I have the Sketcher Go Walks and love them. I find them very comfy and can stand and walk in them all day. I have a pair of New Balance too that I have worn in the past. They were good too.
OMGeeeee!!!! That swimwear!!!! I love it! I want it! Soooo cute!!!! And the matching glasses... Pitter-patter goes my heart!!!
I love the little gifts... I am such a tightwad... I've never done that for my girls... I tell them that they get the trip - that's their gift. LOL But when we went when they were little, we didn't know a thing about Disney trips... So - we missed out on a lot of this fun stuff. Can't wait for grandkids for this very reason (well, I can wait - but you know what i mean.)
As for park shoes... YOu know this is an addiction for me right? Well, just shoes in general... Yah - small (ahem ~ big) problem... I used to have really, really, really bad feet - but the smaller I get, the less problems I have - which is good. My favorite shoes of all time ~ still~ are my Orthaheel Tide flip flops - I know you don't do flip flops - but these have such great support in them... The arch is super high and it does take a bit of getting used to, but I wear them day in and day out - rain or shine or snow in the house... And all summer/spring/fall outdoors, as well. I seriously believe that these shoes have "cured" my Plantar Fascitis. In other news... Also my Aisics... I've had to try on several different models within their brand - but they do have good arch support if you can find the right ones. I have not tried any of the others you've mentioned. My latest addiction though - Converse... But they have NO support at all - so I don't recommend those. I've been known to carry a spare set of shoes (usually my flip flops on days when I am wearing *not as good of shoe* - like my Converse) in the parks, so I can do a quick shoe change if necessary. I also carry my inserts, because just by changing out inserts, it makes the shoe feel different on your foot - so if you are having rub issues, it's usually enough to trick your foot into thinking you've changed your shoes.
LOL
I hope I didn't bore you to death.
D~
Love that you are starting Zoe's trip off with a princess breakfast! I'm sure she will be thrilled. I wasn't aware that the photo with Belle was gone. That is kind of disappointing.
Ack! That goodie bag is perfect. So many fun items! I especially love the key to the kingdom. What a great idea!
Sorry I don't have any personal advice on shoes (I wear flip flops most of the time in the summer) but I have repeatedly seen great posts about the Go Walk shoes but again I haven't tried them.
Where did you find these? I've been on the hunt! Two Princess nightlights (one for each room in the suite)
Well, most easter bunnies are all kinda terrifying!she flat out sat as far as she could from the Easter Bunny this year (but he was kinda scary looking!)
Check target's easter section. I would have sworn I saw some there. (Though it may be super picked over at this point.)Ok, I have not found Minnie Lip Gloss yet, but still looking
Hi there!! I'm late to the party but reading along!!! Can't wait to hear how the trip goes after all that planning!!
If I could throw in a few shoe rec's that are slightly different: Hoka One One Bondi, Altra Olympus or Provision. They're fantastically comfortable shoes that seem to work very well with flat feet and pronation issues. The Hokas are SUPER padded and feel like walking on clouds. I wish I could wear them, but my feet are waaaay too wide. I have feet problems that cause me to have to practically do a phd thesis worth of research before buying shoes, so I look into a lot of brands that aren't as typical as Nike/Reebok/New Balance.

Hi, Lynn!
It sounds like you have a really fun vacation planned!
Minus a few days of flip flops, I always wear tennis shoes in the parks. My favorite two brands that work well for me are New Balance and Asics. I have a pretty decent arch, but I keep going back to these two shoes. Good luck in the shoe hunt!
I'm so excited that you're going to Akershus! I really enjoyed it when we went in 2012 - so much so that we're planning to go again this year! The eggs, bacon, and coffee were especially good here, and I LOVED the cold buffet. The fruit was fresh, there was a variety of meats and cheeses, and I'm counting the days until I can have another bagel with lingonberry cream cheese. (I'm sure the fact that I'm Scandinavian has nothing to do with it...)
I believe Belle still greets you at Akershus and you can still get a picture - the only thing they removed was giving you a physical print. The picture can be added to Photopass or you can give the photographer your own camera.![]()
So I tried on the Sketchers GoWalk3s tonight. They are good, but will not be my number one shoe. I did order a pair, as a secondary shoe for the trip. They are comfy, just don't have enough support for lots of wear. Thinking these will be my wear around the resort after a park day shoe (I can't go barefoot). I also ordered a pair of Saucony Stabil CS3...I have not tried these on yet, but they appear to be made for my feet...we shall see.
It will probably be Saturday night/Sunday morning before I can post Day 5 plans!
So, I normally kennel my two dogs while I am away from the house. The one in my avatar is an Anatolian Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix that takes his job of protecting the house and us very seriously. So I was talking with a friend who works at my retail job. She works full time at as a Vet assistant and part time in retail with me. I asked her how she would feel about dog/house sitting, as my house would be closer than her house to both her jobs. She said she would love to! I explained that it all depends on how Dunkin (the doc in the picture) and Kaylee (a Plott Hound/Jack Russell Terrier Mix...we think) will react to her. So last night was her first time meeting them. Normally if someone comes in the house Dunkin is always on alert and will usually immediately growl/snarl at the person (we avoid putting him in these positions if at all possible and he does not do this anywhere else but at the house). Well, we have decided to call her the Dog Whisperer Fairy instead of the Pirate Fairy (our usual nickname for her). Because this dog LOVED her. He even exposed his belly to her for a rub (I am usually one of the few people he will do that with consistently). So we still have a long way to go to make this work, but we will be coordinating schedules so she can come spend a few hours at least once a week at the house to get him used to her being around. This would be so awesome if it works out and will save me lots of money!
Whoo hoo!!!
Will try to get a real update Sunday, but can't make any promises since my little one (okay, he is 21) will be home for the week (and he has not been home since last August!)
Have a great Easter if I do not get back on here!
Lynn
