The REAL Longest Thread In Dis History Part 6

I am totally not paying attention. Instead of just scanning the card I printed the front page! I totally heard it printing too but was too busy reading trying to catch up to realize that I didn't mean for it to do that!

Back around 1998 or so I went to NYC to see Reba in concert in a small venue with my son and my girlfriend. We were right in front and the show was being broadcast live on TV. During the commercial Reba called me up on the stage and we were chatting and then when the commercial was over I went to sit down and she told me to stay so I was on live TV with Reba! After the show she had me come back up on stage and I got my girlfriend to go up with me and we got our pic taken with Reba. Right after that Reba danced with my son up on stage. It was the best time ever. She's such a really nice, down to earth person. Here's the pic of it. it's dated now because I took the picture of the picture on the wall, lol.

That's awesome. I was going to go with my mom to see Reba back in 1996. She got tickets through a friend and I think we were 8th row. She got tickets for a friend she worked with too and ended up getting mad at her and not wanting to go so she sold her ticket to one of my friends who already had a ticket for the lawn (outdoor arena) but was really excited to get closer. I'm sure I had more fun with the friend anyway. Toby Kieth opened but we were busy getting drinks and food and only heard him sing and didn't see him.

The lady she was mad at was really surprised that she wasn't there. That's my mom, when she's mad at you you don't even know it!

Yes, Sharky is very Snarky! She didn't seem to understand why I didn't show hers to my 8 year old.

My card from Marshay. Sorry, one of the eyes fell off and I couldn't find it. I know it was there when I opened the thing. I will have to find another one to glue on.

Several of the little silver beads from these letters came off the back during mailing so when I opened the card I got a big surprise!


P.S. Mama, did you get my card yet? I was so stressed with going to visit my friend I ended up not getting it mailed until July 4! Not sure how long it takes to get there.

so I went out to the kitchen to get a bottle of water and my dad was making himself a peanut butter and Mayonaise sandwich... ew...

Yuck!!!!! I like peanut butter and honey though.

That is so cool you got to go see Reba too. I love her and have seen her many, many times but this time being in the front and getting to actually be on stage with her was something else, something I'll never forget.

Wow when your Mom gets mad, she gets mad, lol. I love Toby Keith too but have never seen him in person.

No I haven't gotten your card yet but that's okay, this way my birthday keeps going and going. Of course that's great unless I have to get another year old every day I get cards, ,

Marshay, did you see I posted your card to me also? It's a number of pages back! I had the cute little Mickey too and my eyes came off in transit but I used 2 sided tape and fixed his eyes. It made me so sad taht Mickey had gone blind.

That was nice. When my cousin got married her SIL's BF asked her to marry him the night before the wedding and then announced it at their reception. My cousin was TICKED OFF! No, he didn't ask first which probably would have been a totally different situation.

It was very nice.

They are divorced now, though..

Yeah, that was the first thing I asked dh, after I said Yes, of course..you asked right...he had asked the bride, her future husband and her parents...so we were good to go...

I definitley didin;t want to steal the spotlight and I could understand why your cousin would be upset

I worked in Telecommunications for companies like MCI, WorldCom, Telcordia and Verizon. I was everything from Regulatory Analyst to Project Manager. My coolest job was the RA...if you google my name you'll see lots of pages where I testified (esp in TX, but also FL, IL, etc) before each of the state's Public Utility Commissions!!

Now I'm a SAHM -- and it's the best job!!!
