Dinner...I forget who, but I totally agree. When two people love each other as much as they do, sometimes they need some time to remember the love. Getting away from work (especially if work is at home) and from daily obligations every once in a while can be a great way to keep from cracking.... I still love her story about how they knew it was right above and beyond what anyone else said.

I am such a romantic... Anybody care to hazard a guess as to how many times a day I tell RRBB I love her? I never really counted...

What a day.....I've missed being on the DIS!

But now that I've finally read all your posts......

ohanafamily It's a terrible thing to feel underappreciated at work....and with no RRBB home to give you hugs and kisses.....that's definitely a double whammy!:(

....and about your brother, I have one of those too and can definitely relate:mad:......you have my sympathy

llebrekniT So sorry for your bad day.....should've driven to North Carolina.....I had a gift certicate for The Melting Pot that expired today and definitely would have given it to you......I lOVE the Melting Pot....especially the dessert fondues.....ended up going with a good friend and we had a blast....but of course, it would've been much funner if you could've been there too! Maybe next time.......

Bichon Barb Glad to hear your DH is better...when do we get another picture?;)

DS9 and I might make a quick 4 nt trip to WDW the week between Palm Sunday and Easter......but I'm wondering if it will be too crowded.......don't want to wait until summer when it's sooo hot......I haven't been since 1998, been cruising each year on the Disney Magic instead, but after reading these boards, I just gotta do WDW again!!

Well it's late and I desperately need my beauty sleep.

Goodnight and sweet dreams to my TAGLIARCHY friends!

Oh yeah, and about the celebrity I miss the most.......I agree with AZKathy.... I really miss Karen Carpenter....her songs still really touch the heart.....it's like you feel her pain...and she feels yours....kinda eerily beautiful

s&ksmom....I'm a BIG fan of TCM channel too, I especially love how Robert Osborne introduces each movie with the interesting little facts you never knew......they just don't make 'em like they used to, and NO commercials.......enough said.......

Now I REALLY got to hit the hay, too late for beauty sleep, maybe I'll just wear a bag over my head tomorrow!

Nighty night!:faint:
