The one that got away

Do you have one? Or more importantly is there someone out there that considers you the "one that got away"?


If I may be so blunt, I am pretty sure there is at least one guy and his family that think I was the one that got away. Of course he was a complete loser that worked sporadically and hit the bottle daily. I was a hard working, home owner at the age of 24. Of course I was the one that got away. He probably has to work now.

Well to toot my own horn I was the one that got away, every now and then I still see his mother and she stops me to tell me how much he loved me and blah blah blah. He was a complete loser and I'm rather embarassed to say that I ever even dated him

I was also the one that got away, I married his cousin(long story)years later, and see him at all of the family functions- LOL. Him and his Mom(my DH's aunt) say I would have been great for him- I beg to differ!! He is a 33 year old single dad of 2, who still lives with his Mom(and he could afford to live on his own), and has been divorced two times from his crazy baby's mothers. His Mom and him also respect the fact that I'm a good mother- his kids' mothers' left him with the kids. I'll pass though- DH and I are very happy and have been married for 12 years.
