the show "Live with Kelly" ---- hmmmm....

I went to the store after bringing my DD to school so I am just catching up on the show.

All I can say is WOW Kelly way to suck up! Are you serious that you fought every day for the first year of your marriage to Mark or were you just trying to bond with Kim by saying that???

Also Kelly why the constant looking over to Gelman for reassurance???

Kelly probably kept looking to Gelman because I would bet Kim's Momager had a laundry list of "do's & don't" for Kelly to follow ...

I missed the beginning of the show, but what I did see of it, I thought Kim was awful ... I would rather watch a piece of driftwood ... Her voice, in itself, just makes me want to scream ... Nope, not a fan of Kimmie K at all ... :)

I didn't realize it before, but I guess I'm a Howie Mandel fan!!

Its actually interesting and funny today! :thumbsup2 I bet he could keep up the banter with Kelly for quite awhile!

I hope he's the new host! I'd definitely continue watching him :)

ETA: Yup, my money's on him LOL He's gonna be the new host!!!

:confused3:worship:

Her hair looks a lot better this week since it appears to actually have been combed.

Howie was great but I don't think he will take over as co-host because he is a west coast guy, I doubt he would move to NY. It's a shame because he is really good.

Oh yeah, true. Never thought of that :( :( :(

I like Howie Mandel also. I think he's so funny. Love his practical jokes all the time.

Howie said on Howard Stern's show today that he will not be the permanent co-host.

I just wish they would find a permanent host already!!! I have stopped watching for the most part, but it would be nice to stop dragging it out and pick someone. They have known Regis was leaving for a while.

Best show in a while. I don't like the overemphasis on women.

I LOVE when Howie is a co-host. He is so funny. I wish he'd be the permanent replacement, but I don't think it's in the cards. I would have enjoyed Andersen Cooper as the permanent guy too, but now that he has his own morning show I guess that's out.

This has nothing to do with today, but I am wondering if anyone remembers Howie telling this story a while back when he cohosted. He was on the plane to come to NYC, and the guy sitting next to him was completely engrossed in a book. According to Howie, the man was talking to himself about how good the book was everytime he turned a page. Well, when the gentleman went up to use the lavatory, Howie ripped out the last page of the book! :rotfl2: He even had the page for the host chat! I never laughed so hard. That is when he had me as my favorite guest cohost.

Sorry to get a little off topic...but when I thought of that story today I had to see if anyone else saw it too.

Your post made me giggle, and my husband asked me what was so funny. I read it to him, and he (an avid reader) said, "I'm going ask the flight attendant to move me if I'm ever seated next to Howie Mandel." :rotfl:

I missed the "big announcement" on Friday. Can someone please tell me what it was?

The announcement was that they will be televising interviews with the Oscar winners the morning after the award show. They are basically taking over the show/format that Oprah previously did for the last whatever number of years. It should be interesting to see if Kelly can keep it together for such big name actors after such a huge award show.

Sorry to bring this thread back to life again but I really must ask this-
WTH is going on with this show????

Today's episode had Dana Carvey as co-host and I swear it is just chopped up pieces of previously aired segments but they labeled it as "New episode: original air date 3/20/12"

Wow! How have I missed this thread? I TiVo the show and then watch it really fast at night (meaning I fast forward any guest I don't like). I think it is probably down to Nick Lachay or Michael Strahan - I don't know how to spell either name! They are both fine, but I am not sure I love either. I'm also not sure they can keep the older viewers.

I haven't watched the show in months, and I used to DVR it daily and at least watch part of it. I love Kelly and have since her AMC days, but I just can't stand going through a string of co-hosts - many of whom I don't know or don't care for.

They knew for MONTHS that Regis was leaving, and it's been MONTHS since he left, and they still don't have a regular cohost :confused3.

At this point, unless they get a cohost I'm interested in, they may have lost me as far as being a regular viewer. Even for the last few years with Regis they were already getting on my nerves with all the "special" weeks and contests (which seemed to be EVERY week), and the show had already started losing its appeal for me. I wonder if that is part of why Regis left when he did, too.

I can't stand it anymore. It is just too "modern" for me. I've never been a fan of their "big announcements."
Wheee, we're going to do a makeover.

I haven't watched in weeks either. Its a big yawner lately.

And Kelly is ridiculously thin. I work out and am in shape myself but she's borderline too thin.

Remember the camera *does* add 10 lbs (so can you imagine how thin she really is??) so no flames, please.

Yep, it's time to announce the new host already. It's getting annoying & I've been a faithful viewer since the early 80's. (Yes, I'm old! :scared1:). And I don't like that they call shows with repeat segments "new" just because it has a new, pre-recorded opening. I would watch with Nick Lachey, Michael Strahan or Dana Carvey. Like them all. Just MAKE A DECISION ALREADY!!! I'm over the constant "getting to know you" atmosphere.

And yes, Kelly is waayyy tooo thin. Couple that with her constant remarks about her lack of a bustline & she's in danger of getting a little too Hollywood for me. She had a great shape years ago. I'm all for exercise & being healthy, but seriously, you want a bustline? Put on a few pounds.

The nail in the coffin for me was when the co-host was Kim Kardashian. YAWN...........

I have watched Michael Strahan's cohosting and really liked him; but I've pretty much give up watching regularly. :confused3

I miss Regis, too.:sad1:
