Hope everyone had a great holiday!

Does anyone have any suggestions on what would make a good Yankee Swap type gift for a running group, no more than $20? My running group is getting together for a Yankee Swap after we do a race in a couple weeks. I want to get something that would be useful but not something that everyone probably already has.

Also, when I read your post the first thing that came to mind was that Office episode where Michael Scott turns their Secret Santa gift exchange into a Yankee Swap. I recommend a viewing of that to everyone on this thread

Good morning folks! Hope everyone had a great Christmas and had safe travels. Still no running for me. In fact the cold i have has gotten worse over the weekend and yesterday i couldn't take it anymore and went to the Dr. I was given a shot and a laundry list of meds to take over the next 10 days. The steroid shot has the strange effect on me (kinda common I hear) but i feel wired and a little buzzed, and yet sleepy.... Couldn't fall asleep even though the cough syrup last night had codeine and phenergan. I am at work today, but i think i am just going to get done what i need to, and head home because i am a little out of it..

QOTD: Did you receive any cool running or Disney related gift that you would like to tell us about?

ATTQOTD: I got two Disney gifts that I am excited about and one running gift. I got the book Walt Disney The Triumph of the American Imagination, my cousin gave me a cool key chain from WDW with the phrase "Here you Leave Today and Enter the World of Yesterday, Tomorrow and Fantasy. The running gift was the light up running vest. So it was a good Christmas!

No Disney gifts here, but my wife got me a ForeRunner 235 for Christmas. It was my one real gift for the year. She also got me a pair of calf compression sleeves for my stocking.

My wife got me the 2017 Runner's World wall calendar and a tabletop medal hanger from Gone For a Run. No Disney gifts this year.

My mom got me the RunDisney shoe ornament (which looks much better in person then on the website) and the Captain America RunDisney shirt. My mother-in-law got me the RunDisney coffee mug, some compression socks and and Runner's "cook book" from Runners World. My wife also swiped my Wine and Dine and medal and bib and did a custom shadow box so about half my haul was Disney/running related ...It helped get me a little less depressed as I'm going to have to pull out of the Houston Marathon on the 15th. I overdid it with my training after the Wine and Dine to get read for the marathon. I've learned A LOT from it, but it's a bummer to have put in all that time and now be on the DL. Hoping rest for 4 weeks will do the trick and maybe I can get back for a full in my area the first weekend in March since that will be my last chance until next year probably.

I got a Garmin Forerunner 220, so I am in the club with a running watch now! It's so much nicer than running about 5 apps on my phone for every run. My battery might actually last through my next races now

We also got a few Disney gift cards which we are very excited to put to use for our upcoming trips!

I got a carryon suitcase for my Tink half trip. And Tink and Minnie pandora charms. New run socks, a hat, light up reflector things, and a head lamp. A brooks long sleeve yeti shirt. A rescue rangers shirt. Some Disney figurines. Other stuff too, but not run or dis related.

My hubby got new brooks beasts and a new bag that fits his bike helmet better.

Christmas seemed to fly by! What a great long weekend!
My hubby gave me an apple watch 2, so I'm excited to join the GPS running world! We also received a nice disney gift card and my MIL really surprised me with the mickey/minnie pandora safety chain (with maybe a little help on the idea from my husband haha). This is kind of disney related, but I plan on using my starbucks card on a few disney starbucks mugs/tumblers on our upcoming trip!

I got myself a Garmin 230, and was gifted some compression socks and UA shirt for my birthday (which was the week before Christmas).

We got our DDs the monorail and Epcot ball toys -- so cute!! Big hit! I also successfully booked 8 days of FP+ for our trip for the PHM on Dec 26th!
