The Tag Fairy

:confused3 It sounds like you live out this way!! :confused3 A Tag Fairy would have to be pretty hardy to hang around out our way! We have bears, coyotes, foxes, gophers, eagles, hawks, the neighbor's dogs.....little critters have to be able to move pretty fast and hide very quickly! :rotfl:

we have coyote problems during the spring and summer here.

yikes, my cats are completely declawed, all 4 of them...............i think the squirrel might win if he was in my house.

last year a bird flew in our house and we trapped it in the bathroom.
forgot the cat was in there too (litterbox).
when the door was opened the cat won, bird lost.
she knocked it unconscious.......

our cats have never been outside except for the car ride to the vet.

Hmmmmm....kitty had a good snack that day! :teeth:

People think we are mean 'cause we have outside cats. :guilty: DS & I have allergies and DH has 'cleanliness issues'....but we hate to make the kids go without pets! It teaches them compassion to have animals around! It's funny....we like to think our cats are all happy cats 'cause the whole crowd all come running up to the house to be petted or fed when they hear the front door open! :rotfl:

just call me neurotic...........i would fret the entire time if my babies roamed the streets. always kept the kitties inside to ruin the inside of the house when they were babies..............

growing up, my cats always went outside but when the kids were little, made the cats more like people and kept them inside to be pets for my littles then.

wonder if the tag fairy likes fur babies? :cat: :cat:

I only live about 12 miles northeast of Pittsburgh, but next to a heavily wooded area (hope it doesn't get developed anytime soon)...have the best of both worlds, except we're not within an easy drive of Orlando LOL.

One huge problem we have is hunters too close to the homes...if I can see them from my porch in a densely treed area, they're too close; especially with today's high powered rifles. The land is owned by a ultility company & posted, but we get a few each year. Somewhat disconcerning to see a guy in camo with a rifle 30 feet from your front door. We don't let the dogs out much the first day of deer, even though they're fenced in. No sense tempting one of the eager beavers.

When I was a child, back in the dark ages, if you didn't let the cat out @ night, you didn't sleep...they liked to prowl and would bring all sorts of things back in the morning (usually w/o their heads)!

Perhaps we should send out a pack of mousers :cat: :cat: :cat: :cat: :cat: :cat: ..."okay, Fairy, a tag or your head!".;)

:rotfl: We are on 24 acres, surrounded by farm land. In the Fall, hunters run around here after the birds/fowl. We get Canadian Geese flying over and there are "ponds" on some of the farms that geese and ducks migrate to. We hear shooting year 'round out here.....but, very seldom can see the shooters. Too bad we don't have a 'shooting smilie' so we can flush out a Tag Fairy here or there! :smooth:

24 acres - hope you don't have to cut the grass! We puff out our chests because we have a "big" lot, almost 1/3 acre. LOL Not sure if our whole town consists of 24 acres. You've got a fife-dom! Even the farms around us are small, 10 acres is considered a huge one.

::yes:: That's it!!! We'll offer the Tag Fairy a break from the Orlando hustle & bustle, choice of:

"Almost heaven, 24 acres of solitude" or

"Squirrel City, feeling nutty ".

Complimentary  's included.:cool1:

We have a few head of cattle....they "mow" pretty good....nothing gets too high around our place! :rotfl:

I wonder if the TAG FAIRY would be interested in mingling among the cattle as opposed to the squirrels!?

Squirrel - the other white meat!

As for mingling amoung the cattle, don't think the Fairy would want to get down & dirty...more of a celestial creature IMO.:cool1:

Yep....good point!

I've never eaten squirrel. But, they have to be "neater" than cattle!! :rotfl:

 Alrighty then, we'll offer the Tag Fairy an all-you-can-eat-buffet, comprised of all the :

squirrels

cattle

&

 's
she can eat. Perhaps the way to her heart is thru her stomach...even fairies eat. She's gotta be tired of Mickey Bars, turkey legs & dole whips.

i'm sure if you remove the fur first, squirrel would be tasty.

it tastes like chicken

dole whips......i get so sick and tired of everyone talking about dole whips.

my brother lives in hawaii and i went to visit him there.
went to the dole plantation for their tour and had the best dole whip on this side of earth.......nothing can compare to it.

tried the dole whip at disney and yuck................
once you've had the real thing, nothing matches up to it.

OH MY GOSH! I love the Dole Whips at WDW....if the ones at the Plantation are even better, I can't imagine how good they must be!! :scared1: Hmmmm...I am sure the TAG FAIRY could be easily bribed with a REAL pineapple whip!! With a banana hanging off the side of the cup...

A true confession (ta-ta-daaaah!): never tasted:

* a Mickey bar (not to crazy about chocolate coated ice cream);

* Dole Whip (although I could force myself to go to Hawaii & taste a real one);

* Squirrel (but I watched my DM eat frog legs over the years - which she sez tastes just like chicken:eek: )

Oh the shame of it all, guess it's time to hang my head and slink slowly off into the night, dreaming of Mickey waffles & turkey legs.

i had a mickey bar when i was in disneyworld but never again.

it was hot that day, very hot..........
most of the chocolate on that ice cream bar fell off and landed on my clothes.

tried to wash it off in the rr but noooooooo, chocolate stains.

after that fiasco, i stuck with bottled water.
a true story........
