The so-so trip..March madness is at WDW *Updated 7/27* Final thoughts

That meatloaf is HUGE! But it does look good. Making me hungry.

Loved China Doll, she completely stole the show.

I remember that meatloaf from last summer. My brother raved about how delicious it was.

Dinner and a movie works for me.....followed by a secret DIS meet complete with wine. Sounds like a winner!

You guys are ever so popular!!! Do you have a waiting list for Diser's to get together with you guys at WDW?? ::yes::

I had to go back and read the first part of your post again.. it looked like you needed to go to the Cool Wash for a personal break. Seriously, I'm disturbed! :lmao:

Bummer for your knee. But at least you are sexy AND you know it! :rotfl: Cute!

Land sakes alive!! I need to order me some of that meatloaf. Had the creme brulee which was ok but that meatloaf... Gawd it looks good.

Your meal at WPE looks really good!!

Too bad the movie wasn't the version that you had wanted to see, but it still sounds like fun!

Wolfgang Puck Express is one of our favorites too! :thumbsup2 That meatloaf looks divine. ::yes::

I haven't seen Oz yet. Maybe we'll rent it as a family from Redbox.

Bummer about the knee. I've had those issues but I'm concentrating on the ankle right now. I think I'm falling apart.

I love the look of that meatloaf. I think that is being added to my list of must try places for December but I think we may split it.

I never saw Oz. I really need to get to the movies again one day I just never have the time.

I do need to ask one thing though. Does Vinny ever walk with you or sit with you on the bus? Your pics always have him ahead of you or across the aisle. :rotfl2:

You liked the movie Oz.
I just don't like James Franco.
I hated him on General Hospital-and I don't think I can get past that.
I'll wait for it to come out on Red Box and pay my buck and maybe I won't feel so bad. I do like Mila Kunis though.

Sorry your knee is hurting.
I had some back issues at Disney. ):
I loved it. I thought it was a great prequel to Judy's movie.
it was fine the rest of the trip.

Whew, I felt like I was behind but I caught up!

Oh hey Mr. Troll...do you need a tissue? You've got a fist in your nose...:thumbsup2 :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: :thumbsup2

@MeMom...that was me you saw running through the theater...I never stay for the movie..ahahaha

So cool that you went to see OZ while you were in DTD! I never think about seeing movies when I am there, but that would be a wonderful end to an evening.

Great updates!!!
Glad you are caught up. I have fallen behind in all of my tr's.
:rotfl2: at least I didn't pull out anything.
it was very nice epsecially having dinner first at DTD.
Thanks.

:rotfl2: no. That made me laugh.
:rotfl2: no. The bathroom around the corner from it. Vinny just waited by Cool Wash.
Oh! I do know it. :rotfl:
It was.

Your meal at WPE looks really good!!

Oh no it was. That is what we switched to.

I am going to buy it go along The Wizard of Oz on the shelf. LOL

:rotfl2: No you will be better. Just listen to the doctor.
Definitely do.
We go to the matinees. less kids and cheaper.
We always sit across from each other. Walking he si always ahead of everyone.

Day 4 is upon us and my knee is KILLING me. I said let’s hang out around the room and see if it gets better. We did that and I sat outside on the balcony and watched the buses going to the parks and around 2pm I decided I was good to go so we decided to go out.

We decided to walk over and have lunch at The Mara being we did not have dining plans till 7:30. Here is Vinny walking towards the entrance.

What we had.

Scott:
Angus Bacon Cheeseburger 1/3 pound $9.39

I also had peanut butter cake.

Vinny:
African Stew - hearty stew with beef, turkey, ham, carrots, potatoes, peas, chickpeas and raisins served over basmati rice $7.99
Soups $2.99 - $3.49 (Butternut Squash)

It was all delicious. He did get the soup as a substitute for a dessert.

Once we finished we walked back to the room and I rested my knee. After rest we went to dinner. Looks like we gave ourselves plenty of time.

Then we waited for this bus.

Soon we were passing here.

The only other people on the bus were a mother and daughter so it was a peaceful ride over.

Then we saw the best transportation at Disney. Okay in my opinion. LOL

Obligatory pic.

Of course we were not going into the park we were getting on the boat.

There was a boat there we could have gotten on but it was packed and we had plenty of time. Donald’s relative swam by us.

Here comes our boat.

Being we’re the first in line we got a seat outside.

Here is the video of the ride from DHS to Dolphin. I think I take this video yearly now, it helps me when I need a Disney fix.

Then we were on our way to the Beach Club.

I would love to stay there one day.

Then we moved along.

Then we entered the Boardwalk area.

I so wish we got into here for December but I am happy with SSR.

Then of course I had to look across the lake.

Then we arrived.

I think I will stop here.

Up next,

Dinner and the end of the night..

