The so-so trip..March madness is at WDW *Updated 7/27* Final thoughts

As the title suggests that is what we did. First we went by Japan.

Here is Vinny after our meet. He always complains about meeting people and then has a blast. He is shy.

Then we went onto Germany.

Snow and some Dwarves.

Then looking at the Germany pavilion.

Then we decided to go into.

And then we turned right around. YIKES!!!

After that mob we decided to look in the Christmas store.

Here are some of the ornaments.

Another tree.

My favorite characters from a movie. Belle does not look like Belle though.

Always happy to pose.

More trees.

More decorations.

Then as we left we walked through the Karamel place but still to busy.

I love this shirt.

Then we went to Norway. Say hello again.

I think I will stop here for now.

Up next,

A Vikings journey…

that shirt is great, ill have to look for that on a future trip.

OK Belle and Beast are scary looking. I think I'm happy I didn't notice them.

Vinny does like to pose. LOL

I wandered the same stores. I have never gotten anything from the candy store. Always way too mobbed.

I love the Christmas store in Germany but have yet to buy an ornament, I did buy that shirt for myself in October.

Haha - he sounds like Denny. He always complains about DIS meets too, but he always has a good time. Now I know I have to meet Vinny! ;)

I love the Christmas ornaments in Germany. They are all so pretty.

I love this shirt.

Me too! And I think I take a picture of it every time I see it. :rotfl:

That is a cool topiary!

Loved taking the stroll this morning!:thumbsup2

Oh I love those glass Mickey head ornaments.

Yikes the caramel store was crowded!! Of course the store is small to begin with.

Happy Friday Scott!:)

I am so laughing over the "what are you wearing" comment. :rotfl: John is kind of like Vinny on DisMeets. He's not too talkative going into them but then warms up to the idea about halfway into them.

Good gosh! The crowds in the caramel shop! :crazy2:

Nice Dismeet! That's great how Vinny became a social butterfly at the meet! :hippie:

That Belle ornament couldn't look more NOT like her - what big eyes she has! So odd that someone in merchandising thought it was perfectly fine to sell at WDW.

For that WS T-shirt - what represents Morocco? I can't tell what that is.

Looks like a lovely day at Epcot!!

Aren't they? I did not like it.
he does.
We did but that comes later in the trip.

I love the Christmas store in Germany but have yet to buy an ornament, I did buy that shirt for myself in October.
Me too but I like the one in DTD much better. Bigger I guess.
That is nice. it is a nice shirt.

I don't understand it. Just go with the flow I say. :rotfl2: Hopefully one day you will.
I think in December I will buy a pickle one.
:thumbsup2

Thanks.
It is a small store and disorganized i think.
It was Happy, I saw Iron Man 3. LOL. Happy to you too.

My kids love searching for the pickle ornament every year!

I could spend an hour in that Christmas shop!

Kathy
:thumbsup2
:rotfl2: I could but then would need a drink.

Love the pics! :)
Thank you

It must be shyness. :confused3 I guess I am so used to talking to everyone here I am used to it.
It was nuts in there. :crowded:

Nice Dismeet! That's great how Vinny became a social butterfly at the meet! :hippie:

Thank you.
he does that everywhere.
The other Princesses were off too. It was strange.
I have no idea what the drink there is. :confused3
it was.

My son went to see Iron Man 3 also yesterday. He thought it was good & better than the 2nd one.

DH & I will probably wait until it comes out on DVD.

After our visit to the movies we walked a little bit. Shall we start our tour.

Vinny wanted a pic in the car.

We did go into Writers Stop but I could not find anything I wanted in there so we left in search of something.

I love Good Morning America. Such a fun cast.

Next we saw the Streets of NY.

As you can see in the next pic there were no crowds here.

I would use them. LOL

This is not correct but anyway.

Looking back at where we were.

I love this sign. It just sounds so New Jersey. LOL. I think I have lost my NJ accent.

All of this walking around made us thirsty. LOL. Vinny suggested we have a drink. Who am I to argue.

I of course had to have a Margarita.
Grand Margarita - with Jose Cuervo Gold Tequila and Grand Marnier blended on the rocks $9.75

Vinny had a Pinot Grigio. I have no pic of his wine.
Wine by the Glass $6.95

The amount was $17.79

I would say by the time stamps we sat there for ½ hour just drinking and people watching. After we finished we moved on.

