For Peepfest I am hoping to do both. Kids and I for the WDW portion (my bday is June 21st and add the Hubby in for the cruise. A 4 or 5 day cruise would be best I think. As far as the WDW I hope to stay for as long as I have points!!

Hey, Jordan, stopping by to catch up and all. I'll catch you later (my AM); meantime, floss eloquent.

I'm sure I'll see you tonight.

I so don't get the sour grapes/sore loser thing. :confused3

I saw it as kind of having the best of both worlds. It was a great game. Both teams played well. The US lost, but Sid scored the winning goal. I'm cool with that.

Congrats to Canada!

I concur!

Lol. Sadly no TRUE Canadian blood runs through my veins.

I wish I had a little Canadian in me...I do have a little Russian in me though if you all recall.

I wish I had a little Canadian in me...I do have a little Russian in me though if you all recall.

I wish I had some Canadian in me too!! All I have is Irish, German and a ton-a-ton of Cherokee Indian!! :lmao:
What a combo!!

Sure hope I can attend this Peep Fest!! :goodvibes

I had to come out of lurkdom to share what my husband thought of your Gardetto's pic. We were at Panera having lunch yesterday and I was reading this update, laughing (as usual), so DH asked what I was laughing about. I showed him the update and he perked up at the words "food porn" but was very disappointed by what he calls the "soft food porn." He thinks it doesn't qualify as true food porn because "all the good stuff is covered." :lmao:

Can't wait for the next update!
party::welcome:party:
:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: People we have a new phrase.....soft food porn....

Panera...my favorite restaurant.....

Right now, we're a big if, too, but we'd probably do the DCL portion and not WDW. So, I guess, I'd pick the middle portion of Option 1.

Confusing enough???

Okay good to know

Hmmmm.... I'd do a cruise if my DH would do it with me. I'd have to think on this, but would tentatively say option 2. That would give folks 2 options for WDW if they couldn't/didn't want the DCL.

I would agree with the 2 WDW portions being a good thing...

While I would really love to do a land/sea trip I doubt my brothers would go along with that. That being said our plans are so up in the air due to school/work etc that you should not let our plans factor into the decision.

I would of course try and work around your schedule!!!!

Haven't planned that far out yet (I know -- shame, shame) but we would probably not do the cruise portion. Plus, with the snow issues we've had this year, the later in June you can hold the "land" portion, the better. Option 3 gives lots of time that you could catch people who's timetables don't line up exactly...but obviously nixes a cruise for those who would like to do that.

What? No plans for 2012 yet?

I am all caught up with your chapters. Thanks for posting the links on the first page. I can't wait to hear more about your trip. I REALLY wish I could have gone. My computer was broken so I have lots of disboards reports to catch up on. I am so glad you got to eat some Gardetos because I was feeling sorry for you going to bed hungry.

LAURA!!!!

I'm eating some Gardetto's right now...

I know we would LOVE to do the cruise part, but have no idea if it would be financially plausible. I am pretty sure that land is an easy yes, and the cruise is tentative for me and the hubby! Chances are it'll be our next WDW too!

OH and June 23rd is my birthday- so you KNOW we;d have to do something crazy!

OH That's gonna be CRAZY! Celebrating together.....

The Canada hockey win was crazy. I'm kinda annoyed that Crosby made the scoring goal. Just boosts his ego that much more  The celebration here in Toronto was nuts. They had to close down parts of Yonge street! I didn't hear about any "sore loser" comments?

I would love to get in on PeepFest, if I can? I know I'm kinda new around here but I have bounced in and out of your TR's before (they're hilarious btw) You're turning 50?!?! I wouldn't have guessed a day over 35. I'll definitely need a Disney fix in 2012, unless I end up working there (something I've been considering recently) But if I end up staying where I am right now, I could do either Option 2 or 3. Might not be able to do both the cruise and WDW but if I'm going to do Disney, I think WDW would be my choice. I'd be bringing my mom and sister along for the ride :goodvibes

I like Crosby better than Ovechkin.

You can mos def join in!

I have been thinking about a land/sea vacay...my excuse to spend that much is Evan will graduate the first week of June, so it's a last family vacation with all my kids.

I think we'd need to do the 3 or 4 day cruise, budget wise. Regardless, I will be at peepfest with or without the family.;)

Perfect timing!

Can u imagine us on a cruise?:rotfl2:

Financially, would most likely just do the land portion of your Peepfest. Unless of course I could get my mom to agree to come down for the second week and spend the week with our son on land while DH and I go to sea. (Mom says she'll NEVER do a cruise.)

So, no matter what you decide, IF my family can make it down in any form (all of us or just part of us), we'd only be there for the land portion.

Ditto this. I'm playing with the idea of just mom, myself, and the kiddo hitting up the World during the summer without my dad and my hubby. She and I have been wanting to do a mother/daught/son-grandson trip. So, if we could swing it financially, we'd be down there for 8-10 days at Pop. :D

Land portion...got it....:thumbsup2

Hopefully you can make it down!

My husband (Middlepat on the Dis) grew up in Canada but has lived in the US for 10+ years. His wife and children are American ;) but he was still rooting for Canada. Of course, I had to cheer "USA" at random points and get my girls to do it too.

Truth be told, I'm glad Canada won. Otherwise, I'd have a mopey Middlepat for a while. And that's no fun. :rotfl:

I was sad that USA lost, but truly I love most of the players on Canada, so I wasn't too sad.

