Tuesday April 19

We were up early and in breakfast just after 7. This meant we were in time to get a bus that got us to the Park at 7.55.

We went on Buzz twice and then Dtr did Space Mountain. When we went into Fantasyland we could see that more fences had gone up overnight - this time by Toad Hall so you can no longer walk that way from Peter Pan to Dumbo.

We went onto Peter Pan

and then back to Discoveryland to have another go on Buzz. Much to Dtr's disgust I won, which made the score 2-1 to me for the morning.

We went to Salon Mickey where Dtr had a croissant and I had the tastiest almond pastry ever made!

We shared a bottle of water and then decided to go and queue for Pirates at rope drop. We were on by 10.15 it was a funny ride - there was a door left open (near where the girl hides in a barrel) so you could see the corridor behind. Also the pirate who sings and plays the accordion was broken - his head was bent down like he was staring at his stomach and water was coming from his mouth - just as if he was drooling all down himself. His shirt was soaking wet and the water was dripping from the accordion - most strange.

From here we went to Indiana for Dtr to ride -

they didn’t rope drop until 10.30 and there were a number of people in the queue who had very small children with them - in one case, a baby in a pushchair. Of course this added to the scrum when it opened as the CMs had to pull them to one side and measure them. One Dad just behind us was determined to get his children through, telling them to get right in front of him and scurry past. They then queued all the way round to be rejected at the last minute, because the CM was checking heights right before people got on. I'm guessing people don't realize the height restrictions are on safety grounds.

We took a few views in Adventureland

plus a couple of 'selfies'

and then it was gone 11 so we went over to Casey Jr, where there was hardly any queue, followed by a ride round on LPDCDF. The flowers were really pretty on here.

We wandered out of the Park then,

going first to the shop in the station to buy sandwiches and then back to the hotel by shuttle bus. We put our sandwiches in the fridge in our room and went out for a walk by the lake. The gardens are really green at the moment.

The weather was perfect and it was very relaxing, quiet and calming out there. We did a circuit of the lake and then sat for a while at the edge, just soaking up the sun and enjoying the quiet.

After a while we came back to the hotel, stopping off first at 'internet corner'. It never occurred to me that the French keyboard would need to be different from ours. It gave us quite a giggle trying to work out where the different letters were! :rotfl:

We went to our room and ate our lunch (bought sandwiches, crisps and individual jellies bought from home) and then settled down for a little doze.

After freshening up we went back on the bus and went into the Studios.

Stitch Live was just about to begin in English so we watched that then walked straight from there into Cinemagique. We then queued for a while at TOT.

Studios were just about to close so we went on the Flying Carpets as our last ride there.

Back in the main park we went onto Phantom Manor and then for our second ride of the day on POTC. The pirate still had his head down, but he was no longer drooling.

We decided to make Snow White our last ride of the day. It was just about 9 and we had a booking at 9.15 in Inventions so we made our way past IASW towards Main Street to get to DLH.

We sat downstairs at the DLH for me to ring my mum (she was having an op on Weds - I knew she was a bit anxious, poor thing). Dtr was laughing at how wide the sofa was - she couldn't bend her legs!

I have reported on the review thread about how nice our meal was. Here are the character photos....

Afterwards, feeling very full and ready for bed, we went and caught a shuttle (still busy at about 10.30) and were soon in bed.

Your DD looks all grown up with her new hair cut! princess:

Shame about the problems on pirate: POTC

I am now going to go an read your Inventions review...

p.s. hope your Mum's op went ok

We saw that Heron in January (no proof it's the same one but I can pretend) he was over near Big Thunder Mountain when we came off Phantom Manor we spotted him.

Fantastic trip report so far. The weather looks amazing!

That's the first time I've ever seen people riding the storybook boat ride in Fantasyland - it has always been closed when I have been there-:confused3.

Looks like a great springtime trip!:)

Another lovely day. Your DD looks more grown up each time she goes. Fab photos:goodvibes