The Army men were just coming out.

Then I looked over and saw the Jack Sparrow show was getting ready to start.

Basically you go in and they tell you the story of Jack Sparrow. I will just say we both hated it and when we walked out we were asking why we did it. You stand the entire time which is actually short. The wait to get inside is longer than the show.

Here are some of the pics I took.

Then Jack Sparrow makes an appearance.

Then it is over. A waste of time in my opinion.

I think this is a good place to stop.

Up next,

I buy something and dinner.

I wish I would of read your review, ITA, 30 minutes of totally wasted time.

Ahhh ... that PINK Grey Goose Slushie. My favorite !! I only got to have two and I had to share those with DH. Next time I am getting my own. Maybe I will get two ... one for each hand.

I got to meet Lorrie on our Epcot day. I will post that update later today.

Susan

Finally able to check in here, its been a busy week! Scott it was just wonderful to meet you and Vinny and it did feel like old friends :grouphug: !

My sister had a ball with Vinny, she is even facebook friends with him now!

Funny how the two of them never had a drink where we managed to sip 3 or 4!! Slushies are my favorite anyway. Hope those pink ones stay around awhile. Our next meet we may have to actually have some dinner with our drinks!

Dismeets are the best. Love the pic of Vinny in front of the Christmas tree, that garland looks like arms about to grab him! Glad you found Curt's trip reports, how do you like them? maybe someday I will get motivated to write my own. :thumbsup2 Loving the report so far. Cant wait to hear how you made out with the spring break crowds towards the end of the week!

OK, finally all caught up! :thumbsup2

So much to comment on but I can't remember it all! :rotfl2:

I can't believe that the housekeeping staff at Kidani just tossed the linens on the bed. That is totally wrong!

We had great CMs and so much magic on our stay there, I'm sorry that yours was not good.

I liked the new Test Track, but I guess that's why people are different. I've never had to wait for Imagination either.

Your lunch at Coral Reef looked great. We've had hit and miss there too, last time was our miss, so maybe we should try it again. That lobster pasta looked really yummy!

So funny about Vinny and the butterflies! :rotfl:

We are planning a trip with two of our friends for next year during Flower and Garden, so I loved seeing your pics. I'll have to show some of them to our friends so they can see what a treat they are in for!

I love this shirt.

I love it too! So much that I bought one for myself on our Jan/Feb trip!!!

I'm glad I got all caught up before you finished!

There are certain movies that need to be seen on the big screen. :lmao:

Mine too. So good. I hope they keep it after the F&G.
Oh no, I do not share. :rotfl2:
That is great, Lorrie is a great person. We have become very good friends.

Yeah I saw they were friends.
I think the final count was 4 but I am not sure.
If you ever come to the city let us know we can meet for dinner one night.
I am about 1/2 through and enjoying them.
You should try it.

OK, finally all caught up! :thumbsup2

We thought so too.

We had great CMs and so much magic on our stay there, I'm sorry that yours was not good.
I cannot rule it out completely as Vinny is now saying it wasn't so bad. I swear he has issues.

I liked the new Test Track, but I guess that's why people are different. I've never had to wait for Imagination either.
I still think the outside is faster.

Your lunch at Coral Reef looked great. We've had hit and miss there too, last time was our miss, so maybe we should try it again. That lobster pasta looked really yummy!
If we go back I will have that again.

:rotfl2: I might next trip.

I'm glad I got all caught up before you finished!
Finishing will not be for a while.

Ok, caught up now.
Thank you, thank you , thank you, for your Epcot pictures. We did a tour in the morning, "Behind the Scene's Tour" at Epcot. We were so tired, hot after the tour, we just beelined from China to Italy to eat.

You know how you can be in a park and look, but not look carefully? That was us. We walked back and had FastPasses for Soarin, then we went to Guest Services and picked up our FastPass for any ride and we had got a VIP spot for Illuminations. We spent so much time in Future World. My dh also dragged me into Innovations East and did a 20 minute tour of the "house of the future" that was another 20 minutes of my life I can't get back. And we did Test Track twice. My dh loved the changes-ugg.

Enough...I am doing a trip report, just waiting for my PhotoPass Pics.
