the show "Live with Kelly" ---- hmmmm....

I don't know if this is true, but Rob Shuter just tweeted that Kim Kardashian is going to co-host on Live w/Kelly :scared1: ... I think that would be a huge mistake if they are even thinking about her as a possible replacement  ... Sorry, but I am not a fan of Kim K ...

I don't think Kim K would do the show permantley, It would be a huge pay cut for her. I'm pretty sure they are looking for a guy co-host

What do you mean by this? Was AMC picked up in L.A.? It used to film in NYC.

Cameron left AMC years ago, went to L.A. around the same time as Josh Duhamel. Josh got Las Vegas, and Cameron ened up coming back to NY & eventually AMC, as he couldn't get hired much in L.A.

IMO, he's good looking, but has a kind of cardboard personality and not very much of an acting range. I hope not to see him as the permanent host. he does well on SMALL stints for GMA, but that's about it.

AMC was in LA for a short time then it was canceled and a webseries was supposed to be picked up...that was canceled also. I think he has chemistry with Kelly and it might be a good match.

Cameron had left AMC to pursue other things but came back. At that time they were filming in NYC. The show moved to LA & Cameron went out there also.

ANC's last air date was in September. I'm not sure if Cameron is in LA or New York now. I do know he does things for Good Morning America.

I also think he has chemistry with Kelly. I like him.

Have not watched the show this week. I have zero interest in sports or sports figures.
I like her husband and Anderson Cooper. I also like Niel on her show, but not on his own show. I think they should get a male cohost, and definitely not a sports person. I would love Jerry Seinfield or Jim Parsons, but I don't believe they would do it.

I'm really liking Jesse Palmer with Kelly! He's very charming!

Just my opinion.
The show needs to go off the air.
Time for something new.

I only watch occasionally. Not interested in the sports guys and I don't want the show to turn into a female sports program. Don't like her husband -- has short man syndrome. Jerry Seinfeld wasn't as good as I was expecting; seemed like he was trying too hard.

Aside from the fact that I can't see Kim K being quick enough verbally to do this show, I can't believe she'd ever do it permanently. As someone said, it would be a huge pay cut for her. It would also tie her down to NYC for months at a time, which I can't imagine her being willing to do anything that would take her away from her mother for that long.

I was rooting for NPH until the whole Halloween corpse cake incident -- now whenever I see him, all I can "see" is that hideous cake. Turns my stomach.

I like Cameron and Anderson.

Yes, Kelly plays dumb, but is really sharp as a whip. Anyonw who has seen her on All My Children, know she has much more depth & intelligence than she plays on Live.

I rarely watch since it is on here at the same time as the Doctors.

I wish they'd have the few prospective co-hosts actually host for a week or so, so we could get a feel for the chemistry between them and Kelly.

I love Kelly also, but I do think she's having a hard time carrying the show herself. There are just some blah moments, especially during host chat. .

This.

I loved her with Regis, and day after day, week after week, month after month, ect ect they ALWAYS had something fun to say!

Considering she's having a tough time carrying the show herself *now*, when each guest host is *fresh* and she's essentially just interviewing them, she may not be able to maintain the popularity of the show.

I wish them well, but have serious doubts it'll continue.

:confused3

Watching (a little) now, to which I say DITTO to my above post. Where is the YAWN icon? Sorta sad; Kelly deserves better but this is clearly not the platform for her anymore.

I think the show can continue, but not if they continue putting on sports figures. They know sports - that's all. The only "sports" person that I know of that can carry on a conversation that does not have to be about sports is Terry Bradshaw.
And if they want to keep the older viewers, which maybe they don't, they need to not use Hip Hop and Kardashian and Jersey Shore people as guests.

I'm going to see the show live on Thursday. Dana Carvey will be co-hosting and I can't wait to see him. He used to impersonate Regis on SNL and I'm hoping he'll do it on the show. :thumbsup2

I like Dana Carvey, he might be a good new co-host

I agree. And I'm only 41. That's why I like Pat Sajak. He's kind of a classic in our culture, relatively speaking. Or even Jerry Seinfeld, although he's not my favorite because he always sounds cynical. Some people reach out to a broad audience, and some don't. They will hopefully pick someone who does.

They are going to lose me if the show becomes too "hip" or whatever the correct word for that is these days. Maybe they don't care, but a lot of the people who are at home watching (at least as far as I can tell from their phone-in contests) are over 30 and don't give a flip about flash-in-the-pan "celebrities" (or like you said - 99.9% of sports figures).

They might be going for a younger audience. NBC has the two hags (as I call them,) Kathie Lee & Hoda, with their cynical attitudes. Now that Regis is gone, ABC can pretty much market to a new audience.

My favorite so far has been Carl Edwards. He was very natural, didn't seem forced, also he really didn't talk that much about sports.

Can't stand Pat Sajak, he hasn't been on in awhile. I like Neil as a guest co-host, but was sick of him by the end of the week. I like Mark but only as a guest co-host.

I just wish they would stop having co-host that you know wouldn't take the job permanently, like Jim Parsons. I think they need a relative unknown, like Kelly was when she started. Yes, she was on a soap opera but not a huge name.

I miss Regis, he will be hard to replace.

Didn't like Rob Lowe, he thinks too highly of himself.

The problem is that it may take a few MONTHS before they find the right host and the right fit. They need stars to come in for the ratings, even if they aren't going to be permanent.

I remember when Craig Kilborn left hosting The Late, Late Show, on after Letterman. It took a couple months finding a host and testing each of them out for several days.

I originally thought Michael Ian Black would have made a great host. He was always so funny & snarky on the clips on VH1's retrospectives of the different decades, like the 80's.

But, when he hosted The Late, Late Show, he just was too low energy and cerebral. When they found Craig Ferguson, they hit paydirt. :yay: But, took several weeks testing him out, before they finally made him permanent.

It will probably be the same way, with whoever Kelly ends up with.
