I haven't seen anything on the Plaza restaurant in MK lately. I ate at this restaurant several years ago and remember it was very goo. How has it been lately? I'd appreciate some reviews. Thanks!

We had lunch there this month and I'm happy to report that I think it's back to it's former glory.

It's been a favorite of all in my family for many years but maybe two years ago, service started to become really slow at least when we had lunch there. I don't think it was the fault of the servers who always came to the table in a timely fashion, refilled drinks, etc.. I think it was something going on in the kitchen?:confused3 Anyway, I started not scheduling it for most trips but am very glad we went back this one.

Dot was our server and she was great! When I questioned whether to try the broccoli slaw, she brought me a sample without asking. I asked if I could get some fresh fruit as dessert for our diabetic son...no problem at all.

We had a very good lunch there in August. The sandwiches were very good; service was great.

We ate an early dinner there at the end of September and we all loved it. Good service, good food (nothing fancy - sandwiches and fries) and excellent ice cream! :thumbsup2 At the end of our 10 day trip my DH told me that he would be willing to eat CP breakfast everyday of our trip and the Plaza for lunch or dinner as long as he could get that banana split everytime!;)

Great to hear!! We will be trying it for the first time in Feb.

They have the best prewrapped brownies in WDW. We always pick up several to have as emergency snacks.

I had lunch there three times in September. They have delicious burgers! The service was good, and if you can get a window seat, you can't beat the view, especially from the solarium.

I read all the reviews of this restaurant so on one of our trips we tried it.. not this past year, but the one before. Anyway, it must have been an off day because the service was not good, food worse, and we were practically sitting with the people beside us.....you could barely get into your seat that is how close they were.....I have not gone back and probably will not. Truly, I need to have a better quality meal and a bit more room to talk while dining.. It was so close quarters......

I know they do a fine business, but not us.. not again.

We too were surprised by the proximity of the tables. I couldn't get up without moving my table away from a neighbors. We went in Feb and they were still working out the kinks of the DDP changes - it was the only restaurant we went to where that was the case. It was the weakest service of the trip, too.

That being said, the food was fine. The restaurant was clean and bright and while not a favorite, we'd eat there again.
