The Side effects of the AP-Trip#6 Oct 10 Final thoughts and some TMI

Sounds like the handler should have um, handled the situation with that lady before Nowell had to say something. But really, how can people be so impolite, mannerless, discourteous, and uncouth? (Yeah, I went to the thesaurus. I could've thrown in a few more, but stopped there.)

Cute picture of the kid in the mouse costume.

What was A and B's reaction to Voices of Liberty?

AS I was writing that portion I realized that yes the handler should have stepped in but I am not sure why he did not. He may have been in the back of the crowd doing crowd control or something else.
I thought of Jordan during that moment 'cause those things happen to him.:rotfl2: That and the drunks.

The kid in the MM costume was cute. I think I posted that too over on Jordan's TR and I guess it is a cultural thing to dress up. :confused3

A and B had thier mouths open often and after the fireworks, my crowd evading skills and Miyuki, they were beginning to realize that we were in a "different world" and I was going to shock them at every turn. All in all I think they really enjoyed the show and their wonderful voices.

Of course, later we have some " real life " moments too. :rotfl2:

That moon pic is awesome!! Loved it! Your snow pics are something else, too. Christmas is the only day of the year that I wish it snowed here. :sad1: Gorgeous!

Hilarious about the cell phone woman during the storyteller. :rotfl: That was really too rude. Did she just stand there after or what?

Happy New Year!

Great pictures of nowell. He is one of the storytellers I missed last year. We walked by his first "show" when we were cutting through epcot to go have lunch at beaches and cream. When we came back in we went to France and on around that direction. Later that night we made it back to see the on in the uk, but by that time nowell wasn't doing any more.

This was not a bad snow. The roads were clear, either due to the pretreating or the warmth of the road itself.
I am falling in  with my new camera.

She was literally leaning on the edge of the stage area talking. He shot her a couple of looks and finally let her have it. In her defense, I think she had been on her phone prior to him walking out and she may so distracted TALKING she did not immediately realize he was there and he was SANTA no less. :rotfl2:

Happy New Year.

It was a cute story. Nowell recounted how the holidays are spent in Canada since different territories do different things. Allears.net has the story. ( I had to cheat and look since I could not remember much)
what was cute was that he started out as the lumberjack and put on santa like items as he told the story.

Happy New Year.

:thumbsup2Finally caught up. Cannot believe he came out of character to say something to the phone lady!:rotfl2:
Pretty pics of the snow.
Thanks for the TR's. Love em'!:goodvibes

I think if he hadn't have said something, I definitely would have!! How inconsiderate can a person BE??

:headache:

Anyway, as I look at your VoL picture, I"m starting to wonder if there isn't more than one set of them? :confused3 There were definitely NEW faces there than in the set I watched?

KIM

Thanks for reading.
He stopped his story and you could tell he was irked by her. Having her so close was throwing him off.
I guess he could have just moved to the other side of the stage but perhaps that would have thrown him off more. :confused3

She was oblivious.

:headache:

We were kind of watching the train wreck start. :rotfl2: He did try the dirty look was she was not getting it. Finally he just had it.
I wonder if he got in trouble for correcting the situation?

Somehow, I would think there would have to be if they perform 7 days a week and multiple times per day. I would that would be true for ever show and character. Even knowing that, I seem to look for the same faces every time, and most times they are there. I did experience a favorite tumble monkey-less show once. And it did make me sad. :sad1:

I am SO behind but am really going to try and get caught up tonight! So in the meantime

i have wondered about staying at pop, have always stayed at all star.

I loved POP.
It does not share a bus- yet I assume when Art of Animation opens it will share a bus.

Buses are frequent for the most part- Never had much trouble getting a bus, unless I coming from DTD

Usually walk through food court- I always use a mug there, so easy to refill.

No building is really out there.- Some are a little harder to get to or to get your bearings, especially in the dark but they are not far.

Rooms have thermostats-I think AlllStars do too but not POFQ.

Recently refurbed rooms

I love the music that pop plays on the bus.Always stuff you could sing along to ( if you wanted ) Catchy tunes not just "themed" music.

Yup I love it there.

Ok I have to stop and post as I'll lose track otherwise, that's just how far behind I am!

I think they are little different but both smell so good. I love love love the Beach club but the Yacht club has a hint of expensive wood smell.

They smell TOTALLY different. It's like lobby deja vu yet they are SO different.

I'm partial to expensive wood apparently.

While this was not just a Food and Wine item, I felt I needed this. A Sultan's Colada. Yummy.

I was on mission to use a snack credit on the most expensive item I could. I had it in my sights and made a beeline for the American Adventure.
401EPCOTcrabcakes.jpg

Yes, you are reading that right. A lobster roll is $7.25 and a snack credit can be used for this item. :woohoo: That was a must try.

402EPCOTpicofcrabcakes.jpg

That is not my arm nor my roll. I was so excited at using a snack credit for a lobster roll that I forgot to take a picture of mine.

