The Sopranos final episodes (SPOILERS!!!)

I know I'm in the minority on this but I hate this season, these ending episodes have been such a disappointment so far.

What is going on with Vitos son? And why did he do that in the shower? for rebellion or to scare off the other kids. My favorite line from tonights show was when tony said "that he didnt like the way Italian Americans were depicted" in the film Cleaver. And I wonder if Renata was murdered maybe poisoned. I didnt get why AJs girlfriend broke up with him if she is pregnant.

If you watch the scene where the entire family is celebrating Carmella finally selling her house, you will see AJ's girl friend appear to be jealous. Especially when AJ tells her that the house was a mansion. You could see the look in her eyes. When AJ proposed to her, he went on talking about how hard he works for her and her son, working the night shift at the Pizza place and soon will be in charge of the day shift. He went on about one day owning his own restaurant and a bunch of night clubs. She knows who AJ is and who Tony Soprano is and what he does to afford the great lifestyle Tony lives. AJ's girlfriend could marry any guy working at a fast food joint in her crappy neighborhood, she's not looking for that, she's looking for a meal ticket. Remember, she's in charge of the payroll at that Union job site where Tony got AJ a job. She came up to and then came on to AJ, first and with reason. Just my opinion, but I think I'm right.:goodvibes

Can someone tell me al labout last night's episode pleas? I tivo'd it but I don't think I am going to get to watch it any time soon. Don't leave anything out!!! TIA!!!princess:

I'm thinking AJ's girlfriend left because either she knew that AJ was never going to get the status that she wants....or.... she knows who Tony is and what he is capable of doing and she wants nothing to do with that lifestyle.

pinnie

We are the most confused with Hesh's girlfriend - did Tony kill her? Did he bring the money at the and as kind of a "Screw you look what happens when you mess with me take your stupid money" gesture?

One special request from me for the last season:

BRING BACK FURIO FROM ITALY!!!!

I actually got bored and turned the channel during the show last night and I have never done that. I didn't get the whole gambling thing. Why bring that up now. Its never been an issue before. Are they trying to show a weakness in Tony?

I agree that the girlfriend broke-up with AJ because she saw $$$$ signs when she first met him and once she found out it wasn't going to be like that she cut out.

I think I disagree - I think :) - I've been thinking for awhile that she wanted out - but more because she's smart and she's sees trouble coming - she knows what trouble looks like and even though she does love AJ she just doesn't want any part of this family stuff. I think she is kind of anticipating things to come - a change in the wind for the Soprano family.

You could be right. I just remembered the strange look she gave when they were talking about the speck house and then how angry she looked when AJ was talking about all the work he was going to be doing. I guess we'll know in a few weeks!

Well, that's the thing. It never really had been an issue before. He always gambled a lot, but he had big earners and made lots of money. Now, not so much.

I think that's right on AJ and his girlfriend. Let's see if it turns out that she is pregnant after all.

You could be reading this better than me, but I thought the strange looks were more like "Your family is a piece of work! I can't be part of this!"

Even if you are right and it's just about money, I think she sees that no good is to come and she's got to cut her losses before you know what hits the fan.

I was thinking that AJ's girlfriend wanted out because she actually wants a mobster or someone mobster like. She looked jealous when Carmela was talking about the house and the couple's new baby.

Then, she seemed frustrated when AJ was talking about how fast he could move up at the pizza place. It looked to me like she was thinking "your Dad is Tony Soprano and you're going to support me by working at a pizza place."

Of course, I'm probably wrong but that's just the vibe I was getting.

I agree about Tony's gambling-Yawn. Tony is a smart man or he would have been killed a long time ago. He's discussed everything with his therapist and I've never heard of a gambling problem. A smart mafia don doesn't gamble like he was doing last night. This is a lame storyline. It seem like the writers figure it's the last season so they're scraping the bottom of the barrel for stories. It's very disappointing.

But the point is, as someone else pointed out, that the whole thing is falling apart. Like Hesh said - he's been living the big life so long. Without his big earners and with the whole system falling apart he's incapable of scaling down, so gambling probably seemed like a way to keep the money rolling in.

I don't think he has to be a gambling addict - just a guy who cannot let go. This is the kind of thing that would actually happen, I think.

I agree. I think when Blanca saw what AJ was made of (not going anywhere fast) she cut him off. She herself wants the life of Carmella Soprano, SAHM, big house, etc. That's what I got out of it anyway.

Me too. I'm trying so hard to enjoy it, but it's just so boring!

It's very different this season, but I think it has been written this way for a reason. It's spelling it all out for us....Tony's life, the way he knew it, is coming to an end.

I don't think anyone killed Hesh's wife, I think the stress got to her. Remember when Tony and Bobby stopped by and Hesh told the wife to go in the bedroom and lock the door? I don't think she could take it anymore.

I see something bad coming down the road with AJ. The preview for next week's episode showed AJ crying about Blanca. He's either going to commit suicide or do something very, very, stupid.

I thought he was afraid for her safety - he saw them coming and wanted her out of there!

I don't know, she looked like a young healthy woman to me - I don't remember hearing of any health problems or drug problems..... it was too all of the sudden, her death, and I think that the Sopranos is written too well to just have one of those deaths for no reason at this point in the story.

Oh I agree, he feared for their safety, no doubt.

I don't think we'll be hearing anymore about Hesh's wife. Sometimes the Sopranos is just like that, no further explanation. They leave us hanging in the wind.

I thought it was an odd episode, and it ended at 9:50, kind of early. :confused3

Most of the time this season I find myself asking DH "who's that?" I didn't remember Hesh and Renata and doubt that I'd find myself wondering what happened to them if they never appeared this season.

Last night just didn't do it for me.

I wasn't too thrilled with this episode either.
I'm not sure why AJ's girlfriend broke up with him. Like people said, it's either because she saw that AJ had no great aspirations or she just didn't want to be in a mobster family. I have a feeling we may never find out.
Also, why are they showing Vito's family? Who cares! They killed Vito off. Personally I would have loved for them to keep him on. I think it would have been really interesting to see how the others would have dealt with a homosexual capo. I really don't give two cents about Vito, Jr. taking a dump in the school shower.
Like another poster said, it really does seem like they're scraping the bottom of the barrel for story lines. It's a shame too. The first two seasons of the Sopranos is probably the best television I have ever seen and that's why I've stuck it out.

I just found last nights episode confusing, but now after reading the forum here, alot has been cleared up. They only have 5 episodes left, I hope they are alot better than last nights. The best part for me though is just watching Edie Falcos acting (when her and Tony were having the fight in their hallway) she is a really great actress. Nancy Sinatra looked a bit strange on the show too last night, I just dont know if it was too much makeup or not.
