The real Melbourne DISmeet Fri 7th October 2016

Sorry, but I'm going to have to give this one a miss :( You guys have fun though and Fairy Floss, I'll be hanging out for your TR!

I turned up totally expecting Fairy Floss to take us through a slide show or at the very least, multiple photo albums of her WDW trip. Nope. Fairy Floss used the excuse that she'd only been back a few days. Plenty of time I say :rotfl2: We did however hear what a fabulous time she had. Come to think of it, Fairy Floss was probably just holding out on the photos until we see you next time.:goodvibes

Will do TR ... When I get back from Korea (eek! - one week to go!)

You are definitely living lifestyles of the rich and famous! Safe travels and I hope your dad has fun!

The Start of Winter DisMeet

We never got round to taking a picture of us. Afterall, these meets are more like catching up with girlfriends now; rather than DisMeets with comparative strangers.

Awww, my sentiments exactly :grouphug:

Thanks for another great report, full of wonderful photos. Really enjoyed your choice of restaurant. The food was deeeelicious::yes::

July anyone?

:wave2: Hi everyone, and thanks to Princess In Oz for directing me to this thread.

As you can see although I'm new here I am not new to Disboards, but I am one of those 'bad' people who tend to just visit the board prior to planned trips. To tell the truth I find it too depressing to be reading about everyone's trips the rest of the time when I know it may be years before I go to Disney again.

It used to be a running joke amongst our friends and family that I wouldn't holiday anywhere but the U.S. After nine trips to the U.S, I finally went to Europe for the first time 4 years ago. Then for the next 3 years in a row you couldn't keep me away. I fell in love with Italy and France and my love affair with the U.S. and Disney began to fade.

Well, this Christmas we are going back to my former love. It will be our third trip to WDW at Christmas time and this time we will do a couple of days at Disneyland too on our way back home. My friends have never understood what the attraction is with Disney as my children are grown up and to them 'Disney is for little kids' so I appreciate that there are at least a few like minded people living in my neck of the woods. I see that you just recently had a meet up but I would love to be included in any future Dis-meets in Melbourne.

Welcome Monty:wave2: It seems strange saying welcome when you're nearly at 1000 posts!

Your intro tells me you are definitely in the right place! The 5 Melbourne regulars (including our interstate and overseas guests we've hosted) are all keen travellers so Disney or no Disney we'd love to hear all about your adventures.

More details coming soon re the next DISmeet so stay tuned :surfweb:

That is for August. :thumbsup2

I think we're still thinking about one in July.

Oh yes we are!

Hehe... Caught!!!
Yep!
Got back a couple of days ago
I'd better get started .....

::yes:: Welcome home.

I will be missing the GF and the Royal Melbourne Show this year. My trade-off is Sedona to Durango.

I went to the Melbourne show last year with my aunty. We mostly watched the horse events and I bought a Carlton showbag :)

Definitely :)

My cousins used to compete in dressage at the show many years ago so I think my aunty misses that :( I think it's just a beautiful sport and makes me wish I had a horse of my own to ride. I love riding :)

You should be at my uncle's house. He and my cousins are Geelong people and my aunty (not the show one) is Carlton. I bet it's fun at their house when both teams complete against other :)

It's fun enough in my 3-people house. We have Cats vs Saints vs Magpies.
