For most this isn't the most popular or hard to get ADR, but what I don't get is the inconsistency.
One day I came across a 3:00 ADR so I grabbed it but have been trying to modify it for weeks to a later time (4:00) and am told repeatedly by CMs "its walk up only" or "no reservations past 12" (some have reported 3:00). Today I see a 4:00 online. I try and book it online and can't. I try and book it through the automated system and cant. I wait for a CM who tells me "its walk up only" I tell her I'm looking at a 4:00 online, can you please check. She comes back "oh I see it, would you like to make the ADR?"
So after she books it I ask if she can please check another date for 5 days later (for us its a great sit down for pre-party dining) and she says "its usually walk up only" and maybe they made an exception for that one night you already booked". I didn't have the heart to tell her I already had an earlier ADR that I was trying to modify until later.
But wow, what's with all the inconsistency with booking ADRs here?? If they want it to be walk-up only, that's fine, but to say it is, when its not, is confusing.
