the show "Live with Kelly" ---- hmmmm....

I haven't watched the show in months, and I used to DVR it daily and at least watch part of it. I love Kelly and have since her AMC days, but I just can't stand going through a string of co-hosts - many of whom I don't know or don't care for.

They knew for MONTHS that Regis was leaving, and it's been MONTHS since he left, and they still don't have a regular cohost .

At this point, unless they get a cohost I'm interested in, they may have lost me as far as being a regular viewer. Even for the last few years with Regis they were already getting on my nerves with all the "special" weeks and contests (which seemed to be EVERY week), and the show had already started losing its appeal for me. I wonder if that is part of why Regis left when he did, too.

Regis left for one reason only. Money...they wanted him to take less. He decided to leave instead.

I was a fan and would watch it every morning. I haven't watched it in MONTHS. I just can't stand the endless string of co-hosts. I especially hate it when the co-host is someone I never heard of, or some newscaster or sports star. They REALLY need to pick a darn co-host already. I don't know if they think they are being cute by dragging this out and are trying to create suspense, but all it is doing is irritating the loyal viewers.

I have quit watching and surprisingly don't miss it. I don't think she does a good job of carrying the show with the trial co-hosts either. I liked her when she was on All My Children and liked her as a co-host, but now that Regis is gone and it's on her shoulders....it's just different.

Today's episode had Dana Carvey as co-host and I swear it is just chopped up pieces of previously aired segments but they labeled it as "New episode: original air date 3/20/12"

I think Kelly is on spring break and this is how they do reruns. I hate that they don't label them as such, they always pretend they are "live". I like that it says "previously recorded" at the beginning of Kathie Lee and Hoda's show if it's not live.

I guess because the word live is in the title they think we are too stupid to realize that it isn't always live.

I also wish they would pick a co-host soon. This had gone on way to long. Not sure I like Nick Lachey enough to watch him everyday. I thought they would try out more unknowns, not so many big stars. Other than that race car driver, Carl something, I'm not that crazy about any of them.

Kelly may be too thin but she acts like she's this fat, ugly, thing, that routine is getting old too. I wonder how much say she gets in the final choice of co-host.

The part I don't understand with these chopped up re-runs is exactly that- why chop up a few different segments and still show a trivia question??? Why not just show an entire episode with a front runner for co-host and say previously aired?

I like Michael Strahan although all the "I love you's" the 2 of them throw at each other is really nauseating.

I like Martin Short the best but don't think he would move to NY for it.

I saw Kelly and her family at the USS NY a couple of years ago and she is really thin but somehow she does seem to be toned and strong. I can't explain it but I guess what I am trying for is that she doesn't seem 'sickly thin' KWIM. I just don't like that she makes comments about her weight or what it will be like if she snacks on her favorite foods etc when it would take a lot for her to even look slightly bloated.

OK I am giving the show another try again today- I know, I know just shoot me now but it may have actually been worthwhile because Kelly has admitted to having "social anxiety" and that she is really just a homebody and when invited places she thinks of every possible excuse to not "have to go".

Now I have heard everything.

Live with Kelly has the 'Previously Recorded' message too. However, it is for about 3 seconds and really small at the bottom of the screen. It usually pops up right when they are sitting down.

But if you are talking about your guide on the cable box, it does say NEW this week and it is obviously not new.

Ok, my turn to bring this thread back to life(plus I'm the op LOL)

I had a chance to watch it *live* all week, and was really looking forward to watching with a 2nd cup of coffee and the kids gone. But geez, I have to say, it's been very disappointing!

When it was Regis and Kathie Lee, I would sometimes *TAPE* it (VHS) because it was so funny! And even when it was Regis and Kelly.

I love Michael. He's sweet and charming and funny. But together, I don't know, its been a yawner all week for me.

While their guests are interesting, their *Host Chat* first just leaves me MEH. Like chatting about the weather *EVERY* day? Well doh, but the other teams had so much more fun with interesting things to discuss.

Ok, am I the only one? I will bring this up tonight with my friends IRL but thought I'd ask y'all, since many didn't like the show to begin with LOL

I rarely watch them, and when I do I usually switch the channel pretty quick. I like Michael, and I like Kelly, but him and Kelly together don't have the same spark as Regis and Kelly. Does anyone know how the ratings have been? Just curious as to what other viewers think.

My biggest pet peeve with them is the "live" aspect. It's obvious that their opening is live, but sometimes with guests, Kelly will have a completely different hairstyle and outfit (not as noticeable what Michael's wearing). So then it's not live? Why not make an attempt at making it appear "live"? And I hate Kelly's new haircut.

I like them together. Michael Strahan must be the hardest-working guy during the months of Sept - Jan!

I really like them together; I love Regis but I think in the last year or so he was on, he wasn't himself. Please don't flame me for this, I have NO reason to suspect this is true, just a guess on my part - but I had a grandfather who had frontal lobe dementia for about 15 years before he passed away and how Regis acted and what he said at times in that last year made me think of my grandpa and how he acted in the beginning, before we knew he was sick. Hopefully he's in great shape and is doing well, but I think towards the end he wasn't 100%. But, he'd also been there for years and perhaps he was just tired all around, so it was showing. Just my 2 cents.

I have noticed they're getting a little "racier" than Regis & Kelly did. Nothing objectionable to me but I've been surprised at some of the jokes and double entendres I've heard from them in the last month or so.

I agree with this. I still Tivo it, but I rarely watch more than 1 or 2 a week.

I agree with what you said, and I also think Kelly doesn't seem as relatable as she used to. She used to get so star struck and seemed like an average American. Now, I think she seems more like a star - which she is. I still like her though, but I just don't feel the need to watch anymore.

In the beginning with Kelly & Michael I was enjoying it then as Kelly started to flex her toned arms it opened my eyes to a different Kelly. When she & Michael (mostly him) make comments about Gelman's looks I really don't like it. The Am Gelman took exception to yet another remark and he responded with one of his own about their drinking habits; I thought the shows rating may go down.

Can someone answer this?. Kelly was very adament about her daughter not owning a cellphone. I thought I'd understood Mark bought her one (Birthday?) without talking to Kelly first. Kelly was mad about it. Then, later I thought she explained to a guest on the show how while her daughter wants one it isn't going to happen. Yet the other Am she's explaining Lola's boy friend called to tell her she'd left her phone behind. Michael was left shaking his head as she explained how she handled it.

Regis is doing very well on a sport show called "the crowd goes wild" and he is as sharp as a tack. I use to really enjoy the old show R&K, they were so go together.

Kelly said, "nipple" and the audience tittered so then she tries to milk (no pun intended) it by saying it a bunch more times. She reminded me of the nerd in school who lucks out making a joke and then pushes it too far. I was embarrassed for her.
I can't sit through one of their shows and I've tried numerous times. I like both but together, they're too much. I do miss Reege. Kathie Lee not so much

THIS! I also have been watching the last few weeks or so and it seems as if there have been many sexual comments, or alluding to it. I was a little surprised, Michael seems to be making them..I'm not in love with them together, but I don't know if I am in love with the show. Kelly looks SOOOOO thin, almost like a bobble head with the new hair cut. I have laughed at the new audience dancers..some of them are pretty interesting...lol I will continue to watch as that seems to be what catches my eye as soon as I walk in the door