My thoughts on the lobster roll ? I thought is was going to be warm so I was surprised that it was served cold. It was more like a seafood salad on a roll. Not my favorite but if you like that sort of thing, you would like this.

What was for dessert?
403EPCOTPralinesign.jpg

The praline bread pudding. I believe I paid cash for this since it was only $3.00. This was fabulous!!!! I loved it so much that I found the recipe and made it at home last Christmas. I am sorry I did not get a picture of this one.

It was a chilly evening. How many have seen Jasmine in a coat?
404EPCOTMulanincoat.jpg

Marie has her fur coat ;)
405EPCOTMArie.jpg

Since I was still hungry, I had another round, this time from France.
A grand Marnier slush and the Braised Short Ribs in Cabernet with Mashed Potatoes for $4.75.
406EPCOTslushandribs.jpg

I was a bit surprised at the presentation of this dish. The meat was inside the mound which was the potatoes. I went over to a bench put my bag down to eat. I shared the bench with a young woman who was also surprised on how this was served. I think those are her legs as you can see another plate on the bench. I think she took a picture and sent it to her mom while I took pictures of my food with my camera.
We chatted as we ate.
When I was done I got up and decided to make my way back out via the IG.

Did you enjoy your meal? I hope so. ;)

I get out the gate and make it this far.

Suddenly I realize I must go back. I forgot something. I had my little backpack bag and I put it down when I was eating.

Will it still be there? Stay tuned.

AACK on the backpack! I honestly didn't know a lobster roll was basically lobster salad. I have to admit, that does not make me want to try it even with the great value for the snack credit.

In an effort to keep moving forward I am going to finish up Day 3 Sunday Oct18 2009 :scared1: of this trip.
Stay tuned.....

:rotfl: I can relate, I'm only on day 4 of my almost 14 day trip!

A bit of an exciting day yesterday. As some of you know I have some allergies. Tree, weeds, grasses are not my friend and flying and stinging critters are worse. I also found out I have some food allergies on top of all that.
All that being said, no one thing will kill me. However I always refer to it as climbing a mountain, every allergen I am exposed to is one step up that mountain. If I am exposed to many in a short amount of time, then the trip up that mountain is quicker. The last allergen ( the straw that breaks the camel's back) is the one that sends me over the cliff at the top of the mountain.

About 2 hours later I was on my way and over to the CVS to pick up a Rx and some Pepcid.

Pepcid, who knew! I may have to keep that around for my nephew, that's actually really really helpful info.

Look here comes Rafiki- If you have not noticed yet, up until this time I have not stopped for characters. I guess I figured being an adult and without kids it would be kind of silly. I guess having that annual pass in my lanyard pouch was already working its magic.
I wave

And they stop for me!!!!! This may actually be my first character picture!

Awww!

ok, the last update I read, the whole move to CSR, beignet induced delay, transportation from you know where, trying to move rooms stressed me out just reading it! That ride to, and from, DTD can just seem interminable!

Impressive that you even tried to snap yourself out of your funk by even going out, I'd have just gone to bed and played Scarlett.

I did it! I am all caught up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:cool1:

What a great trip, you were a touring maniac, seriously I cannot believe all that you did you 4 parks in one day PLUS "working" for 4 hours in the middle of it.

:worship:

Your girls trip 1st night had me misty and I am loving the storytellers! Why did I not know about them?

I thought your "old" camera was pretty amazing, can't wait to see what the new one brings. I assume it is water proof as well, pretty cool to see all the top of the slide/ride pics the rest of us wish we could take at the water parks!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all my friends

BEST Christmas light pic/Holidays at WDW pic EVER. I love it. Look at the Joy!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am glad that helped somebody.

I don't know why I continue to put myself in those situations. by any shred of luck I had, I allowed far more time than I thought I would ever need and used every minute. :headache:

That's how I roll.:rotfl2:

You are a machine. I do appreciate you taking the time to catch up. :worship:

To get the full effect of the side effect, this TR willbe a marathon. Hang in there as the seasons change. :)

I was going to post another update but I will let you catch up first.;)

Must plan holiday trip to see them now. ;)

The new one is not waterproof. But I still have the Olympus which is small and waterproof. :thumbsup2

BEST Christmas light pic/Holidays at WDW pic EVER. I love it. Look at the Joy!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks. I was having so much fun that night.

The boy's Mickey costume looks too funny! But he does not look comfortable in it...

I think Katharina and I caught the last song of the Voices of Liberty on the last trip and that was the first time I ever heard them. I really want to hear more of them.

Thanks for taking a picture of the vest! Were they the same for all the countries? It would be neat if it was always the country's language on them (but this looks more like it was from France then, Canada ought to have a bilingual one?).

OK...finally caught up! That's an awesome pic of the moon! :thumbsup2 I'll have to get my snow pics uploaded and posted on my trip report. I think we definitely got more than you got.

Sounds like ya'll are having a good day in Epcot so far. And you even got to take an "offender" picture!
