The Side effects of the AP-Trip#6 Oct 10 Final thoughts and some TMI

My kids don't want to take the time to see those movies in the countries. I saw several of them decades ago, when I was in college and went to Epcot with my parents. Do you think the movies are the same as were shown in the mid-1980's?

Unfortunately, he was staying Port Orleans and was practically a witness to the bus accident that killed a man.

That was sure a sad situation.

I am glad there is another satified customer. :cheer2:

We always love it when people like 'our' place. :thumbsup2

We arrived about 11 am but still had to eat breakfast. I steer them to Sunshine Seasons and we chow down on a great breakfast.

We enjoyed hearing how Christmas is celebrated in France. We continued to look around France and even took in the movie. This was a first for me. The movie was enjoyed by all even though I thought we could sit and it just had the lean bars. If I am not mistaken it is only Canada you can sit?

You deprived us of seeing what you ate???

Sit in France.
Stand in Canada.

Sometimes it is fall asleep in France to that peaceful music.

Since it was my first time seeing the France movie I am not sure. I know Cananda was recently updated (08)with Martin Short and it was cute. France and China I have not heard they were updated so I am guessing not.

Norway - not updated and it really needs to be
AA - Updated I know after 9-11.

it was. I read about it I guess from my daily news that I get from the Amusement today. He was a bit surprised that I knew about it already.
Reports are that the man just walked out in front of the bus.
My co-worker said he did have some great bus drivers and some really awful ones too. I guess with the expected crowds, they brought in everyone. did not matter if they could drive or not. :confused3

Yes we do.

My friends already know I am a dork. If I took pictures of my food on the first day..... well I know i would have been laughed at royally.

That is what I thought but I had a false memory that I told them we could sit and we ended up standing. :scratchin

I love the music. I heard it in the Supermarket once and I instantly got relaxed. :cloud9:

You still up?? me too- one fight down, one to go....

I got a wonderful new camera. I have been playing with it and while I can still take bad pictures :rotfl: this zoom and image stability makes it easier for me to take better ones.

There was a full moon the other night so to show off the zoom power
here I am outside my house looking at the moon.

Here I zoom as far as I can and get a sort a clear image.

Now I can take pictures of the gorillas and thier eyelashes, if I want. Or a certain tumble monkey

I think that is a great picture of the moon.

I just wonder if the person who got you the camera (was it a gift?) knew your ulterioir motives? :rolleyes1

There is no better place to try it out than you-know-where...

Sine my DH and I frequently don't exchange gifts- we just really have a hard time thinking of items to get each other and if I hand him exactly what I want, he feels I have taken some of the fun out of it.
So if I find what I want, I hold on to it until an opportunity arises. :rolleyes1
I had been looking at new camera since the last trip when the other one ( also a Canon) seem to have trouble focusing when zooming. This one caught my eye, so after research I just waited for it to go on sale and for a good time to justify buying it.:rolleyes1

My DH told me his chainsaw got destroyed when a tree he was cutting down basically ate it. OPPORTUNITY !!!! I told him to get a new chain saw and then I showed him the camera that just went on sale !!! :dance3:
I picked it up before Christmas ( because I can't wait) and have been playing with when I get a chance.

I most definitely had ulterior motives when I got this camera.:rolleyes1
Most importantly, I have a reason to start planning another trip.:dance3:

Since everyone is sharing thier Christmas Day snow, I figured I would too.

We did not get snow until Christmas night so we did not wake up to snow until the day after Christmas.
My teenagers ( I can still call both of them that until March) are too cool now for building snowmen or even a snowball fight. :sad1:
My DS did shovel the driveway so I am thankful for that.

Look - just a couple of inches.

It is almost all gone now. We still have a few patches in shady areas but they are fading fast since it mid 50's here now.

Wow, that's a really good picture of the moon. Cool!

That's quite a bit of snow for Charlotte! Looks like a very nice neighborhood Pat.

It is amazing what that camera can do. I read a review that a guy posted saying her could take pictures of moon craters, so I had to verify.

The news was saying the last signifcant snow ( snow that sticks and make a mess of driving) was 1947.

We get most storms in Jan - Mar. That amount of snow will shut us down for the day. I have to admit inthe 20 years I have been down here they are getting better and actually have plows now to get rid of the snow. Before that we only had the solar method of snow removal. :rolleyes1

Wow! It looks like you got a lot more snow than we did on Christmas! Beautiful pictures! Happy New Year, Pat!

We probably got the least in our area. jillyb got a little more, and she is just north of me.

Happy New Year!!!!!

Day #2 Wed Dec 30, 09 Part #3

After France we did backtrack to Canada to catch Nowell there .

We were intrigued by the handler’s vests.

Absolutely a great moment in Canada. Nowell was getting started with his story and a woman, THIS woman ( in the gray shirt)
EPCOTCanadaphonelady123009.jpg

was leaning against the left side of the stage area ON HER PHONE. She continued on her phone even after he started. At one point he looked at her, waited, and then said ”Do you mind? It is really hard to concentrate with you talking right in my ear.” I thought we were going to die laughing. She moved off to the side when I snapped the picture. I am not sure why the handler did not say anything but he positioned himself between her and the stage after that. We were giggling one minute and shooting that woman a dirty look the next.
Here is Nowell when he is finished with his story.

According to pictures we walked back by the Port of Entry and by the tree.

I honestly cannot tell you which way we walked but the next set of pictures is 20 minutes later in Japan. If I had to guess, we were making our way around to catch the Voices of Liberty 2pm show.
As we passed Japan, we were able to catch Miyuki the candy maker. A took this picture.

They A and B had mouth open moments again. I was so excited that we were able to watch this.
We also spied this guy. Again, A’s picture.

It was nearing 2pm. So we moved on to the Voices of Liberty and American Adventure.
First we take some Photopass pictures.

Voices of Liberty was an incredible show as I expected it to be. Another first for VoL holiday or otherwise.
Next up- Conquering the world one two-seater at a time.

The snow is pretty. I like it when it 'paints' the landscape but leaves the roads in good shape. ::yes::

I enjoy hearing Voices of Liberty, too, especially when they sing holiday songs. I youtube them sometimes just to listen as I'm working on schoolwork or doing some mundane chore.

Sounds like the handler should have um, handled the situation with that lady before Nowell had to say something. But really, how can people be so impolite, mannerless, discourteous, and uncouth? (Yeah, I went to the thesaurus. I could've thrown in a few more, but stopped there.)

Cute picture of the kid in the mouse costume.

What was A and B's reaction to Voices of Liberty?

We stayed in the day after Christmas, but the 27th I ventured out. My Ds came with to get out of the house and he had to work later so I want to check the roads before I let him drive by himself.

I play my disney music in my office all day. It really helps keep me in a good mood. ::yes:: I put it on my MP3 and it mixes it all up so one minute it is parade music and the next it may be some High School musical or something else I am not real fond of but I tolerate. With the 50 days of music on FB I really collected some tunes I would not usually collect.