I feel compelled to share a Baylor story...
We were all seated apart on a flight to Orlando last May.
As we got off the plane Baylor informed me that he had gotten sick upon landing.
I asked if he was able to use the barf bag.
He replied yes.
I asked if he gave it to the flight attendant.
He said no.
He put it back where he got it.

It was too late at that point to do anything about it.
I guess that's what they get for seating a 10 year old away from his parents.....

As for peep fest or should we say poop fest
it all sounds good to me!
:scared1::scared1::scared1::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

What if they didn't clean it out?

Surprise for the next flight!:thumbsup2

Wow! I gotta remember this story..it's one for the ages....

Poop Fest :rotfl2::rotfl2:

I hope you and WSU can make it and the rest of the family:thumbsup2

I have to go and look at those exact dates vs. DH's work schedule. If he gets a promotion between now and then that actually won't be a factor since he will then have plenty of paid vacation leave. :thumbsup2 But since that is not the case right now I have to look at it from our "right now" perspective.

Well, since we are now DVC owners (I love saying that), the chances of us getting to do land AND sea are actually within reach. However, since we would still be strapped for time, we'd have to do the 3,4 or possibly 5 night cruise. Depending on the number of nights for the cruise would tell us how many nights we can spend at WDW. (have i confused you enough yet?) ALL of this actually depends on the cruise dates. Because if those don't line up properly then we can't do the cruise at all.

Hmmmm, will go look at dates and try to boggle my brain some more.......

Let me know what works for you......

Ouch! :headache:

We'd be in for PeepFest 2012 (I'd be celebrating my 41st birthday :scared: but don't feel a day over 29!) if Fantasyland was done. Land only, we're definately not a cruise family. End of June works the best for us, exams would be done by then -- so all in all, option 3! :thumbsup2

Fantasyland is scheduled to be done in phases with the 1st phase done sometime late 2011/early 2012 and Phase 2 in 2012 (probably late).

There was a Game ???????:confused3:rotfl2::rotfl2:Lessa I am just NOT a sports Fan but I am glad that The Saints won for Blue and that the Canadians won for you!!!

No Sports at all Rosie?

I would do Land ONLY and I will be celebrating my 65th!!!!:banana::banana:
Don't think I could splurge so it would be Pop!!! Which part of the 16 days is flexible Although workwise the 15th thru the 24th would be great!!! This is a MUST do for me !!! I will use ALL my 403B if necessary!!!:rotfl2:

We can celebrate our birthday milestones together.

I Cant wait to hang with you again.....

Hi Jordan!

I'm planning to leave the kids at home for PeepFest, so it won't be a full week for me... perhaps a three-to-four-day visit.

DCL sounds dreamy, but I'd prefer Land over Sea; purely for financial reasons. (We're doing our big Christmas Vacation trip 12/11.)

School lets out here on June 21.

If the WDW portion is before that, I'll be solo. :yay: Anything after the 21st could be Ed & me! :love2:

BTW, I am not a bit surprised that you are working on your itinerary!! This blow-out is going to take lots of planning!

Kathy

I think the plan is starting to come together.....I'd love it for it to be you and Ed! But I'd take just you too.

I'm with Rosie for this one (unless her family goes along) and will also be an early celebration of my 65th too!!

Would only do Land portion and see if I can convince on Rosie to upgrade from POP. If not, will likely splurge on whichever resort has been most recently refurbed. :teeth:

Not sure about dates, but whatever falls into place will likely work fine for me too.

I'm a lurker most times, but enjoy popping in now and then. Which reminds - think I missed your birthday, Jordan - so a bit belated, but very Happy Birthday wishes. May your year be blessed and may all your wishes come true.

Thanks for the birthday wishes. Pop is getting renovated right now.

Thanks for your input!

I like all of the options :thumbsup2
There isn't a bad choice in the bunch.

Well I hope that means the new DVC owner plans to join in....

As much as I'd want to take part in my 1st Peep Fest, May, June & the beginning of July is rough for me. I work pretty much every day... financially, I be leaving too much on the table. Maybe I can be part of a Mini Peep Fest someday... or a Pep Fes. OR I can just live vicariously through your TRs. ;)

I have a plan for this!!!!:thumbsup2

I am really hoping to do this, definitely in my long term plans. I wouldn't see us making it anywhere earlier than the 24-26th depending on snow days and when school gets out. Probably the 26th. Not sure if I want to be away on the 4th (not to mention the crowds) but it's not out of the question.

For us it would really depend on how many vacation days we have and whether we do the cruise in '11 or not as to which order of things would make the most sense and if we'd want land only or not. 3-4 days on the cruise would be best for us though as we will want land for sure as well.

My plan is to be at THV, VWL or BLT but we will see, it will really depend on whether it's a trip for 4 or more!

Glad you're in!:thumbsup2

Just casting my vote here, Jordan!

We will have just been cruising on the Dream in January of 2012, so no cruise for us.

The end of June, early July is completely do-able! :cool1: I turn 39 on July 1st :) I sure would LOVE to come hang out with and finally meet you for the big 5-0.

Thanks for thinking of all of us on your special 'big day'!!

I'm soo glad you're in at least for now!

For Peepfest I am hoping to do both. Kids and I for the WDW portion (my bday is June 21st and add the Hubby in for the cruise. A 4 or 5 day cruise would be best I think. As far as the WDW I hope to stay for as long as I have points!!

Congrats again on the DVC!!!!

Good to know!!!!!

Those dates for 2012 aren't looking so hot for us right now. We will be able to be there (land portion) but would only be there during your schedule for a few days (2-3). I'm going to talk to DH and see if anything can be done. I'm sure he will look at me like I'm crazy since it's 2 years away.

When does DS get out of school?
