I don't think I shared the pictures of Gingerbread Village. Can't believe I haven't done so!
This Gingerbread Village was created by some chefs to raise money for charity. It was displayed in the Melbourne City Town Hall.
Entry is free. You don't have to donate money; you can buy gingerbread if you prefer. But I chose to donate. In Oz, the term is 'gold coin donation'. We used to have notes for the $1 and $2 denominations; but it was cheaper to convert them to coins. So, whenever people ask for donations, they tend do say gold coin donation. That gives you the option to provide a $1 or a $2 donation.

There are a couple of buildings that are modelled after buildings in Melbourne. This is the Melbourne Cricket Ground, capacity 100,000.