Those night time pictures are so pretty. Your camera gets the best night time shots. Never a hint of blur.

So where are you eating? did you give a hint?

I am waitlisted for BWV for October, so my fingers are crossed. But I am never disappointed to be staying at SSR!

Just caught up!! :) That meatloaf looks really good!!!

Sometimes the best part of the vacation is sitting, relaxing, talking with friends!:thumbsup2

Sorry your knee was causing so much pain.:sad2:

:)
I love your wall paper for your phone. You had me searching the options to change mine! (I spy my old room in your phone background wallpaper!)

Sorry about the knee... sounds like taking it easy is the best medicine. I noticed that your burger at the Mara would be like $28 per pound!! Good thing you only needed 1/3 lb.

Are there no places to eat at Kidani other than Sanaa? Any snack places there? Is the walk far to Jambo? I'm debating switching to Kidani from Jambo but wonder how much work it is to get food if you don't want to go anywhere.

Looking forward to hearing about dinner!

Our school called this entre'-John Marzitti. I had no clue why. My dh loves this kind of meal too. I call it "hotdish". It cracks me up even looking at it. Sorry-just not a fan.

Loved the Boardwalk area. Luckily we had a rental car and we parked at The Yacht Club and had dinner at Cape May. This was one of my first DIS meets I missed.

Thanks. You should the hundreds it takes to get 1 good pic. LOL
No hint but it is in Beach Club.
I hope you get it. We could waitlist but we are going with a friend and if 1 waitlist comes through and the other doesn't then we will be separated. We love SSR so we have no worries.

Thanks. The rest of the trip I am good.

Thanks. :rotfl2: The night we walked out of dinner I asked Vinny I wonder what that looked like behind those windows and now I know.
:rotfl2: Those are Disney prices for you.
No counter service at Kidani. The gift shop has a few snack options but you really need to walk to jambo. It is about 5 minutes or less. Some find it longer. It really is not bad at all. I personally liked Jambo more because the food options and the pool is so much bigger.
Coming up soon.

Awesome pics! :)
Thank you.

:confused3 No clue either. he said it was all very good. I like my burgers. :lmao:
Me too. I hate when I miss meets. But I have.

I like that you guys don't mind hanging out and relaxing. That's what vacation is about.

Good job on your weight loss! I'm still working on losing my cruise and last WDW vacation! :rotfl2:

I almost forgot, good job on your weight loss.
Thank you.

it is. We used to be go go go in the parks but now with dvc and annual pass we do not see the need.
Thanks. :rotfl2: Surprisingly I did not gain last trip.

I still have another 11 pounds to go before I'm back to my pre WDW trip weight (not to mention the cruise weight). :headache:

Good luck. I am sure it will come right off. It is so easy. :rotfl2:

Happy Mother's Day to all moms and moms to be.

When I left you we had just arrived at Beach Club and now we are walking over there.

I love this pic and I love the pool.

Then we walked on.

Then we checked in at Cape May Buffet and didn’t have to long of a wait. We were seated when you turn left before the buffet and go into the back.
We ate here the time before this trip and it was delicious so let’s see if this time is the same.

Here is my first plate. Fried shrimp, calamari, cornbread and roast with some sauce which was the most incredible thing in the world. I could have put that on my plate and licked it clean 4 times.

My beverage choice was The Magical Star Cocktail.

I did get a 2nd plate and it was mostly the roast and the delicious sauce.
Next up was dessert and I had a Happy Birthday pin on (it was 2 weeks later) so the waiter brought me this.

He also gave me this.

After that we left.

Review:
We both enjoyed it again. I will say the last time we were there they had pork and chicken dishes and they were to die for although that sauce was so good. It was very nice of the waiter to bring my dessert and a card and overall it was very good. We will return.

After we left and was heading back to the resort.

Boats in the lake with their bottoms lit up.

We went to the boat to go back and grab the bus from HS so we didn’t have to walk through Epcot but the boat guy told no more buses there. Oh well.

We then went back into Yacht Club and decided to take the bus to DTD.

Looking back.

We went to DTD and we transferred in Pleasure Island being the Marketplace stop was closed. I do not think we waited long and then we were back at Kidani.

We packed and then I went out to look around and walk as I always do on my last night at a resort.

I did go down by the pool. As I was sitting there I kept hearing the bushes moving. All I kept thinking about was the raptor in Jurassic Park 1. LOL
I did leave within 15 minutes. Pics of the small pool there.

Then I went into the gift shop as I had some snack credits left. I bought 3 different of those Minnie Bake Shop cookies. OH MY GOD these were so good. I had one on the plane and I was hooked. I also bought myself a DVC hat. Here I am with it in a blurry pic.

Then I went back to the room and watched a little TV, went onto Facebook and then went to bed.

Up next,

Day 5 begins.
