The story some of you have been waiting for.

This story is such a joke. Am i the only one that finds it MORE time consuming to STUFF the items into the stroller than to just DROP them onto the shelf, floor whatever!? and run after your child????? If ANYTHING I would rather pay for merchandise that i dropped on the floor and broke, if i had to take off after my CHILD that ran away?!?!?

Moms fault, it's that simple.

NEXT, NEVER EVER EVER would security haul someone away IN FRONT of everyone!?! they would just escort them VERY discreetly (former CM here!).

too wierd...oh and what's the first part of the 'story' have to do with the ending?!? sooo confused!

Thank God....I was getting cold sweats wondering when this story will appear, I was so looking forward to it.

Unfortunately I am not buying this story as it is not very logical or thought out. UMM do you really have to post bail when you are arrested for shopping lifting, c'mon. Do you think jails really have nothing better to do than use up space holding shoplifters that stole a mug?? Not to mention the dozens of other holes in your story.

Please take your crazy stories elsewhere we have plenty of them here already.

That was Eric (ECurto) and the magic shopping bag story. :cool1:
Oh, that was a fabulous story.

I've learned my lesson. Don't shoplift in Disney and you won't get arrested. :rotfl:

I think we are giving her what she was looking for attention. I'm sorry but this is absurd. The only lesson I have learned is don't steal and don't make exuses if you do. I would hope a mother would have already known that.

Okay....STOP! This "story" did not happen. Head of WDW security is a *personal friend* of mine and I forwarded this thread to her to read. Again, DID NOT HAPPEN. :sad2:

OKAY...can I just ask...why do people waste all our time with stories like this...I just found this thread and instantly thought of ecurto as well and we have never heard from the dude AGAIN. And his SO was a NYC Police Officer.... :confused3 who LOST HIS JOB as a result of this.... :confused3

Back to THIS story....

IF and only IF this is true....they have had that little one for 4 years now, and I am sure the mom has been in the same situation before BUT should BY NOW, have the habit of placing items BACK on a shelf (any shelf) so she does not leave the store with any unpaid items.......... :confused3 in attempts to go after her son.

Also, if said items were so hidden in the stroller....I am going to guess that WDW was watching them....with alllllll the # of people in those gift shops...they must have looked a tad bit suspicious..... :confused3

Sorry, OP, I have to agree with the posters who have said this story is FULL OF HOLES. :sad2:

But as others have said...DO NOT STEAL...at WDW or ANYWHERE! :sad2:

ETA..........CLASSIC :teeth: :thumbsup2

Remember the cardinal rule of making up a story - keep it simple!

In slight defence of the OP, for those wondering why she worded her title to this thread "The story some of you have been waiting for" is because she had alluded to an "arrest story" in her previous threads about her trip and many posters were asking that she post the story. Since it's not a Theme Parks Board type thread, the mods moved it here to the CB.

I still don't buy that arrest story, but people here DID ask her to tell it, so she did!

first of all I have put of doing my trip report due to my mixed emotiins going on right now and because My grandmother died 3 days after returning home from our vacation...

My family and I were shopping on Mainstreet picking up suvioniers. We had been in the store for quite awhile, children kept chainging minds. The Family day parade was passing by and caught the attention of my four year old who was sitting down in the rented MK strooler. He got up and started running towards the door to see I sent him back to give Dad the mug with trinkets in it. Now we know that he put in the cup holder on the back or stroller.

While out side son wanted autograph on the town mayor who was there and then asked to ride buzz. called husband on cell phone and we decided iwould take him and 17 year old to ride while he and daughter shopped somemore since he was having better luck with getting some realistic gifts for her friends. She started with $50 gifts for 6 different friends!

Husband left store and was headed towards the castle to meet up with us and called and asked if he should go back and pick up another suvioner blanket, we agreed x-mas present for someone. Next thing I know he calls saying that orange county police were taking him away and one officer was escorting my 12 yr old towards where i was.

we were tolld to go to city hall. i arrived there and nobody could offer me any help as to locating my husband and finding out what on earth was going on.

finally after demanding someto come and explain something to me I had two officers come out tell me to leave my children by the parade route and follow them.... down the middle of the parade route with one officer in front and one in back.

they allowed my husband when we reached him give me his weeding bands and wallet and gave me a map to orange county prison where i could bail him out in3 hours with $500. 18 hours later I had him back. we have a court date in dec...much more to tell but that is the short of it

Mind you I have been to Disney 18 times..My adult bedroom is all mickey..my tattoo that took 40years to get the nerve to due is a custom mickey...I'm crushed..we were going to buy time share at disney...

Was the judge there too to set the bail?

Leave your children by the parade route and follow them? Did I read that right?

I am not an Attorney nor a Judge...but the bottomline, MOMMAMOUSE, is items were taken from the Disney Store that were not paid for...PERIOD.

I am sure you will have your day in Court and explain all this to the Judge that day.

I will certainly say it is a tough lesson for all in your family.

As far as being "crushed"...this was NOT Disney's fault at all. Your family left the store with items that were not paid for (sorry if I am repeating myself)...and hopefully, you will explain to your children that this can happen at ANY STORE IN ANY TOWN IN ANY STATE if you leave an establishment without paying.

Someone from the DIS has to have been there waiting for the parade to witness her being escorted down the parade route by two policemen. Right?

I'm smelling that smell too.

Her oldest son is 17 years old. I am sure he watched her DD and younger DS!
:thumbsup2

Notice the walking up the parade route while the parade is going on outside...kind of tought to do that.

Not to mention all the misspellings, improper grammar, etc. Must have taken a lot of effort to do that, I'd say.

Now I'm really confused - you were shopping, 4 y.o. ran to the door to see parade and you sent HIM back with the items? Did you stay by the door then? Wouldn't you just take him by the hand and return to shopping?
