The Plaza is the latest success in Disney's quest to lower food quality and laugh at us from afar. I'm thinking they know who's on
YouTube or has any type of following, and specifically prepare one good thing for those folks, because I seem to have much different experiences than the influencers, and I doubt that's a coincidence. I'm actually nervous eating at Disney restaurants these days since some have gotten so unbelievably bad. Tony's was the test, and I guess when people still ate there, they figure they may as well cash in on the captive audience.
Our last visit to the Plaza included 2 of 3 entrees sent back, settling for mediocre (at best) hamburgers for $20. Last month I sat at Whispering Canyon Cafe, tried each item in the skillet, and promptly asked the server to take it away so I could go eat somewhere else, which I did. Disney dining has to be the biggest practical joke in history. I cut them some slack due to covid and have had a few decent meals in the last year, but overall I'm less than amused at some of the dining "experiences". Unless you are at a signature restaurant, it's a coin toss if your meal will be acceptable. At these prices, it should exceed expectations, not invoke anxiety.
